It's Not Rocket Science
Madi’s P.O.V
I woke up the next morning and walked down to see Amy, Brian, who I assumed to be Amy's parents and Brian's dad sleeping on my living room floor. “What the hell?” I asked looking over at Tyler who was the only one on a piece of furniture. He shrugged before speaking up.
“They came back after they realized I was a teenage boy, and you were a teenage girl. They assumed we were going to go at it when you woke up. Sheesh…I mean seriously? I haven’t really been with anyone since Emma,” he stated which was true. He’s looked at girls and been on dates but nothing other than a kiss on the cheek goodnight. I nodded and hugged him tightly before looking up.
“Breakfast?” I asked as there was knocking on the front door which woke up the sleeping group of six. I walked over and opened it to get tackled in a hug by Lea. “Holy shit…Lea…how?”
“After I heard what happened…I had to come see you…by the way, this kid named Brent walked up too,” she stated pointing. I smiled at Brent and waved.
“Brent is my neighbor from down the street. He also apologized for his brother’s stupidity. Anyways…I was just about to make breakfast…what would you and Ty and possibly Brent want?” I asked pulling myself up.
I decided against it when they stayed quiet and made some pancakes for the four of us before setting the table. All that I could think about was the funeral...and it brought tears to my eyes. I shook my head and wiped at my eyes and put the food on the table. I felt Ty give me a tight hug before whispering to me.
"I bet Emma's keeping him company and keeping him sane," I nodded and sat down before picking at a couple of pancakes, I closed my eyes and then began to eat...just to keep Ty happy. I laughed as Lea took her seat after stepping on Amy's foot as she walked to the dinning room table.
"How long are ya staying Lea?" I asked softly.
"After the funeral. I had to come see you. You're like my sister, and Jake was a brother to me too," I nodded as Brent commented that he was gonna go home and bug McKenna. I nodded with a soft smile before standing up and clearing the plates that we were done with. I put them in the dishwasher and walked back to the table as the Haners and Johnsons watched me. I rolled my eyes as Amy asked her parents if she had to stay. I turned to her and spoke up.
"No one asked you to stay," I said it in a low tone. "And I sure as hell don't want you here. So, nothing's holding you back," I stated as I stood up and made a statement. "I am gonna go take a shower. You don't want to be here, then leave. It's not fucking rocket science," I explained with a roll of my eyes. "See you guys in a bit," I stated looking towards Ty and Lea.
Ty gave me a worried look as I made my way to the stairs. I smiled reassuringly at him, he knows that I used to take scorching hot showers. I smiled softly, silently reassuring him that's not going to happen, before walking up the stairs and to the bathroom inside my room.
Tyler's P.O.V
I watched her go before turning to Amy. "Why'd you stay? Cause mommy and daddy don't trust me home alone with my best friend? Or was it cause Brian stayed? Either way...you can leave now," I stated cold as Lea smirked and walked up to her.
"You better leave before you piss Madi off and she knocks you the fuck out," she smirked as Amy rolled her eyes and marched out. Lea rolled her eyes as the diva slammed the door behind her.
"Sorry about that," Amy's mom mumbled before getting up and walking out with her husband leaving the Haners here. I rolled my eyes as the two looked at us as if we had corrupted something innocent.
"Hey Lea? You wanna bring me the hoodie I left in the dryer please?" Madi's voice rang from the doorway.
Brian's P.O.V
I looked over and bit my lip as I noticed she was in a towel. And not one of those long beach towels either, it went to about the middle of her thighs. I know I should be ashamed, having a girlfriend and all...but I couldn't help but look her up and down. Taking in every detail of the parts of her body I could see. Even though Amy may say mean things about Madi...all I can say is any insults towards her body are definitely false.
She smiled as Lea handed her the hoodie. With that in hand she walked back upstairs and got dressed before walking back down and answering the phone. "Yeah, Dad it's true. The funeral is tomorrow," she sighed and nodded before hanging up.
