A Far Cry From Innocence
Summary
Some people in the world spend their entire lives following the code...the social code that has been in effect for thousands of years to try and maintain some sort of order. Wake up, go to work, pay the bills, sleep...eat. Never straying far from what society wants of them. Sure some break a few rules, get speeding tickets, find themselves floating around high from all the drugs they’ve pumped into their systems, even cheated on their taxes. But few stray so far away from societies norms that they’re feared and yet considered almost like Gods.
Such as the Sevenfold, the most notorious gang in all of California. The government and law enforcement tucked neatly in their back pockets. One thing that sets this particular gang from all the rest is the fact that they never kill the innocent. Only the ones who have had more than their fair share of warnings, more chances then they should have...people the government or cops can’t touch.
Sure they do some drug running, some arms dealing, and general havoc. But they own numerous legitimate businesses such as family restaurants, strip clubs, night clubs, a couple car dealerships, and clothing stores. Keeping it simple, the Sevenfold has their fingers in every pie imaginable and each turning a considerable profit, so much that the next eight generations of their lives could live without ever having to work. A lot of the thanks for this goes to the leader, Matt Sanders, also known as Shadows who are on the receiving end of his anger. Few attempt to over throw them, but it does occasionally happen.
Danielle Hanker is a twenty-four year old newly single woman living her life in Huntington Beach, California. She successfully owns and operates her own small bakery through the week, and parties hard on the weekends. Her bakery has been so successful that she could open more shops or simply sit back and relax and let her employee’s run the place but she enjoys being busy, having fun and baking.
When Matt and Danielle’s paths cross, the attraction sizzling around them, drawing them together like moths to flame their lives entwined from that moment on...
