As Jess and Matt stood in my room awkwardly, I sat down on my bed and leaned against the headboard. I just watched the two. They stood far away from each other and looked down. Matt stood over by my closet and leaned against the wall. Jess stood near my bed and switched from foot to foot. It was silent for a few minutes until I spoke up, "So what do you guys want?"

Jess looked at Matt and then at me. "I wanted to apologize to you for hitting Matt in front of you. I should've waited until we were alone."

"No. You shouldn’t have done it at all." I scolded him. He looked down. I looked at Matt. "And you?"

"I wanted to apologize for hitting your brother back and for pushing you. I just didn’t want you to get hit-" Jess cut him off.

"I would never have hit Rebecca!"

"Jess. Shut up." I looked back at Matt. "It’s okay Matt. I know that you didn’t want me hit." I smiled a small smile at him. He smiled back and walked over to my bed. I took Matt's hand and pulled him down next to me. Matt wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. Then he rested his head on my shoulder. I looked back up at Jess, with a serious expression on my face. "Now. Like I said downstairs. Matt and I are engaged. And you can’t say anything about it. He wants to help me, so I’m going to let him." Jess looked down.

"I feel like I’m losing you Becca." He mumbled. I grabbed his hand and pulled him down next to me too.

"You're not losing me Jess. I’m happy. You should be happy for me." I said to him. Jess looked up at me.

"I am happy for you. I just don’t want to see you get hurt."

"I know you don’t. But I’m going to have to grow up. I can’t be little to you anymore. You have to see me as a big girl who can ride a bike with no training wheels." He chuckled at that and I smiled.

"I'll always see you as a little girl. No matter what." I leaned over and hugged him tightly. He hugged me back.

"I love you Jess." I said as a few tears escaped my eyes.

"I love you too Rebecca." I pulled away from him and wiped my eyes. Then I looked at Matt. I smiled at him and pecked his lips with mine.

"Now are you not going to hurt him anymore? Cause if we're getting married, I'd kind of like to have more than one kid." They both chuckled at that.

"Yeah. I won’t hurt him anymore. He's an okay guy. But if he hurts you, then I’m going to hurt him."

"That’s fine with me." I smiled and decided to lay down on my bed. I put my feet on one side of Jess and lay down. Matt lay down beside me and Jess got up off the bed.

"Hey. Where do you think you're going?"

"I was going to leave you two alone to yourselves."

"No. Get back over here. I want my two protectors with me. If it’s okay with Matt?" I turned my head to look at him.

"It’s fine with me." He smiled, showing his dimples that I loved. I smiled back and looked back at Jess.

"Get your white ass over here. Now mister." Jess chuckled and walked back over to the bed. I scooted back into the middle more and Jess laid down on my other side. We were like a sandwich. Matt on my left, me in the middle and Jess on my right. Matt wrapped one arm around my waist and Jess held my right hand. I smiled and fell asleep in the best place in the world. With the three people who mean the most to me. My loving, overprotective, stubborn brother; my loving, rockstar, stubborn fiancé; and my small, loving, adorable baby inside my stomach. I was a very happy girl. I was invincible with these people with me.
