Second Chances

I woke up in a haze. Where am I? I looked around and noticed that I was in the basement. My stomach growled and my thirst intensified. I looked at the door and found it open just a crack. Everything turned red from there and I dashed madly out the door up the stairs and out of the house. I could smell my protectors, maybe a little more strongly than usual but I just kept running into the woods that surrounded the house. I scaled up a tree and sat there for a second then caught the scent of a deer. I’m eatin good tonight.

I jumped around from tree to tree in the direction I smelled the doe. Soon I was right above it. I jumped down from the tree that I was perched in and sunk my teeth into its neck. I ripped at the flesh with my teeth as the life started to dissipate from the animal. Oh god I’m so fucking hungry! I started eating chunks out of it’s side and legs when I heard a rustle in the trees making me snap my head up and let out a low growl. Renu popped out of the trees and so followed the rest of my boys and the men of Sevenfold. “That was awesome!” Jimmy shouted. I cracked a smile and wiped some blood off my face. “You’re all bloody.” Johnny said. “Well duh, I’m hunting.” I said and crossed my arms over my chest. “I see you already sucked all the blood out.” Renu said looking at the doe I killed. “Yeah, I was thirsty as shit.” “Well you could of just told me and I would of taken care of it.” Brian said wrapping an arm around my waist. “Not that kind of thirsty.” I said and playfully pushed his arm off me. “Come on I have to find more animals so I can have a blood storage cause I’m pretty sure you guys don’t want me feeding off of you.”

By the end of the night I caught 4 squirrels and 2 rabbits. We left the carcasses but Renu bagged the blood for me. “We don’t have to drink blood, do we?” Johnny asked while we were walking back to the house. “No.” I chuckled. “But putting blood on your skin makes your skin super soft.” He made a slight disgusted face and I laughed at it. The first thing I did when we got back to the house was I cleaned up and put on a Skillet tee and black and white checkered shorts and fresh undies.

I walked back down stairs and into the kitchen where everybody was at. I sat down on Brian’s lap and kissed his cheek. “This is awesome, I’ve been awake for about 24 hours and I’m not even tired.” Zack said. “Yeah you guys probably won’t need to sleep for about another two days mattering on how much sleep you got. You will also find that you will need to consume 3x the normal amount of alcohol to get drunk. It takes 4 bottles of vodka for me just to get a good kind of drunk and it doesn’t burn so you can just chug that shit.” “Damn.” Matt remarked. “So what’s on the agenda for today?” I asked. “Training starts tomorrow so todays a free day.” Renu answered. “We should dig a moat.” I said and lightly slammed my fist on the table. “We should take Bikini Bottom and push it somewhere else!” Ichero said. “That might just be crazy enough…...TO GET US ALL KILLED!” Uoh yelled and smacked him upside the head. “I still think we should dig a moat.” I remarked while crossing my arms over my chest. “You guys are weirdos.” Matt said. “We’re not weirdos, we’re just insane.” “No you guys are just weird.” Zack said. I got up on top of the table and shouted: “I’M WEIRD AND I’M PROUD!” then got down and sat in Brian’s lap again. “I’M WEIRD AND I’M PROUD!” Jimmy yelled as well standing on top of the table. “Jimmy don’t encourage them.” Matt said. “Why not!?” He whined. “Because I don’t need anymore people standing on where we eat.” “Speaking of which I’ll make you guys breakfast, you must be hungry.” I said and got up from Brian’s lap.

I went into the kitchen and pulled out the things I would need for making what I had in mind. I decided on bellinies (Russian pancakes) which are basically like crepes. I finished up making the pancakes and made a dipping sauce out of sour cream and sugar.Then I made a pot of coffee so you can also dip them in coffee which also tastes amazing.

I put down the plate of bellinies in front of the guys with the sour cream and sugar and gave them all a cup of coffee. "BELLINIES!!!!" Ichero screamed. "Yes and now I need a hearing aid!" I said and rubbed my ears. "They look like crepes." Zack said. "Yeah but this is like pancakes to a Russian guy." I said and took one and dipped it in my coffee and took a bite out of it.

Soon all the bellinies were gone and me and Jimmy were locked in a fierce staring contest. “Jimmy I have eyes of steel, you will not win.” “We’ll see.” He said smugly. From behind I sensed Johnny sneaking up probably to try to scare me into blinking. “Don’t even think about Jonathan.” I said not breaking my gaze on Jimmy. “Awwww!” He whined. “You’re on your own dude.” “Damn it.” Jimmy cursed making him blink. “Ohhhhh you blinked! Victory is mine!!!” I yelled. Renu smacked me upside the head as he walked by. “Hey! You wanna go Renu?” “Yes let’s go have a meeting really quick.” “Boring.” I said while following him out the back door.

“What’s up Renu?” I asked while lighting up a cigaret and taking a drag off it. “Toby is on the move again. Scouts have found him in the vicinity.” “Exactly where?” “At our old apartment.” “Shit. What do you think he would be doing there?” “Probably trying to find some clues to where you went missing.” “Do you think he had nothing to do with hiring Sevenfold to exterminate me?” “It would seem that way, but he might just be trying to make it look like it wasn’t him.” “True, we need to get those guys trained and get out there and end this all.” Renu nodded understandingly. I put out the cigaret and went inside with Renu following behind me.

