After I took a shower, got dressed, and fed Jaeger, me and Chase were walking to the court house.
"You excited?" Chase asked me, he must have noticed me messing around with my necklace, nervous habit of mine(literally, I actually do that irl).
"Yes and no. I'm freaking nervous." I stated.
"I am too, Dickens told me that I used to live with our dad. Them mom got pregnant with you and she ran away."
"Why did she do that? I've had a real dad and I never knew!"
"It's alright, May, were going to meet him. I bet he feels awful even though it's not his fault,"
"It's just nerve racking, ya know?" I asked, trying to calm my breathing. I'm more than just very nervous. I'm extremely nervous.
"I understand." He said as we arrived at the steps. "You ready?"
I took a deep breath, grabbing onto his arm, "yeah," and we walked in.
"Hello, how can I help you two?" A blonde lady asked as we walked in.
"Were here for Detective Dade." Chase stated.
"Oh, let me tell him. You guys can take a seat while I do so." She td us and scurried off.
We went to sit down, and five minutes later, she was back at her desk and we were following Dade to a conference room where our dad was.
"Alright. Before we go in, I want to tell you guys about him a bit." Dade started. "He is a famous guitarist, a band called Avenged Sevenfold."
"You serious?" I asked, shocked. I'm related to either Zacky or Synyster...
"He's got a friend and his friends kid in there too."
"Alright, let's go," I said, wanting to meet my dad.
"Alright." Dade opened the door. In there was Zacky Vengeace, M. shadows, and his kid River.
-Zacky's POV-
The door opened and Detective Dade walked in, followed by Chase, and his sister, Dustin. She was almost a spitting image of me.
"Mr. Baker, Mr. Sanders, this is Chase and Dustin." Dade stated and then walked out.
"Hey, kids." Matt said after a while, I was stunned.
"Hi," Dustin said shyly.
"Hey," Chase responded.
"Are you guys my cousins?" River asked, causing us all the laugh lightly. Matt was going to respond, but Dustin started talking before him.
"Yes we are buddy!" She leaned down to pick him up. "I'm Dustin, you can call me Dusti or Dust."
"Dust?!" River exclaimed. "Like the stuff that gets all over the tv?"
"Kinda," she smiled, wincing at a little bit of pain. I wouldn't let that go unnoticed.
"So," I started, startling all three kids. "Dusti, when'd you get your snakebites?"
"Oh,uh, four days ago. Kinda painful at the moment." She informed me.
"I remember those times."
"Dude, when you got your snakebites, you acted like a baby! You kept complaining to me about the pain!" Matt exclaimed.
"Shut up!" I punched his arm.
"What? Can the great Zacky Vengeance not take a little joke?" Chase asked, clearly amused.
"Wait, you know about our band?" I asked.
"Of course! Even though our mom didn't like it when we listened to you gus, we still did," Dusti noted from the floor where she was playing with River.
"Oh," I sounded dumbfounded.
"Dust, you're the spitting image of Zack. Except for that blue eye." Matt pointed out.
"Thanks," she said shyly.
"How's it going in here?" Dade asked.
"Great! Do you think we could maybe go out for food?" I asked.
"Yeah, of course!" He replied.
"Where do you guys want to go?" I asked as we all walked out to Matts truck.
"Taco Bell!!" River yelled.
"That's my boy!" Dusti exclaimed excitedly. "Can we?"
"You alright with that Chase?" Matt askd him.
"Yeah, I swear, If she could, Dusti could live off of Taco Bell." Chase informed us.
"So could River, I don't know what started it," Matt thought outloud.
"Which car is yours?" Dusti asked, trying to hold River.
"The black truck," Matt told her, laughing at Rivers antics.
"Come on! Race ya to the car?" She said as she put River down on the ground, he nodded excitedly. "Chase! I need you as a ref!"
He ran over there. "Ready? One, two, three!" he lifted his arms up like gates and they ran off. I could tell Dusti was going go let Ruver win on purpose. Then, out if no where. Dusti tripped and fell, catching herself with her hands, which liked very painful.
"Oh my god!" She yelled, cradling her right hand. "That hurt like hell!"
"Dusti!" I ran over to her, kneeling down to look at her wrist. "Lemme see it," she shook her head, biting her lip. "Dusti, please?" She agreed and I looked at it.
"Be careful, dude, I'm now a broken child," she pouted a little.
"I think we should get you to the hospital, it could be broken," I stated, her eyes went wide. "What?"
"I the the hospital. The doctors. The dentist. Everything that has to do with health and white buildings." She said, wincing in pain.
"Well, I just want to make sure."
"Fine." She pouted.
