17 - Feel This Weight Of Sin
Third Person's POV
"That's amazing!" Zacky smiled at Alexandria and vice versa. However, her smile immediately turned into a frown.
"What's wrong, X?" He asked at the woman in his arm.
Alexandria sighed. She knew that even though she remembered something, it is only a bit of all the things that she forgot. She wanted to remember more. She doesn't want to deceive Zacky.
She looked down at her hand and remained silent. She felt so bad and upset. Finally, after a minute of silent, she looked up at her boyfriend's green eyes and sighed.
"I.. i felt so useless. I only remember this much and nothing more. I wanted to remember more than this..."
Zacky began to laugh. "Dear oh dear, that's it? Hey, listen." He grabbed her hands. "Don't worry about remember things. They will come back. At least you remembered something about us, right? Something is better than nothing at all, so don't be sad." He kissed her forehead. "In fact, I am sooooo proud of you."
Alexandria looked at him and her frown turned into a smile. A smile that Zacky loves.
"Thank you so much."
"No need. I love you."
"Love you too."
The rest of the evening, the couple spent their time cuddling in the couch watching movie. Everything was doing well until the doorbell rang.
"I will get it." Zacky told Alexandria and reluctanly let go of her in their embrace.
He approached the door and once he pulled the door knob open, a very drunk Melissa appeared.
She immediately jumped into the arms of a confused Zacky and murmured through her drunkness.
"Zacky, I missed you soooo fucking much. You said you are going to call me..." She said while Zacky tried to push her off him.
"I never said that. Get off me woman." He shouted. Alexandria got off her seat on the couch and approached to the scene happening in front of their front door.
"Zacky, we fucked before and I am your girlfriend. What is she..." She pointed at Alexandria before continuing speaking, "doing here? You should be at ...my...my house where we will be...be....making love." She then pulled Zacky into a kiss where Zacky broke off immediately.
Alexandria stood there in silence. So Zacky was dating Melissa? She felt her eyes watering up more each minute she stood there. Seeing Zacky lying to her while secretly dating another woman is unexceptable.
"I ... I can't believe in you." She ran upstairs. Right behind her followed Zacky who kept telling her, "it's not true. She's fucking lying." or "please let me talk."
Once Alexandria got to her bedroom, she began shoving clothes and everyday needs down a duffel bag. She just wanted to leave this house as soon as possible. She didn't care where she end up, rather it is the hotel or the guy's house. She just doens't want to see Zacky right now.
"Alexandria, stop. Please." Zacky stood next to her, attempting to stop her from packing.
She ignored him while silent tears were rolling down her cheeks. She didn't bother wiping them off because she knew more will fall. She thought about how stupid was her to believe in him. He made her feel like a fucking princess and now he dumped her.
She moved to her cabinet where she kept her money. She pulled open the drawer when Zacky decided to shove it close. Lucky, her finger was inches away from the opened drawer, avoiding it getting clipped.
"Alexandria, don't leave. Please." She moved away from him, still ignoring his eyes.
She went back to packing her stuff and when she is finally done, she zipped up her bag and began walking towards the stair.
"X, we didn't have sex. The only time I was with her was that date. I swear my life on it. I am not lying. Please believe in me. Please." Zacky begged his leaving girlfriend. He didn't want to lose her again after all that had happened.
Alexandria still ignored him and began walk down the stairs when Zacky grabbed one of her arms. She violently tried to push his strong arm off her weaker one when she lost her balance.
Minutes later, the ambulance arrived at Alexandria's house. Seeing Alexandria being wheeled out after rolling off the stairs made Zacky feels like shit. He hurt her. He should feel ashamed even though he never meant it.
He never meant to knock her over on the steps. Now she is lying in a hospital bed unconcious.
He slide down the wall near the stairs. He began to silently cry until a man's shoe stopped right in front of his eyes.
He looked up with his puffy green eyes,
"sir, Are you Mr.Baker?"
"Y..yes?"
The policeman then grabbed Zacky's hand and put a handcuff over it.
"You are arrested for attempted murder and break in into Alexandria Brennan's house. Anything you say or do will be used as evidence against you on court. You can remain silence or cooperate with us."
