Promises Broken and Words Left Unspoken
Graduation

I sighed as my alarm clock blared. It was eight in the morning on a Saturday. Why do we need to graduate on the damn weekend anyway? I was told that even though we only need to be at the school at about six at night, I needed to get up and get everything ready. I groaned as my alarm clock continued to blare at me. It was almost like it was mocking me. I hit the snooze button and then turned it off before rolling over to go back to bed. It was bad enough that I hadn't been sleeping that well since the accident. I kept having nightmares where the car was too blurry to make out. I feel like I know it from somewhere but the more I try to figure it out, the worse my head starts to throb. Going back to the topic of graduation and waking up early, I felt bad for girls who really had to spend the day getting ready. Poor Madison.
I was rudely awoken later by my mom who poured cold water on my face. She knew it was one of the only ways to get me up. I groaned but rolled off my bed anyway. I pushed myself up and headed for the bathroom to take a shower. This was going to suck, tonight in general was going to suck. Why couldn't they just give us our diplomas anyway? It would be so much easier than going through this torture!
After taking a shower, I wrapped a towel around my waist and headed to my room. My mom had been generous enough to let me sleep in for another two and a half hours. It was about eleven when I walked out. I closed my door and pulled on boxers. I used the towel to dry the rest of my body and then dry my hair enough that I could use gel in it. I spent the next hour or so spiking my hair and looking through my clothes. I found a nice dress shirt, and some dress pants. My mom had tried to get me to buy a suit... But i refused to get one.
I pulled out my eyeliner and applied it. And yes I know that sounds kind of girly the way I worded that. I decided to sit around in my boxers and play some guitar for awhile. After a couple hours of that my mom came in. "You have about an hour to get ready. Please get ready now," She said trying to be patient. When I made no motion to get up. She yelled. "NOW!"
I looked up to see a vain popping out of her head and jumped up immediately. She walked out of the room with a triumphant smirk on her face as I started pulling on my dress pants. After about half an hour, I was sitting in the living room listening to her lecture me on things not to do. I chuckled and walked out with her and my dad. They told me they were going to let me drive myself to school, and that they'd be there to see me when it started at seven. I went to get some flowers and headed over to Madi's house. I walked up to her door with a bouquet of mixed flowers. She opened the door with a smile, she had her graduation robe hanging over her shoulder.
"Hey, I just finished getting ready," She smiled. I bit my lip as some dirty thoughts came to mind. She was in an amazing dress, it was purple, which was a plus for me. It looked amazing on her. She had black heels on, she had on the necklace and ring I gave her at Christmas, and was wearing small hoop earrings.
"You look beautiful," I told her with a warm smile. She smiled happily and hugged me. She kissed me softly before pulling away.
"You look very handsome yourself," She tilted her head to the side as we stood there for a moment. "We should get going," I sighed, wanting to stay like this forever. I nodded and she smiled as she grabbed her keys and locked the door behind her. "Can I leave my keys in your car?" I nodded and she smiled as she tucked them into the glove compartment. And after buckling up, we made our way to beginning of the rest of our lives.
