7-The Thinning of Life
Third Person's POV
Immediately after the phone call, the guys of Avenged Sevenfold hurriedly arrived at the hospital where Alexandria is. They all wear a worried look on their faces waiting for the surgery to finish. Minutes before, the doctor came out and inform them that the situation is looking ugly and they should prepare if Alexandria to be six feet under.
Hearing the news kills their spirit, but inside of Zacky's heart, it is already shattered in millions of pieces. Seeing the woman he loved dearly on the edge, between life and death, is killing him. Even though no one said a word during their waiting time, they each, silently, prayed to God that she will survive the horrific crash.
Jeremy Brennan's POV
After hearing the news about Alexandria, i hurried out of the airport and took the first cab out. I don't even give a shit if there was a family waiting for it. My sister is dying.
The minute the taxi touched down at the hospital, i sprint to the receptionist and ask her about Alexandria. While running, i earned weird-ass glares at me, probably because i was dragging my suitcase running like a madmen.
The nurse told me to wait as my sister is now in the progress of a surgery where they are removing blood from her head. She then directed to where a group of guys are. I guess they are the rock band and one of them should be her boyfriend, Zacky.
I walked towards them when a man with green eyes and lip piercing turned around.
"Sir, are you Alexandria's brother?" He asked. The concern in his eyes cannot lie.
"Yes and you are Zacky right?"
"Yeah. These are Alexandria's friend and my band members."
"I am Jeremy by the way." I said, shaking each of their extended hand.
"How's Alexandria doing now?"
"She's been in surgery for a couple of hours. I heard something about fatal head trauma." He sighed. He looked down as if he knew something that he couldn't tell me.
"and...?"
He exhaled again before look at me, "Alexandria might not make it through tonight. The doctor came out an hour ago informed us that her situation is going downhill and we saw nurses constantly running in and out of the room holding blood bags."
I didn't say anything. This is killing me. My sister might die?
"Do you know what happened?"
"The policeman told me that some fucker were drunk-driving and it rammed her car in a cross intersection."
I can feel a tear of anger, sadness going down my face. What am i going to do if Alexandria doesn't wake up? She's been my little baby for years.
"thanks, man."
Third Person's POV
12:41 a.m
The doctor finally came out of the operation theater in which he was immediately swarmed by a group of 6 guys. The doctor figured the man with the same brown eyes, tall figure and brown hair to be the patient's brother.
"Who here is the relative of Alexandria Brennan?"
The doctor was right. "I am, she's my little sister. How's she?"
Before the doctor was able to answer, Zacky interrupted.
"I am her boyfriend."
"And these are..." pointing at the remaining four.
"Her best friends." Zacky said.
"Alright. Well Alexandria is fine now. The surgery was a successful as we are able to remove and stop the bleeding in the brain. However, she sustained some fatal head trauma from the crash. She is very lucky since she could've die with the damage she endured. "
"Is she awake yet?"
"No. We put her in a coma right now so she can get some rest and recuperate herself. But there might still be a chance where she might not wake up and become comatose."
Upon hearing the news that she is alive, all of them are happy but hearing that she might not wake up, it puts them back on the bottom again.
"If she wake up, will there be any side-effects?" Jeremy asked.
"Depends. Sometimes patient can be perfectly fine, some other time, the patient will lose the functions of their limbs."
"When can we see her?" Zacky questioned.
"I think tomorrow morning would be a great time. She need some rest and she will be the ICU. Boys, you should go home and rest. You all have been here the entire afternoon."
After the doctor have left, they were able to see a pale, death-like Alexandria being wheeled out to the ICU. Seeing her alive made Jeremy and Zacky relaxed, but seeing her with all these machine attached to her breaks their heart.
The guys soon returned to their own homes as Zacky drives Jeremy to Alexandria' condo.
Though each of them are exhausted to their bones, they couldn't sleep. They are all worried and upset of what's happening to her.
The next day started with each of them arriving at the hospital at 9 am. The doctor permitted them to visit Alexandria. Once they went into the room, they can see that she is attached with all these crazy machines. One of them is monitoring her heartbeats, the other were ones that support her breathing while some other ones were monitoring her stress level of her brain.
They can see that today she looked better. Some of her cuts around her limbs and forehead had begin to heal.
They did their visiting and soon it was time to go home. On the way out, Jeremy spoke to Zacky.
"What if Alexandria never wake up?" He asked, almost crying. He usually isn't a man of emotion but seeing her almost dead made him sad.
He pat the older man in the back. "Don't say that. Alexandria is a strong woman. She could've died, but look at her, she is alive and she will soon wake up."

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.
It is now 2:45a.m and finally the sleep has kicked in for Jeremy. Unfortunately, minutes after his sleep, the phone rang. He picked up, revealing a young lady's voice.
"Is this Jeremy Brennan?"
"Yep." He said in his sleepy 'You just woke me up' voice. "Who's this?" He yawned.
"This is Grand Central Hospital calling, your sister just woke up."
"Alright, i will be there." He instantly got up from his bed, prepared himself and called Zacky telling him to pick him up since he doens't have a car.
The two of them arrived as fast as they can. They were allowed in to meet Alexandria.
The minute Jeremy saw her, he dashed to one of her sides and grabbed her hand as he is afraid he will hurt her if he hug her. Zacky followed afterwards.
"X, you scared the shit out of me." At this point, Jeremy started tearing up.
"J, i am fine, and this is ....?" she pointed at Zacky.
Zacky's face instantly dropped. She had forgotten about him.
"That's Zacky, your boyfriend."
One word can describe Zacky, devastated.
