Zacky got into the Army dead easy. He did his training and is currently awaiting deployment to Afghanistan. His partner, Annaliese Ramirez, is carrying their child, safely hidden in Arizona, able to move about freely... for now.

Johnny is currently in France with Madeleine, living in the French Alps, where he started a new life as a forest ranger, eventually buying a farm that him and Madeleine bred cows and sheep on, contracting out with the abbatoirs, leaving them wealthy people. Madeleine found out about what happened in Texas, and while difficult, readily forgave Johnny, making him swear that he will never try to get in contact with Matt or Syn again.

Raylan Givens was promoted to Art Mullen's position as Head of the Texas Branch of the FBI after Art had a heart attack, prompting him to retire. Both men received the Medal of Valor in secret. Raylan serves as Dusty's main point of contact with counter-insurgency operations in the United States.

Matt and Syn are still hunted by the US authorities. They were last sighted in Switzerland. They are believed to be responsible for a string of armoured car robberies that hit the city of Zurich.

Dusty's whereabouts are currently unknown, but it is believed he is in secret contact with Zacky.
