7 - Down To The Devil's Show
Third Person's POV
"What?" Brian asked, stunned by the news Arianna just told him. Both of them are so engaged in this news that they didn't see Michelle staring at them with a wicked smile on her face. She knew that the plan is moving along well. She soon left the building after seeing the dissatisfaction on their faces before dialing the mysterious man, telling him good job.
"Not just Aidan, but Zacky too." She sobbed as Brian struggles with the fact that his brother-in-law/best friends and his son is missing.
"JAMES." He shouted across the house, loud enough to have the startled cops to come towards him.
"My son and Zacky's missing." He told them. He is as worry as fuck.
"Do you know what had happened to them?" He asked the couple.
Arianna slowly replied to him.
"My mom just called me saying they were gone. She said they went to walk around the park or something. Zacky promised to be back in 30 minutes but it's 2 hours and none of them are back. She also tried dialing his phone number but no reply."
"Well, they might just be somewhere where the reception is low."
Arianna nodded, however , Brian was upset.
He walked towards his friend and grabbed his collar.
"What if they are dead, what if?" He asked as he struggles with his emotion. He felt anger, saddness, worriness all throughout his body.
"I....i...." The cop said before the laptop in the living room made a sound.
"Brian, let go of him. It seemed like an incoming message."
Brian obeyed his wife's request and walked into the living room. He opened up the laptop and check it's email.
He was scanning through everything before he found a new email from an anonymous sender with an attached video. A video.
He opened up the video which clearly show a beaten Zacky and a masked person holding a sleeping Aidan.
"Hey darlings. It's nice to see you all again but this time, I got two presents. If you want them back, you must find them. If you enlisted the police's help, I will kill them." The mysterious man wickedly laughed.
"Put a bullet through his head," he said, pulling out a handgun and jammed it towards Zacky's temple. Both of them can clearly see that Zacky, even in his half-conscience state is struggling.
"No, please don't" Arianna begged, but it's only a video.
To their relief, the man put his handgun back into his holster where he pulled out a little handkerchief,
"Or cover his tiny little mouth and nose and kill him." He said as he put the fabric on top of Aidan's head.
"NO." Brian said. The video continued to show to see that the man had removed the fabric and place the baby back down.
"If you want them back, i suggest you to find them by yourselves. If those fucking cops help, i will kill them instantly. These guys are hidden somewhere unknown but no worries, being such a great person, i will leave some hints for you. By the way, just so you know, you got limited time left because I forgot to leave some food for them. Here is your first clue...." The man said, pulling out a picture of Brian's father.
"I will contact you whenever i want and however I want. I am your fucking Nightmare." The man said before the tape ended.
Arianna and Brian both turned towards each other as they acknowlege the fact that their love ones are indeed missing and they must rescue them without the help of James and Jamie. They knew that they got limited time left before they found their bodies. Though each of them are struggling with their anger and saddness, they attempted their best to stay on track and play the psycho's little game.
"We can't use your help James." Brian said to his friend who protested against the self-mission. However, the issue was resolved as Brian told him that he will be used as back-up.
While Brian is dealing with the cops, Arianna called the guys, telling each of them the current situation. Within half an hour, they all showed up at their house, planning their rescues of the hostages.
But first, they must identify the location.
"Why on Earth would the psycho showed a picture of your dad?" Jimmy asked as he replayed the video many times.
"I guess it must have something to do with him. Can it be his house though?" Johnny said.
"It can't be because Dad is somewhere across the world right now so whenever he comes home, his house is here. Clearly, the baby isn't here." Brian replied, eliminating their house as a place for the hostages.
"Does he owns any other properties?" Valerie asked.
"I am actually not sure. Maybe James can help us with this." Brian said before calling his friend who he used as back-up. Minutes later, he was able to track down Brian's father's information. To his surprise, one of the location enlisted as his properties, matched.
A Cottage?
"I thought dad sold the cottage ages ago." Brian told the guys before turning to Arianna. "Do you think they are there?"
"Well it is somwhere far, I mean this place is like a 2 hours drive from here."
"Should we go or not? If we go and find nothing, we will be just wasting our time. Time is as crucial as it can gets. They got no food or water." Matt told the guys.
Bzz bzz.... Arianna's phone began to vibrate. A message.
As Arianna began to read her message, she realized that this is another clue.
"Hey guys, look." She said as she showed them some trees on her iPhone.
"IT is!" Brian said as he stood up, preparing to leave to find his missing son and best friend. The remaining of the crew in the living room looked at him.
"Why is that?" Arianna questioned her husband.
"Because this is the kind of tree I saw around dad's cottage if i don't remember wrong. We should check. Please."
They all nodded at Brian's request. However, none of them are sure of what will happen and rather if their hostages are there or not....
