Promises Broken and Words Left Unspoken
Getting There
Brian's P.O.V
She inhaled deeply and looked up at me. She had a look of mixed emotions on her face and looked like she was fighting with herself on the inside. I bit my lip as she finally came to a decision. "I...I don...don't know. So for right now...can we just work on being...friends?" she asked wording it carefully. I nodded in understanding. Unfortunately for me...saying all the things I said...and then with everything that's happened...I don't know...I think I should be happy that she didn't just laugh in my face and say, 'Good one, Brian.'
She looked down at her toes before looking back up. "Can I have my dress and my shoes please? Now that I'm sober...I remember where dad hides the extra key," I nodded and walked over to where I put her shoes and dress and handed both to her. She slipped the shoes back on and then walked towards the door. "See you around Brian. Thanks again," she spoke softly and then looked up. Our eyes locked for a moment and then she looked away and walked out the door. She walked out and walked down the street and across to her house. She played around with something near her door before unlocking it and walking in. I watched as Tyler's car pulled up and she answered the door and she turned bright red. Probably because he sees her in my shirt and boxers.
I chuckled before calling up the guys saying I was feeling better and that I was done with Amy...well I would be in a few minutes anyways. I walked over knocked on her door as I found myself sneaking a glance across the street and through Madi's window. She smiled and talked to Tyler animatedly. He just laughed and nodded before hugging her tight. When Amy finally did answer the door, I felt somewhat relieved with what I was about to do.
"We need to talk," Cliché I know. But I needed to get this done. She frowned slightly but nodded. She let me in and we walked into her living room. "I can't do this anymore. I knew you were a bitch, but that was too low."
"What are you talking about?" She asked, her voice feigning innocence as her eyes went cold.
"I've known Madi for too long to be okay with the fact that you did that to her on a day she was already going through some tough things."
"Brian, being drunk probably helped her. Not having to think about everything that's happened," She tried to reason, but I could tell she was being snobby.
"You had no right to make that decision. She was one of my best friends, and I missed her like hell when she left. And your actions may have fucked up the only chance I had of somehow getting that back." I stated with a glare.
She glared angrily. "She is a bitch. And you're going to be sorry you ever did this to me. And just wait, she's never going to let you close again," She sneered. Her statement digging deep. I stood up and walked towards the door. I let myself out and headed back towards my house. "You'll be sorry you did this, Brian. Mark my words," She screamed at my back.
I made it back to my house and walked up to my room. I grabbed my guitar and stuff and threw it in my car...gently. I headed over to Matt's for practice.
