Zacky’s pov
After Brice flat lined her heart beat came back on by itself, Ava was released from the hospital with Bryson and we are all sitting in Brice’s room. When I say all I mean all; Jimmy, Ava, Bryson, Blaze, Zayleigh, Brian, Cassandra, Matt, Val, Johnny, Mandy, Melody, and me. We were all talking and just sitting around the spacious room, I really wished she would wake up but after she flat lined a few days ago the doctors said she had a slim chance of waking up and after eight months, two weeks and four days I’m starting to think it’s true. Cassandra told us that if she were to die while in the coma her heart rate with increase by a lot and then just stop so basically we were all just waiting. I could not stand to know my wife is basically a breathing vegetable, it killed me to know that and I know it broke everyone’s heart.
“Daddy Blaze and I are going to the potty.” Zayleigh said
I nodded and they left the room.
“Zacky I want you to think about something.” Brian said
I looked up at him and nodded for him to go on.
“Think about it, if Brice dies she won’t be alone.” He said
“She’ll be with Jimmy.” Melody said
“I somehow think she already is.” Junior said
I nodded in agreement.
“It’s where she has always wanted to be.” I said
“Zachary James Baker shut you’re fucking mouth, that girl loves you with all of her heart. I don’t want to hear you talking like that.” Cassandra said
“The day she went to pick Jimmy up I walked down to the music room to tell her she had to go and she was sitting on YouTube watching videos of us, mostly him. She misses him.” I said
“We all miss him Zack. I was watching the music video to Seize the Day the other day just to see him do what he loved.” Matt said
“Cassandra and I watched Avenged Sevenfold live at the LBS about a month ago.” Brian said
“Afterlife video and the making of.” Johnny said
I smiled at all of my friends.
“You guys are the best you know that.” I said
“We know.” Brian said
I smiled at him and he looked at me sadly.
“We’re going to go walk around and check on the girls.” Ava said standing up with Jimmy hot on her heels.
Just after they left the heart monitor sped up and I watched her, she thrashed and pulled the tubes out of her throat and nose, after a few seconds she shot up into a sitting position, she looked like she was being possessed.
“Holy shit.” Cassandra said
I just watched Brice she was coughing up things, a little blood and a lot of nasty shit. I knew the blood was from violently ripping her tube out.
“Baby?” I asked
She turned her head and looked at me, and fell right into my arms.
“Baby you’re awake?” I asked
She just nodded and I cried into her hair.
“I’m going to get a doctor.” Cassandra said getting up and sprinting out of the room.
“I was with him.” Brice croaked.
“What?” I asked
“I was with him.” She said
“With who?” I asked
“Jimmy. He told me I wasn’t allowed to stay with him.” She said
I picked up her face and she was crying and so was I.
“Brice you died three days ago and came back.” I said
“He made me.” She said
I hugged her.
“He’s still so beautiful Brian, he looks the same just with an angel glow. He said I couldn’t stay, I wasn’t allowed.” She said
Brian came over and hugged her and she looked at me and I tilted her chin towards me and kissed my wife for the first time in eight months.
“I can’t believe you’re awake.” I said
Cassandra came in with the doctor and he checked Brice out and told her she was okay but she had to stay put.
“This is strange; we for sure thought she wasn’t going to wake up.” He said leaving the room
“Thank you James Sullivan for making her come back.” Brian said
I looked at Brice and she was just lying there.
“Baby.” I said
She opened her eyes at me.
“You’re a grandma.” I said
“Jimmy had a baby?” She asked
“With Ava, they named her Bryson.” I said
She smiled and Cassandra tapped my shoulder.
“Yeah?” I asked
“Come.” She said
I kissed Brice’s hand and walked out with her.
“What?” I asked
“It’s Greyson.” She said
“Is he okay?” I panicked
“Yeah. We took him off of the ventilator last night and watched him. He’s fine, do you want us to bring him down here?” She asked
“Yes.” I cried
She hugged me and I went back into the room.
“How long?” Brice asked
“Eight months baby girl.” Matt said
“Eight months, two weeks and four days.” I said
Brice was just lying there and Jimmy came running into the room.
“She’s awake?” He asked
Brice looked at him and held her arms open, he ran to her and hugged her. Jimmy was crying and I guess we all were. Today was a happy day, Cassandra came in rolling with Greyson in a regular hospital nursery crib.
“Guys lets leave it to just the family.” Brian said
Everyone left but Jimmy and I, Cassandra send the four girls in and Ava, Bryson, Blaze and, Zayleigh came in.
“Mommy.” Blaze and Zayleigh said in unison.
“Come here.” Brice said
They walked up to the bed and crawled in it with her, she hugged them and they cried.
“Mama this is Bryson, your granddaughter.” Jimmy said holding the baby.
“Oh Jimmy she’s beautiful.” Brice said
The twins got out of the bed and Brice made room for me, I nodded and pulled Greyson out of the crib and sat in the bed next to her.
“Who’s this?” Brice asked
“Brice when you got hit you were pregnant. He made it.” I said
She cried and I leaned over and kissed her again, I was going to be doing that a lot.
“What’d you name him?” She asked
“Greyson Hunter Baker.” I said
“I love that name.” She smiled
The doctor came in and told us Brice had to stay for another week for testing but I didn’t care, the only thing I cared about right now is that she was awake, somewhat healthy and our family was together again. I couldn’t be happier.

My orginal plan was to end this with her dying but I really didn't want to, I like how this turned out.
