Seize The Day
CH.31 - BABY
Arianna's POV
Weeks passed by with Megan in our home. To be honest, Brian and I seemed to be very annoyed with her mood-swings or her 'bossing you around' behaviour, but we get that she does this because she is pregnant.
We were home, along with the guys, to celebrate about Matt's upcoming birthday. His birthday will be five days from today but he and Valerie will be leaving the country.
We were all downstairs in the kitchen when we heard a scream upstairs, Megan.
Brian immediately hopped off his seat and sprint upstairs. Soon i followed.
We burst into her room to revealed her on the ground, moaning in pain next to a puddle of water. Shit. The baby is about to be born.
"Zacky! Call the ambulance now." I shouted across the house, loud enough for him to hear and reply me.
Brian carefully carried Megan in his arms and walk down the stairs and once the medic arrived, she was send to the hosiptal.
"Babe, i am gonna go. I might be the father."
"I'll come with you." He nodded and we got in his car after telling the guys to continue to party without us.
We follow the ambulance until we got to the hospital. I can tell by the shaky hands of Brian that he was very much afraid, or nervous, or both.
I put a reassuring hand on his forearm.
"It's okay honey. Relax."
"Ari, what if they baby's mine? What am i going to do? I am not a father-material. Fuck, man." He grumbled and put his head on his hands.
I pulled him in a hug.
"Brian, don't worry. We talked about this. I will support you no matter what happened. I love you." I whispered as he let go of me.
"Thank you."
At this time, we were informed that they are performing a C-section on Megan. While waiting, Brian and I sat around the waiting area. He of course, is fidgeting with everything he has, from his finger to the button of his leather jacket.
Moments later, a doctor approached us and inform us that the baby's out.
"You are," pointing at Brian, "the father, right?"
"I am her ex-boyfriend, i might be the father."
"O, no wonder the mother, before her surgery requested a DNA testing."
Urgently, Brian asked, "When will i know the result?"
"Well, come back tomorrow. In the mean time, do you want to see the baby? If you do, just go to this....." and he directed us to that part of the hospital.
We saw a lot of little creatures behind the window. Most of them are napping. They are adorable. We were informed that Megan's baby will be in the left side. It's a girl.
I pointed at the baby, turned to Brian and said,
"If she is your kid, we will raise her."
He didn't reply me. I can tell he doesn't want to be the father of Megan's child. I can tell he regret their relationship together.
"Let's just hope for the best in the DNA test." He said, sighing.
