03- New Job
"Rainne! Get your ass out of bed!" Zacky yelled while shaking me.
"Fuck off," I mumbled back and rolled over.
"Rainne, get your ass up or I WILL tell Matt you're in love with him. That you have been since highschool." He threatened.
"I'm up! I'm up!" I put my hands up in surrender. "Fucking dick,"
"That's what brothers are for, am I right?"
"Sure, we'll go with that." I started walking to the bathroom, only to see the door closed and the light on. I knocked on it. "Is anybody in there?"
"Yeah, one sec!" I heard Matt yell through the door.
"Okie!" I chirped and skipped down stairs, Zacky was sitting at the table eating Cheerios. "You sir, are lucky I'm not killing you right now,"
"Why is that?" He asked through a mouthful of cereal.
"Cause you-know-who is still here. He could have heard you!" I threw my arms up, in a unneeded fashion.
"Oh, boo-hoo, that would have done you a favor."
"Yeah sure," I started pouring myself a bowl of cereal.
"Morning guys," Matt said, walking into the kitchen.
"Finally! You're out of the bathroom!" I exclaimed and ran up to take a shower.
20 minutes in the shower and I feel refreshed. I walked out of the bathroom and ran into somebody, I looked up to see Matt.
"Well, hey there Rainne," he joked.
"I'm sorry, I blushed and ran to my room, closing and locking the door.
I dried off and started to get dressed. Black skinny jeans, a Shinedown shirt, black high-top converse, and a little jacket.
I put on my makeup, changed out my jewelry and made my way down to the kitchen.
"You ready to go, kid?" Zacky asked as I appeared into the kitchen.
"Yeah, lets go!" I chirped and we walked out the door.
The first couple minutes to the tattoo shop were quiet, that is until Zacky spoke up.
"You know, Matt really wants you to get this job."
"Why is that?" I asked.
"He wants that spot on his arm to have a tattoo by you, he told me last night after you went to bed."
"Oh," I was shocked.
The rest of the ride to the tattoo parlor was silent.
We got there and walked in.
"Zacky! Rainne! How are you guys?!" Ben, the manager, exclaimed.
"We're good, just came to ask you something." Zacky replied.
"And what is it that you would like o ask me?" Ben asked.
"Well, Rainne here is an amazing artist. The band and I were hoping you could give her a job here," Zacky explained.
"I could probably do that. You got any work to show me?" Ben asked me.
"I could draw something up. Quite quickly actually." I responded.
"Follow me you two," Ben motioned us to the back where there was a drawing table. "Show me what you got, kid."
I sat down at the desk and picked up a pencil an started drawing. I started out with just a circle, added some lines, details, and ended up with a dragons head 10 minutes later.
"Done," I said, puttin the pencil down.
"Damn girl, that's impressive. You've got the job. Come in Monday at eight AM and I'll get you all set up." Ben told me.
"Sweet!" I jumped up an down excitedly.
"You hungry?" Zacky asked after we left the building.
"When am I not hungry?" I replied.
"That mean you want some food?"
"Yes, it does," I laughed.