“Group meeting in the living room!” I called out to everybody. Soon everybody came out of their reaches of the house and converged into the living room. “Ok so one of our enemies, Toby, has been spotted at our old apartment. We have reasons to believe that he is either looking for clues to where we have gone or to make it look like he isn’t the person that hit Sevenfold up with our extermination. We’re going to hit it hard with training because we need to get out there and take care of this mess asap. Also Matt I’m going to need all the information you can provide on who set you up with my hit. There’s more people that want the crystal dead than you think, whatever you can provide will be very beneficial.” “Can do.” Matt answered to me. “Great, we start training bright and early tomorrow so get lots of rest. You are free to go enjoy the rest of your day off.” Everybody dispersed off to where they came from but Matt and Renu stayed so we can get some information on the person who started this all.

After what Matt told Renu and I we have nothing to go off of. They were called by an untraceable number, he used a voice morpher and they never actually met him. He gave them a location where they found a file with all the information they need and their pay. Grrrrrrr I was hoping we would get more than just a dead end.

“I’m going outside for a smoke.” I said and got up from where Matt, Renu and I were sitting. I went out the back door and leaned up against the side of the house as I lit one up. I slid down the wall and sat criss cross with my back against the wall. I heard the door open and close and looked up to see Brian. “So you’re the one that stole my marlboros.” “Tee hee.” I said and took another drag of my cigaret. He sat down beside me and I handed him back his pack of cigarettes and his lighter. “Thank you.” He said and lit one up. “I didn’t know you smoked.” He said while exhaling the smoke. “Only when I’m stressed.” “Then what’s got you all stressed out.” “Well, we are targeting the guy or girl that set you guys up with my hit and after all Matt has told me we got nothing. How are we gonna find this person when they did very well covering up their tracks?” I said and put my head in my hands. Brian wrapped his arms around me and pulled me tight into his chest. “Hun I’m confident that we will find this guy and take him out.” “I sure hope so Brian.” “Hey I know so.” He said moving my face towards his and laying a gentle kiss on my lips. I relaxed into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck. He pulled away and rested his forehead on mine. “You’re so beautiful.” He whispered and stroked the side of my face. “Stahp it.” I said and nudged his face with my fist. “Hey, how about we cuddle up together to a movie.” He asked. “That sounds amazing.” I said and put out the rest of my cigaret. Brian put his cigaret out as well and we walked back inside hand in hand.

“What kind of movie do you want to watch? Romance? Comedy? Horror? Action?” Brian asked me while he was looking through the movies he had in his bed room. “Horror.” “Horror it is.” He said popping in Paranormal Activity 4. He then crawled up the bed next to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I laid my head on his chest while he pressed play on the remote.

“That was so not scary. Paranormal Activity disappointed me.” I said after the movie was over. “Awww your not even a tiny bit scared?” Brian whined. “Nope.” “Damn it, I was hoping you would get scared and I would stroke your hair and whisper into your ear sweet nothings to make you feel better.” “Maybe if I pick the movie I can find one that scares the shit out of me just for you.” “Sounds perfect.” He said and lightly pressed his lips to mine. I pulled away from him and got up to find a different movie. I picked Apollo 18 and put it in the dvd player. I ran and jumped on Brian and he made a loud oufff. “Love you.” I said and pressed my lips to his. “Sure you do.” He said and played the movie. “Shut up the movie is starting.” He snorted and rolled his eyes before he relaxed and wrapped his arms around me again.

The movie started off slow like all horror movies but then it got into the horror. I screamed a little when the astronaut found the dead cosmonaut and buried my face into Brian’s chest. He did as he said he would and stroked my hair while he whispered sweet sayings into my ear. But when the moon rock spiders showed up I lost my shit. “Brian I hate spiders!!!” I squealed and buried my face into his chest and pulled his t shirt up around my eyes as I cried. “Oh hun it’s ok. There is no moon spiders.” “How do you know that you’ve never been to the moon.” “Because spiders don’t just spring up from rocks.” I screamed again when one of the sound effects from the movie caught me off guard. “I’m turning it off.” “Please Brian.” He grabbed the remote and quickly shut it off. I stayed curled up against Brian’s chest as I cried. “No more horror movies for tonight.” I nodded against his chest to let him know that I was ok with what he said. “Wanna watch a comedy to make you feel better?” “No I don’t need it when you’re here.” He wrapped his arms tighter around me and kissed the top of my head. “I love you Brian.” I mumbled into his chest. “I love you too baby girl.” I smiled and picked my head up so I can give him a peck on the lips. We stayed cuddled up together and talked about our lives and funny stories until we fell asleep.

Sorry for taking forever to update guys. Spent a lot of my time studying for some major state testing. Sad part is it's not over yet. Have two more days of testing in April. So this was more of a filler and Rouger will be incorporated later on in the chapters.
