Nothing Else Matters.

Introduction.

The familiar buzz of the alarm buzzed through the room. I groaned, turning the alarm off. Finally, the buzz was covered up by silence - the loudest sound of them all. I sighed, realizing what the day was. It was the first day at Huntington High. The heat was already so much different than New York City. It definitely helped, since the suns rays were making me happier. It took my mind off my depression quickly.

I rolled out of bed, letting my body hit the floor. I mumbled a curse under my breath and walked over to the light. "Shit.." I mumbled again, then walked over to the closet. I didn't want to be over the top on my first day. I chose a Guns N' Roses shirt and a pair of jeans. Opening a drawer, I found a black laced bra and a plain black thong. I stripped from everything, then put on the undergarments. Once covered slightly, I put on the jeans and the shirt.

For a going away present, my best friend Melissa gave me a CD of all my favorite songs that we always got drunk to or even did our homework to. 'Talk Dirty To Me' by Poison started the mix. I smiled then looked at the reflection in the mirror. I rolled my eyes at the sight before me. I was hideous. I knew for a fact that this was going to be a long senior year. I prayed that it wasn't that bad. I mean, I'm only there for one year.

I untied my hair out of the ponytail, letting my cinnamon red locks fall to my chest. My hair stopped just above my breasts. I brushed out the tangles and let it as it was. I began putting on an even coat of foundation on. I applied a line of black eyeliner onto my top lid, then draw a line onto the water line. I coated my lashes with a few layers of black mascara, then curled them. The price of beauty... After making my face up, I tied on a pair of black converse, picked up my black purse with studs, and a notebook with a pencil in the metal rings. I stopped the CD, placed it back into the case and put it into my purse. I left my bedroom and walked into the bathroom. After doing the usual morning pee, I brushed my teeth carefully. I wanted my teeth to be extra white on the first day.

Running down the steps, I waved to my parents who were already up. My dad made breakfast and the smell of bacon and pancakes filled my nose. That was my favorite meal to begin the day.

"Are you ready for your first day?" My dad asked, placing the pancakes and a few strips of bacon onto a plate. He handed me the plate, and I walked over the table. I placed my bag onto the table with the notebook. He brought over a glass of orange juice, too.

"I guess so.." I sighed, not exactly excited for it.

"Why not?" My mom asked, walking over to sit beside me. I rolled my hazel eyes at her, letting out a small laugh.

"Mom, I start a new school for senior year. Not many people will talk to me. They're going to be too consumed with each other. I mean, they all grew up together." I twisted my mouth, taking a piece of bacon and ate a bit of it.

My parents understood my reasoning, but like always, they treated to find the positive side to it. I agreed with them and finished my breakfast. My dad handed me the directions to the school. My stomach already started to fill with butterflies. I thanked him, hugged both of them and grabbed my bag, then finally left. I wasn't ready at all for the first day, and I prayed that nothing too cliche' would happen. I opened the door to my car, and turned on the engine. I looked at the paper, then placed on the passenger seat. I pushed the CD into the CD player, changing the song. 'I Want You To Want Me' by Cheap Trick played through the speakers. I felt like I was in '10 Things I Hate About You'. Maybe Heath Ledger would be at the school. I laughed at my nonsense and turned on the street on which the school was on.

The campus was gorgeous and seemed very welcoming. I parked the car in the senior parking lot. I scanned the seniors in the lot, smiling at what I was going to meet. They all seemed rather nice, but who was I to judge? I got out of my car, walking toward the school. I entered the building and went into the main office.

"Hi, I.. um, I'm Anabelle Peterson. I'm new here." I introduced to the secretary with a small smile. She nodded, handing me my schedule and welcomed me to the school. I thanked her, and returned to the halls. I walked through them, completely confused on where I was going. My first class was in room 204... English with Mr. Barton. I smiled since it wasn't a horrible class to begin with. Once I reached the second floor, the bell rang. "Great..." I muttered, and walked down the hall.

Within five minutes, I found his room. The door was closed and I let out a deep breath to gain some confidence. I opened the door and felt about 15 eyes on me. I nibbled down on my bottom lip and looked at the teacher.

"Are you.. Anabelle?" Mr. Barton asked. I nodded my head slowly, giving him a shaky smile. He told to sit beside someone named Brian. I nodded in response and sat down beside the male. I looked at him with a friendly smile, who gave one in return.

"Hey, I'm Brian." He said, sticking out a hand. I shook his hand and introduced myself. I turned my attention back to the teacher, who was just explaining the syllabus. Brian tapped my arm and I looked over at him. "What class do you have next? I could help you out."

"Thanks," I whispered, smiling at him. I looked at my schedule, point at the next period.Math. I rolled my hazel hues and looked at him. He was smiling. His smile made me tilt my head.

"I have that class next. I have with my buds, Matt and Zack." He nodded, sitting up in his seat. "I can introduce them to you, too." I nodded, telling him that I would love that. Quickly, the class ended and Brian was bringing me to math class. It wasn't far from the English room, which helped a lot. He told me that I was invited to hang out with him and his friends since he thought I was pretty cool. I accepted the offer and entered the room with him. Brian went up to Matt, giving him a man hug and same with Zack. They must've been really close.

Brian told Matt and Zack who I was, and both of them greeting me. When the one with the lip ring smiled, my heart raced. "I'm Matt." He smiled, sticking out his hand. I shook it, then shook Zack's. I sat down beside Matt.

"So, what kind of music do you like?" He asked, but looked at my shirt. He grinned at the band on it.

"What? Do you like Guns N' Roses?" I laughed, looking down at my own shirt, then back at him.

He nodded quickly, "Fuck yeah. It's my favorite band... like ever. Them and Pantera."

"I just met you, and I swear you're my twin." I laughed, smiling at him. He smiled back, and gave my heart a jolt.

The day continued on slowly, and I was happy that Matt, Zack, Brian, and now Jimmy were in my lunch. They were in a band called Avenged Sevenfold. They weren't famous yet, but they were playing in basements. I was excited to spend the rest of the day with them. I went into my car, following Brian to his house. I wondered what was going to happen. I guess my life was a little cliche'd
