Chapter 11
I woke up with my face buried in Matt's chest as the events from last night started to come back to me. If only I could live it over and over again.
I moved my way away from Matt and to the nightstand next to me where my phone was. I grabbed it and turned it on to see that I had a message from Brian who was asking what time they should arrive for dinner. Until then I had forgotten that it was thanksgiving. I texted Brian back a random as I heard shuffling behind me.
"Morgan" Matt mumbled behind me.
"Matt" I said sweetly as I looked down at him.
"Come here" he whispered as he opened his arms up.
I gladly rolled over to him and fell into his arms.
"Happy thanksgiving" I mumbled with a laugh.
Matt just smiled before placing a kiss on my forehead. I eventually got up and proceeded to take a shower and get changed. When I got out Matt was already downstairs preparing for the day that was ahead of us.
"Where are we eating" I asked him as I walked down the long stair case.
"Dining room" Matt said as he continued to do whatever he was doing in the kitchen.
I went into the kitchen and grabbed some of the nicer silberware and plates and I began to set the table. Memories began coming back to me as I recalled thanksgivings I had celebrated in the past. Thanksgivings in the Stoermer household were the best. We had every type of food and dessert possible. All my cousins would come over and it was never a bad time. If course after my parents passed that all came to an end because my family bagan to get greedy and I couldn't be around them. Even last year I remember sitting home alone on thanksgiving and eating a normal meal. It was really depressing.
The day passed by quickly. Matt and I spent the day preparing the house for guests, even though the only people coming were the guys so it wouldn't matter if the house was a complete mess. Matt wanted it to look nice though and I followed what he wished.
We ha finally finished and were sitting down on the couch when Brian and Jimmy stormed through the door with Johnny and Zacky behind them.
"We have arrived" Jimmy announced as he spread his arms wide open.
"Have you ever heard of knocking" Matt scowled.
"Knocking is for the weak" Brian huffed.
"That sentance doesn't even make sense" I laughed slightly, directing my attention towards Brian.
"Who cares" Brian said shrugging.
"Are you drunk?" Matt questions, "Don't tell me you guys came to Johnny's before you came here"
"No we're just happy" jimmy said loudly.
"Can't we be happy?" Brian retorted.
Matt walked away with their comment.
"Hey Morgan" Zacky and Johnny said in unicen to me as they walked past me and followed Matt. I followed behind them and Brian and Jimmy followed as well.
Matt led us into the dining room where the table was set by me. Matt and Zacky began to bring out food and fill the table as the rest of us sat down.
"Let'a eat!" Matt announced as he sat down next to me and placed a quick kiss on the side of my head. I shot him a warm smile as I began to fill my plate with food. The room was silent as we stuffed our faces with the masses of food.
"I have a toast to make" Jimmy announced, "well is more of an announcement"
We all directed our attention towards him.
"Since it's thanksgiving and all I just want to say that I am very thankful for all the people sitting around this table. Brian, Matt, Zacky, Johnny, you guys are my best friends, you're my family, you're my brothers, you're always there for me when I need you most. I'm very thankful for you all and my life wouldn't be complete without you" Jimmy spoke with sincerity.
As I looked around the table, all the guy's eyes were glassy andB rian got up to give Jimmy a huge hug.
"and as for you Morgan," Jimmy began, " I'm very thankful for you, you're an amazing friend and an even more amazing girl. You're by far one of the strongest people I've ever met because you've been through so much unessessary shit. But I'm very thankful for you and I love you"
"Jimmy" I said softly, "you're too sweet!"
"I think that's how we all feel about you" Brian chimed in as a chorus of yes's filled the room. I was flattered.
"As long as were saying why were thankful," I began carefully, "I just want to say that I am more than thankful for all of you. I'm thankful for the night that Matt found my in the alley way all the way to this moment. My life hasn't been a happy one and for the past 3 years I've been in a deep depression but the past months I've spent with you 5 have honestly been the best 5 months of my life because you have made me happy and you have given me a sense of belonging in the avenged sevenfold family. When I'm talking like this I have a tendency to rant on and on so ill end it here by saying I love you all very much and thank you very very much"
All the guys were looking at me with smiles. Brian and Matt were both crying.
"Morgan" Matt mumbled as I turned towards him and looked him in the eyes, "I love you" he said as he pulled me into a hug.
"I love you too Morgan" Brian said as he pulled me into a hug, "we all love you"
I just smiled as I acknowledged their words.
The hours of the night passed away until finally it was time for the guys to leave. I can say in all honesty that this was one of the best days of my life.
I began walking upstairs when I heard Matt call my name from the living room.
I wandered through the theshold and sat down next to him.
"You wanted me?" I asked.
"I did" he smirked.
"Why?" I said as I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Because it's my turn to tell you how thankful I am for you." Matt smiled.
"Matt you-" I began to say before he cut me off.
"Let me say this" he pleaded with me.
I held my hands up to surrender.
"Morgan, I am very thankful to have you in my life. You're everything to me. My light, my love, my heart, my world. I'm so thankful for the day I found you in the alleyway. That day was full of fate. We are meant to be together. I'm thankful that you survived through the whole Andrew situation and I'm thankful to have such a strong and beautiful girl as my girlfriend. I love you" Matt spoke as he placed a gentle kiss on my lips.
I could feel myself smiling against his lips.
"You're the best boyfriend" I whispered to him.
"Oh, and I think it's about time for me to do this" Matt said as he pulled a ring out of his pocket, "I've been carrying it with me since the day we broke up."
He held the run out in front of me as he took my hand and slid the ring into it.
“Oh Matt” I said in awe.
“So, will you be my girlfriend?” Matt pondered.
“Of course” I said as I collapsed into his arms and he pulled me into a hug as a smile was plastered on my face.
It was finally official again.
Matt is mine and I am Matt's.
