Growing up in a weathy family had its perks...well it did before her father murdered her mother before turning the gun on himself when she was just fourteen. That was the year that everything changed for Laura Elizabeth Watson. Becoming an orphan she was placed in the care of her grandparents who wasted no time in expressing to her that they did not have to look after her, and that they were, in fact, doing this because they wanted to raise her to become a respectable Watson woman. Meaning, she was to be seen not heard. Clean, cook, speak only when spoken to and, overall, obey every and all men as they were the superior gender.

At eighteen her grandparents packed her up and sent her to live with Timothy Francis Mclean, the man whom her grandparents had chosen for her to date and marry, the man whose wealth well surpassed that of the Watson fortune. Laura, with no hesitation moved immediately in with Timothy and started her new life as built in maid and arm candy. After a short time, she was used for all of his needs, suffering at his hands from the physical and emotional abuse he dealt her.

Timothy Mclean was the heir to the Mclean empire, both he and his brother, Joseph, inherited the family business from their father. However, this business was anything but legal. The Mclean family were the leaders of one of the more unknown but very successful gangs in Huntington Beach, California. Second only to the notorious Sevenfold.

Avenged Sevenfold was notorious throughout all of Huntington Beach, well known to take no mercy on all that crossed their path. Led by five of the most intimidating men ever to grace the earth. Regardless of their intimidating stand, they are also well known for their zero tolerance for any type of domestic violence against women and always deal out the violence in kind to the men who dare strike women to prove their dominance.

When the brutally abusive Timothy brings the batered Laura to a 'business' dinner in hopes of striking a deal with the Sevenfold how will they all react? When sparks fly between the battered girl and the most intimidating leader of the Sevenfold, how will Timothy react? Will Laura be able to protect her heart better than she's been able to protect her body and emotions?
