“Did I miss it?!” I asked as I ran into the room I’d been told to go to by the receptionist, I took in my surroundings and there was Emmet, sitting in the chair holding a tiny little girl, as Rosie slept in the bed “Oh my gosh…” I breathed as I walked over to my brother and Niece “She’s beautiful,”
“I know, she looks like Rosie and Ava, doesn’t she?” I nodded and she opened her eyes “Oh Em, she has your eyes though,” He handed me the new born and I smiled down at her.
“Alice, meet your auntie Charlie,” Emmet said to his daughter and she reached out a tiny, wrinkled pink hand out of her blanket and gripped my pinky and I couldn’t hold back the tears.
4 months later~~~
We’ve been on tour for two months already, it’s one month until Harvey turns 1 and I refused to have his first birthday party on a bus but I wasn’t thinking about that tonight, Val and I were getting ready in her and Matt’s hotel room while the Berry twins were watching Harvey in the room Jimmy and I were staying in while the rest of us went out to a club for the night.
“Put it down to the guys to pick a night where it’s pouring outside to wanna walk around and find this club,” Val sighed as she looked out of the window as I clipped a necklace around my neck.
“It’s the guys, they’ll either pussy out about their hair and stay in the hotel or call for a few cabs, one or the other, we won’t be walking, don’t worry,”
I had been right, they called cabs and we went to the club that way because Brian didn’t want to mess up his hair like the complete drama queen that he is. I swear, that man cares more about his appearance than Val and I do about ours put together.
“Can I have everyone’s attention please?” Matt called out, standing up and getting all of our attention inside the V.I.P booth “I just want to say a few things, you are all my best fucking friend’s, we’re finally doing what we love, making music and touring the world and since things already didn’t go to plan with a surprise baby right out of high school and an engagement along with that, I thought to hell with waiting for anything else to happen,” He turned to Val and got onto one knee before her as she sat on the sofa and covered her mouth with both of her delicate little hands “Valarie?” She nodded furiously as tears started to roll down her face, I leaned into Jimmy’s side and smiled as I started to cry too “I love you more than anything in this world, and I want to do this now, before our best friends, will you marry me?” He pulled out a ring from his pocket and showed it to her, she gaped at him, it was the same size as mine.
“Yes!” She screamed and threw herself onto him and sent them both flying to the floor.
“Don’t get married before me!” I teased, I didn’t care when they got married, as long as they did it.
“Fuck that, I’m getting married when we hit Vegas!” She screamed and ran at me, tackling me to the floor too before we started to gush over the ring and the guys all hugged and congratulated Matt.
