Zacky's POV

"I said, and I repeat, I DIDN'T PUSHED MY GIRLFRIEND DOWN THE FREAKING STAIRS." I told the detectives for the millionth time. At this point, I am feeling furious at their accusation. Why would I push Alexandria down the stairs.

"Sir, I would like you to calm down" The older officer said.

"Calm down," I paused, getting up from my seat of three hours, " I can't calm down when you all are constantly accusing me of trying to murder my girlfriend. I didn't push her down the stairs, and never will." I said.

"Sir, please sit back down and relax." The officer paused before talking again after I took my seat. "We do have a witness named Melissa at the scene of crime, she indicated that you have pushed Ms.Brennan down the stairs after a fight started between you too, is that true?"

I sighed for the millionth time. How many fucking time do I have to explain to these shitheads before I get released so I can visit Alexandria at the hospital. I tried asking them about her condition, only was told that she is doing fine and I shouldn't be worried.

"No no no no no no...." I trailed off. "Are you kidding me, officers? Melissa was drunk off her face when she was at my house, plus she was the start of the problem between Alexandria and I. Obviously, she's got something to say."

"Sir, does this mean, you do admit that you pushed Ms.Brennan down the stairs?" The younger detective asked.

"No and never and never and never. How many times do I need to tell you she lost her balance...." I asked the officers who remained silence.

"Anyway, so can I see Alexandria now?" I asked, impatiently. I am worried about her condition.

"N.." The older officer was about to finish his sentence when his phone began to ring.

"Hello? Yes. That's great....Alright....Really?.....Okay.... Be there in a few.... Bye." He told the person across the line before turning to me.

"Sir, you are coming with me to the hospital. Ms. Brennan is awake." I jumped off my seat immediately and followed the cop.

Prior to walking into the hospital, detective told me that if Alexandria told opposite of my story, I will be arrested and spend my ass in a jailcell.

Once I walked into the hospital, I saw the sleeping form of the still-beautiful Arianna. God, she looked peaceful sleeping. I smiled to myself, remembering all the good times with her and her angelic form next to me when I wake up. However, i frowned when I caught something. She had a cast on her left leg and some cuts of her arms, as well as a bandaged head.

Alexandria's POV

Fuck.

Fuck.

Motherfucker.

My head hurts.

I woke up from my sleep, only to reveal myself in an enviroment I disliked, the hospital. Why am I here again?

Oh that's right. I lost my balance and fall down the stairs.

I can feel the soring headache on my head and some pain on my leg. Fuck. I broke my left leg again. The last time I did was during rugby season in senior high when some girl tackled me inproperly.

The doctor then walked into my room and do his routine check up and called the detectives. Why in the world are they calling the detectives? And where's Zacky?

While waiting for them both to come, i guess sleep took over me.

" "Are you sure?" Zacky asked me, holding my hands.

"Why not? Meeting your mom will be wonderful, and plus, she invited me, so why not?" I looked at his green eyes with a smile. Zacky's mom wanted to meet me so badly and I want to meet her too, the mother of the handsome boyfriend of mine.

"Okayy." He pulled me into a kiss.

Few days later, we went to Zacky's mom's house. She is just like her son, with green eyes and brown/blackish hair. She is one sweet, generous lady. I had such fun with her and Zacky and she gave me a feeling just like motherly figure would. Growing up, my mother will treat me and Jeremy like shit. Beating us and starving us based on her heavy drug addiction.


We spend the next few hours talking about embarassing stories about Zacky's childhood. We laughed so much at Zacky that his face is as red as the reddest apple on earth.

"Oh, and there was this one time, it was Easter and Zack was four. So one day, i guess he saw one of those easter chocolate bunny poster advertisement on tele and when he went home, he went outdoor to the mud and rolled himself around it. At this time, I was doing laudry and Zacky walked in, actually, hopped in, just like a rabbit and asking mama for his eggs." She said, laughing hysterically.

Zacky too, was laughing. "Mom." He said.

"Sorry son, but you were adorable."

We spend a couple more hours with her before we had to leave for work tomorrow. While Zacky was getting into the car, his mom pulled me into a hug and whispered against my ear.

"Darling, you are wonderful. I am glad Zacky has you as a girlfriend. I want to see you soon." She smiled at me once she let go. I returned the smile and waved my goodbyes."


"Alexandria," the doctor called my name and my eyes began to open. Opening my eyes, i saw the figure of a middle-aged man, whom i believe to be a detective and next to him is...Zacky with handcuffs around his wrist.

What the fuck did he do?

"Why are you arrested?" I questioned Zacky who was staring at me with an expression that said, "help me".

"Ms. Brennan, I am Officer Jeffrey with the California Police Department. Mr. Baker is arrested for the attempted murder of you. We would like to ask you a few question for our investigation. Is it true that Mr.Baker pushed you down the stairs after an argument stirred up between you?"

I looked at him shocked. He actually thinks Zacky tried to kill me.

I blinked my eyes a couple of times before answering him. "No sir. Zacky didn't dare to lay hands on me. I lost my balance while going down the stairs. Now, let my boyfriend go."

"Ms, if you are afraid of Mr.Baker for what he might've done to you, please don't be afraid to speak up. We can help you. I promised." The officer again, tried to tell me that Zacky is not innocent.

I can feel myself getting a little angry and I guess, I snapped.

"Are you freaking kidding me? I told you once that he didn't do anything to me and I lost my balance and fell down the stairs. That's it. There's no true about Zacky attempting to murder me. Are you nuts? If Zacky were to kill me, I would never believe in this. He is the only person that stood by my side 24/7 when an accident happened to me and I can tell by everything he does to me, that he loves me. So why would he tried to kill me? This man is nothing but wonderful and sweet and you should release him from his handcuff now or I will tell your boss."

The doctor, Zacky and the detective's expression was stunned at my angered manner. I had no mean to snapped but I guess protecting my man is more important than these pricks that are trying to put him behind the bars.

"I apologized Ms Brennan and Mr.Baker." The officer told us and freed Zacky from those cuffs. Immediately, he ran towards me and hug me as the doctor and officers left the room.

"Darling, I am so sorry." he whispered against my ear.

"Don't be. It's not your fault at all. Don't worry about it." I told him.

He nodded and looked at me with his piercing green eyes.

"Please also believe that Mel and I are not together. We only went on that one date. ONLY One and no more."

"I believed you. Sorry I didn't before."

He laughed. "I always have shit with the police. Thanks for standing up for me."

I smiled, "No problem. Um...." I paused.

"What's happening?" He questioned me.

I looked him straight into the eye. I need to tell him about this.

"Zacky, i need to tell you something."

"Shoot."

"I...." I sighed. Fuck it. "I... I remembered everything. From start to bottom."

Sorry for the late and shitty update. Yesterday, i updated this story with a more well-written chapter. However, there were some difficulties with the uploading process and it was not uploaded, so i had to do it again.

I apologized for the crap grammars and stuff but I tried my best to finish this in the limited time I have as my homework is kicking my ass.
