Nothing Else Matters.

One of the Guys.

Brian's house was by the beach. It was beautiful, and I envied him for having that home. It wasn't a bad envy, though. If you saw it, you'd know what I was talking about. I drove into the drive way and parked the car once Brian pulled in first. Behind me, there was a motorcycle that followed. I always found motorcycles attractive. I chewed down onto my bottom lip as the bike stopped, and the kickstand hit the ground. The male moved off of the bike, taking off the helmet. My heart stopped there. It was Matt.

Once Matt placed his helmet onto the seat of his motorcycle, I opened the car door and walked out of the car, locking it. He jogged up to me, "Hey, Annabelle, right? How was the first day?" He asked with curiousity.

I smiled over at him, "It went pretty well. I mean, all the classes seem simple enough. I mean, I can't put a label on shit when it's the first day." I laughed softly. Matt nodded, agreeing with my point.

"I'm sure you'll love it there. I mean, I hate about half the school, but whatever. Anyways, what are you doing this weekend?" Matt asked, licking across his bottom lip. His teeth clamped onto his black hoop that wrapped around his lip. Oh, shit. What was I doing this weekend?

"Um, nothing.." I started, feeling my cheeks heat up. "Why do you ask?" I asked, looking around him, then brought my eyes back to him.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come to a party Brian is holding. Our band is performing, too." Matt's lips curled into a smile. Beside the corner of his lips were dimples. The dimples made my heart melt.

"O-of course!" I said, exicited to know that he was in a band. For some reason, his level of hotness increased. "What kind of music do you guys play?" At this point, we were basically at the door. He opened it for me. In response, I thanked him and once we were inside, Matt answered my question.

"We're like in metal... I guess. I'm the vocalist. Our sound is... different, yeah. I scream instead of sing." He replied, licking his tongue over his lip ring. I nodded, already loving the style of music they played.

"Oh, sweet! That sounds killer. I'll be there, okay?" I said, giving him a smile. He replied with a smile. Brian came over a gave both of us a beer. I looked at it, approving of the brand. When it came to alcohol, I was very picking. I reminded myself that I wasn't going to get too drunk, so I could still drive home.

A few hours had passed, and it was already about 7pm. The sun was beginning to set, and thank God I stuck to my word. The guys were already drunk off their asses. I kicked Matt's leg, "Asshole, you gotta get home... Do you need me to drive you?" I asked. He laughed, nodding as he got up. He stumbled to the door.

"Thanks for having me, Brian. I'll be here this weekend, too. Matt invited me." I smiled, giving him a hug.

"Not a problem, sweetie. Say, why not come over every day? You can see us at band practice, too." Brian replied with a nod, and tilting his head as he offered.

"That would be awesome, yeah. Thank you. Bye, Zacky and Jimmy!" I called for them, waved, and helped Matt out the door.

"T-thanks, babe-e." Matt slurred as I opened the door for him and helped him inside. I just rolled my eyes at him, then walked over to the driver's side of my car. After turning it on and finally backing out of his drive-way, avoiding Matt's motorcycle.

"So, where do you live?" I asked, glancing over at him. He was just staring at me. I raised a brow at him, "Hello?"

"Oh, uh.. yeah. 128 Main Street - that's uh, this road. Yep." He said. It seemed like his mind was going all over the place. I smiled, nodding.

It wasn't far from Brian's house. Once I pulled up, I stopped the car. "Do you need help getting inside?"

"No, I got it. Thanks, Anabelle." He smiled, leaning over. On impulse, I wrapped my arms around him to give him a quick hug. "Have a good night, okay?" He winked, then walked out of the car, stumbling to the front door. I figured he'd walk to Brian's house and get his motorcycle in the morning.

I drove back home, blasting I Wanna Know What Love Is by Foreigner. Of course, I sang along at the top of my lungs. I was still a little buzzed, but I was still able to drive. I didn't know what I was going to wear tomorrow to impress Matt. I didn't like him in that way, God no. But I wanted to get his approval as a friend since he seemed way too cool for me.

I wanted to try to be good enough for him.

Notes

I am so sorry that this is so short! I've been really busy with school and tonight I'm seeing the new Twilight movie at the 10pm showing. I wish I could've written more, but I figured that I could slap this on. I promise that the next chapter will be much longer. Thanks, guys.
