Promises Broken and Words Left Unspoken
Getting to Know the New Girl
Brian’s P.O.V
“You must be new,” Zacky stated with an easy going smile he reserved for friends…which was weird. She flashed a quick smile.
“I guess you could say that,” she shrugged, “I’m Madi,” she added. “Now if you don’t mind, someone wanna walk me to the office? Bagger boy? I’m sorry…its Zacky right?” she smiled as he laughed. We laughed at the fact that he let her get away with calling him bagger boy. Amy offered Madi help and the two walked off. And with that said we went to class.
By the time lunch came around, Amy waved over Madi. She nodded and made her way to our table. “So I thought we could talk?” Amy stated with a soft smile. Madi sighed and then shrugged. Amy took it as the go ahead. “So where’d you move from?”
“From New York…to Chicago. To here,” Madi answered in a monotone voice before pulling a book out of her backpack and opening it. She began to read before asking, “Anything else?”
“Best friends?” she asked as we looked on.
“I have two. Lea back in Chicago, and Tyler in New York,” she stated, never looking up from her book. Amy smiled before speaking up.
“Well this is Val, Zacky, Brian, Matt, Jimmy and Johnny,” Madi nodded but looked happy when the bell rang.
After school I went home and decided to finally get rid of that stupid locket. I walked in and pulled it out of my drawer and stared at it. I was about to walk out but Amy walked in. “Oh it’s so pretty…is it…is it for me?” she asked eyeing it with a smile. I smiled before nodding without even giving it a second thought.
“Yeah…sure thing. Here,” I beckoned her over and hooked it around her neck. And then attached my lips to her neck. Which led to the shedding of clothes and the locking of my door.
