The day was over and Brian and I were laying on the couch, I was comforting him. I warned Zacky I was probably going to cry a lot tonight.
“Matt what did we need to talk about?” I heard Val ask from the kitchen
“You. Why were you like that today?” He asked
“Like what?” She asked
“The necrophilia shit and talking about her losing her baby.” Matt said
“She kissed his dead body.” She said
“Val if I died would you kiss my dead body?” Matt asked
“Probably, but it’s different your my boyfriend.” She said
“And he was her best friend! Who is your best friend in the entire fucking world?” Matt asked
“Stephen Cartwright.” Val said
“Well imagine him dead and you finding his body in his bathroom. Okay now imagine having a bitch calling you a whore and a necrophiliac for kissing him.” He said
“It’s different.” She said
“How is it fucking different!” He yelled
“I’m not pregnant! I’m not a whore! And Stephen cares about me back! Jimmy was pitying her!” She yelled
“No he fucking wasn’t! If you truly knew us you would fucking know that Jimmy cared about her with his fucking life you selfish bitch!” Brian yelled still laying with me.
“You stay out of this cry baby.” Val said I felt Brian tense up.
“Val you are so lucky you are a fucking chick because if you were a dude you’d be fucked up.” Brian said
“Mattie are you going to let him talk to your girlfriend like that?” Val asked Matt “What girlfriend. Val I’m done, we’re over.” Matt said
“So get out of my house.” Zacky said holding the door open.
“Mattie! Baby what are you talking about?” Val asked
“We are done! Get out and leave us alone!” Matt yelled
Val huffed and ran out the door. I looked up at Zacky who had a few tears; I knew he was going to cry he was just going to hide it. I looked at matt and he looked devastated.
“Matt you didn’t have to do that.” I said
“I did too. I’ve been with her since eighth grade and I didn’t notice how she treated you until now. Does that make me a bad friend guys?” He asked looking at all of us.
Brian let me get up and I walked over and hugged my friend tightly. He squeezed back.
“Matt sweetie Brice can’t breathe.” I said
“I don’t care. Brice you’re such a good friend to me, I don’t deserve it.” He said kissing the top of my head.
“I don’t be a friend to anyone who doesn’t deserve it. See Val didn’t deserve you.” I said
“I can’t believe I was so blind to it all these years.” He said kissing my forehead. “Love is blinding.” Brian said quoting something Jimmy said a lot
“Do you remember what he told us?” Johnny asked “
I do.” Brian said
“‘If someday I’m not here, I just want you to know you’re my best buddy, more than everything.’ Is what he told Brian.” Johnny said
“‘You guys are my best friends and I’m having the best time in the fucking world. I’m a little too close to Johnny right now but that’s okay.’ Is the rest of it.” I said
“I’m going to try and sleep.” Brian said
“I’ll wake you up in the morning Hun.” I said hugging him.
He laid down on the couch and I covered him up and Zacky took my hand.
“Guys you can stay here and crash in the living room with Brian or the guest room.” He said to Johnny and Matt
“Guest room.” Johnny said
“I think he needs to be alone unless Brice is with him.” Matt said
“I agree.” Johnny said “You and being alone are the best things for him right now.” He added I smiled a bit.
“Why a smile?” Matt asked
“No one has ever needed me.” I said
“We all need you baby. Especially now.” Zacky said I nodded and the two boys walked up to the guest room.
“Let’s go to your room. By the way where’s your mom?” I asked

“She’ll be home in a few weeks.” He said

His mom was staying with him until she was on her feet again

“Where am I going to stay?” I asked
“Here You’re having my baby, you’re going to stay here.” He smiled I laid down in his bed and he laid next to me.
“So when did you steal my Baker hoodie?” He asked
“Like two or three years ago.” I smiled He kissed me and laid his hand on my tummy.
“When do you figure out if it’s a boy or a girl?” He asked
“Tomorrow.” I said
“Will you take Brian with you?” He asked
“Yeah.” I said He laid his head on my chest and fell asleep.
I played with his hair for a little bit before I fell asleep.
Jimmy and I were sitting on his couch, it was just us, about two months or a month and two weeks before Zacky told me he loved me and we started dating. I looked over a Jimmy and he was staring at me.
“What?” I asked
“You’re just so pretty Brice.” He said I blushed and smiled at him.
He knew that I was like in love with Zacky but it didn’t stop him. Jimmy leaned in and kissed me. this was the second or third kiss I’d received from him. The first on and my first kiss was at hiscollege freshman year’s dance. I kissed him back and he laid me down on the couch and laid on top of me. I wanted to stop this but I couldn’t. Jimmy and I ended up sleeping together.
“I’m sorry.” He said a few minutes after we finished
“You know I like Zack Jim.” I said
“I know and you’re one of my best friends and I used to like you but I was curious.” He said
“Curiosity can ruin things.” I said
“Did I ruin our friendship?” He asked
“No Jimmy you didn’t. Nothing could ruin our friendship.” I said He smiled.
“Good. This could be our little secret.” He said
“Yeah. So how was I?” I asked He laughed
“You were good for your first time.” He smiled “And how was I?” He asked
“Well since it was my first time I’d say you were good.” I said
I woke up and Zacky was still asleep. I remember that night with Jimmy but we didn’t use a condom. Oh fuck this baby is Jimmy’s. I’m too pregnant for it to be Zacky’s I got up not waking Zacky up and I went down to see if Brian was awake. Brian was laying there talking to someone. I stood there and listened.
“Jimmy I know you’re not with us anymore but I know you are watching over us. That song you heard us play at your funeral that was for you, I wrote it. I hope you liked it. I was laying her remembering all the stupid shit we did as teenagers. Remember when you stole the beer from the little corner store? I do, I was so scared that day that we were going to get caught. And I was thinking about the time that you streaked down the football field our sophomore year. That was a good day; all of us but Brice getting dentition for two weeks. Remember when she showed up in there with us? She had cussed out the football coach and she told him that she knew he liked watching you run naked. We all miss you Jimmy. Brice is trying to hold it together for me but I can just tell she’s dying inside. I tried to sleep but I just couldn’t, it was too quiet. I never thought I would say it but I miss your Godzilla snore. I got used to it, and now I need it to fucking sleep. I’m glad you took the time to listen to my babbling but I’ve never felt so alone.” He said I stood there to see if he was going to say anymore but he didn’t.
“You’re not alone Hun. I will always be here.” I said walking over towards him. “Couldn’t sleep either huh?” He asked I shook my head.
“You look like you’ve got something on your mind. Care to share?” He asked
“If you promise to let me deal with it.” I said
“My mouth is closed.” He said
“My baby isn’t Zacky’s.” I said His eyes got wide.
“How do you know?” He asked
“I only slept with Zacky two months ago. I’m Four and a half.” I said
“Whose is it?” He asked
“Jimmy’s.” I said
“You slept with Jimmy?” He asked
“About two months and two weeks before I started dating Zack. We were chilling in Jimmy’s living room and things just happened. Brian am I a whore?” I asked
“No baby you’re not a whore. But you need to tell Zack.” He said
“I will.” I said
“Tell Jimmy to.” He said
“We’ll go to his grave after my appointment tomorrow.” I said
“Can I go to the appointment with you?” He asked
“You have no choice.” I smiled
