Chapter 2: You Can't Run Forever
Zack’s P.O.V
I knocked on Erin’s door just in case she was indecent; didn't want her to think that I was a creeper or anything.
“Come on in!” She yelled from inside. I opened the door and immediately the first thing I noticed was all of the band merch and band posters. I walked around the living room and then soon saw her mass amount of guitars; but the one that caught my attention was her Hellraiser Extreme C-1 FR. I strummed a little so that I could get a feel for her style. I set it back down and walked around looking at the posters; she has great taste in music and apparently in movies since the first one in her set of DVD’s was Night of the Living Dead. I sat down on her couch and rubbed at my lips trying to keep my mind off of the fact that she was amazing.
“Hey Zack can you come up here and tie my bikini top?” I heard Erin call from upstairs. I sat there for a moment trying to analyze the situation but I stopped and got up and made my way up the stairs. I was half way down the long hallway when Erin walked out of her bedroom holding the strings of her bikini top in her hands behind her head. I stopped in my tracks at the sight of Erin in only her bikini top and bottom. Tan legs, long brown hair and bright green eyes; she is gorgeous. I was completely speechless.
Erin’s P.O.V
I sat there holding my white bikini top strings behind my head and noticed that Zack was unresponsive. I walked over to him and waved my hand in front of his face.
“Zack” I said. He snapped out of it and grabbed my wrist taking me by surprise. I breathed in deeply at his touch and he swung me around quickly and tied my top for me. I adjusted my top a little and he swung me back around with his hand on my back sending chills up my spine.
“How did you swing me around that fast?” I asked and he just laughed and walked into my room and grabbed my bag for me. I went into my bathroom grabbing my aviators and my beach towel and walked downstairs to put on my flip flops. Zack was waiting and seemed a little impatient. Man that boy was really fast. I got my shoes on and Zack grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the house. When we got outside the whole band and the ladies were out there.
“Yay Erin is coming!” Val yelled running over to me and throwing her arms around me giggling.
“Alright enough of the girliness; let’s go to the beach!!” Johnny called out. As soon as we got there Val and I ran to an empty area and claimed our spots in the sun. We lied down with our shades on just soaking up the UV rays.
"So Erin; what was it like in Nebraska?" Val asked as we lied there.
"It was okay for a while; snow really sucks. I didn't have to good of a life there and so I moved here to get a new start. But it wasn't terrible out there." I said to her. She turned over and put her sunglasses on the top of her head.
"What were the guys like; were they hotties?" She asked making me giggle a lot but then I stopped and thought about Jake. I was out of it now recalling my past. Suddenly I felt as if I couldn't hold back my tears and I got up and grabbed my towel and my bag and started running home. When I made it back to the house I literally threw everything into the living room not caring what happened; I looked over and there was a package on my coffee table. I went over and unwrapped it and opened the box; there was pictures from dinner last night and pictures of me on the bus ride through different states and even pictures of me in my bedroom stripping off my clothes. I sat down in shock and opened up the card that was inside.
Erin,
Don't think that you can hide from me. I have friends everywhere and they are watching you.

I gazed at the card in fear and then looked around and closed all of the shades and curtains on the windows and then lied down on the couch in my bathing suit looking at all the pictures scattered around the coffee table. I drifted off to sleep even though I heard my phone ringing non-stop.
*I knew that it was a nightmare because there was no way that time had turned back to this day.
I walked down the hallway trying to be as quiet as I possibly could but it just wasn't enough because I felt Jake throw me against the wall pinning me to it tightly.
"How the fuck could you do this to me you little bitch" He yelled in my face and grabbed my chin in his hand roughly. A year before this happened I had just started dating Jake and we were happy but what I didn't know is that there was something bad about him. Something powerful and dark that no person could begin to even comprehend.
"Jake just leave me alone; you brought this on yourself" I said trying to break from his hold.
"When I told you my secret you swore that you wouldn't leave me and that you would keep your fucking pretty little mouth shut and you fucking betrayed me" He yelled and slapped me.*
I shot up from sleeping and ran my fingers through my hair pushing my long locks out of my face. I cleaned up the pictures and then heard a loud knock on my door.
"Come in" I yelled while throwing on some sweat pants and a tank top. I heard whoever it was run up the stairs and down the hall. When I turned around it was Zack and he hugged me holding me tightly in his arms. He was crushing me a little with how strong he was and I could feel his bulging muscles on every inch of his arms which was intoxicating. He broke from the hug and I sat there just gazing at him while he was only in swim trunks.
"Are you okay? Jesus you scared the fuck out me Erin" He said taking me off guard.
"I-I'm sorry; I just had to leave." I said trying to get over my little flashback.
"But you could have answered my calls, texted me or even told me that you were going. Everyone was freaking out. Val thinks that she did something wrong" Zack said almost scolding me. I noticed that his eyes went to a deeper green when he got mad. I sat there not knowing what to say and just sat down on my bed with my head in my hands.
"Oh Erin I am so sorry I didn't mean to make you upset" He said sitting down next to me and rubbing my back. I looked up into his eyes and was just so mesmerized; I felt drawn to him almost like there was a strong connection between the two of us. We gazed into each other's eyes and he smiled softly at me and I blushed a little and looked down at the floor. I felt Zack's hand stroke my cheek softly making me close my eyes.
"Erin look at me" He said and I looked up and my eyes caught his gaze and before I could assess the situation he kissed me roughly but then before I knew it he had disappeared from my room...
