'1, 2, I'm Coming For You..'
The drive was filled with loud music and even louder singing, fast food and fast driving, Sally and I forced Matt to stop at Starbucks so we could get hot chocolate once… maybe twice. There was one walky talky in Matt’s car and one in Jimmy’s truck so we could all talk together the whole way there which was entertaining because when Jimmy, Zacky and Brian got too annoying we could turn them off for a change.
“We’re here!” I hear Jimmy scream from behind the SUV and then his door slamming before he opened my door and dragged me from the car, throwing me over his shoulder and running into the rather large cabin with me while everyone else got the bags and followed us inside laughing.
“Alright, alcohol!” Brian cheered from the kitchen before running back through with his arms full of alcoholic beverages for everybody.
“Drinking games!” Zacky demanded, sitting on the floor “First one, I’ve never,” Everyone agreed to play and we all plopped ourselves on the floor in a circle beside Zacky and since it was his idea, he went first.
“I’ve never stolen money from someone,” Sally and I both lifted our beers to our lips and we got looks from the guys as if to say ‘what the fuck?’
“Oh don’t look at me like that, it was a week before pay day, City of Evil had just came out and my mom wouldn’t loan me any money, so I borrowed it…” I shrugged and the guys all ‘hell yeah’d’ and we listened to Sally’s excuse about not having gas money and going away with friends for the weekend where she was the designated driver.
“I’ve never made out with a girl,” Sally said as we moved around the circle taking turns.
“We’re changing that,” Johnny said bluntly “Now,” He demanded, looking between the two of us, his eyebrows raised, I admitted to having kissed my fair share of girls and looked at Matt for approval when Sally said she was up for it.
“Babe, I have no problem with you making out with a girl,” He smirked, taking a drink of his beer and watching us closely.
Sally was sitting directly across the circle from me with a smirk on her lips, the guys were all holding their breath, I don’t think they noticed, but I did. I got onto my hands and knees and crawled into the middle of the circle, as did Sal, meeting me half way, our lips inches from each others, we inched a little closer and our lips touched, a moment later our lips parted and our tongues slid into each other’s mouths and all the guys grunted a little. We kissed for another minute before pulling away and sitting back in our spaces despite the guys protests.
I woke up with a gasp and sat upright in the bed I was sharing with Matt, I hated having bad dreams and the one I just had was horrible, but I had already forgotten the details. I looked at the clock beside me and the red numbers flashed 3.30 am, I sighed and climbed out of bed and walked to the kitchen in search of a drink of ice cold water.
The fridge in this place was one of those fancy ones, y’know, that had the water and ice dispenser? I grabbed a glass and made use of the front of the fridge, making myself the ice cold beverage I was craving. I stood at the sink, looking out of the window and off into the distance, I thought I saw something standing beside one of the trees out back, I looked closer but as the wind blew it was gone. I shrugged it off as just my imagination, finished my drink and put my glass in the sink. A loud thump from the window above the sink caused me to look up, thinking maybe a bird had flown into it or something but I couldn’t have been more wrong. There was a ripped off piece of paper with something scribbled on it, stuck to the window with blood.
‘1, 2, I’m coming for you…’ was scribbled on the paper, my eyes went as wide as saucers and I backed against the island away from the sink before sliding to the floor screaming.
