After another hour or so it was nearing midnight, I was still angry with Zacky so I was dozing off on Jimmy again before he moved and woke me up
“Sorry Bells, I’m gonna go home, alright?” He asked in a whisper, putting a pillow under my head “Call me if you need me and I’ll be here before you know it,” He said and I smiled and nodded, letting my eyes fall closed. I heard Jimmy saying goodbye to Zacky before the door opened and closed again.
Zacky’s P.O.V
Bella was asleep and I still felt awful for what happened with us before I stormed out, I knew she wouldn’t talk if I woke her but I could still talk to her if she was asleep, I know she would hear me.
“Bella, I’m sorry for tonight, I don’t know why I took Gena back, I guess it’s because I know you’re never going to be mine, I think, no, I know we’re meant to be together, you’re my best friend and I… I love you, fuck, we’re having a baby together, you should be mine,” I sighed and rubbed my hand over my face “You can’t hear me, but you need to be with me,” I sighed, covered her with a blanket after getting no response and went to bed.
Bella’s P.O.V
Zacky covered me with the throw on the back of the sofa and went to bed, as soon as I knew he couldn’t see me I smiled like an idiot and stared at the ceiling, I’d heard everything he’d said, I wasn’t fully asleep and he woke me up, he loves me! Holy shit…
I woke up in the morning to the smell of bacon and I knew Zacky was cooking up his amazing bacon rolls, I pushed myself off of the sofa and waddled into the kitchen where Zacky was dancing around to whatever was on the radio.
“Morning,” I said, making him jump
“Morning, sleep alright?” He asked with a smile before turning back to the bacon
“Considering I slept on the sofa, yeah I slept alright,” I poured myself a glass of milk and downed it, being parched with a dry throat.
“Val’s gonna be here soon to get you, Matt just texted me, you should go get ready,” He said, I nodded and left the room to get ready.
I showered quickly before drying my hair and letting it fall into its natural waves around my face, I applied minimal makeup and slipped into a blue and white flowery play suit over a white vest top and blue acid-wash vans. I heard Val beeping her horn from outside so I grabbed my phone and ran – or, my pregnant version of running, down the stairs, kissed Zacky on the cheek saying goodbye and made my way to the car.
“I still don’t understand why my mom and Zacky’s mom are here,” I sighed, whispering to Val as we walked around the bridal store
“Your mom’s here because she’s Matt’s mom too and Zacky’s? Well my mother invited her because they’re close friends, so I guess that’s why she’s here,” She shrugged, she didn’t really care who was here as long as they didn’t start shit and were honest about how she looked in every dress she tried on.
“Oh how about this one?” I squealed, picking up a beautiful white dress that was tight around the bodice, slightly puffy at the bottom and had halter straps and some diamonds on. Val had sent all of us girls out to pick her a dress and she would decide what one she liked best.
We were all sitting on the sofa’s around the dressing room waiting on Val trying on the last dress, mine. She didn’t like Michelle’s because it made her look fat and that ended in a small argument about Michelle trying to make her sister look fat for her wedding. She didn’t like Lacey’s because it was too meringue like, she didn’t like her mother’s because it was too 50’s looking and the only one left to try was mine.
“Oh my god,” We all whispered as she emerged from the dressing room.
“This is the one, right?” She asked, tears in her eyes and we all nodded frantically in agreement, her mother started fussing over her, choosing a veil while my mother and Zacky’s pulled me to the side.
“Darling, how are you and Zacky getting on?” Marie, Zacky’s mom asked
“We’re fine, I guess,” I shrugged
“Well your mother and I really do think that you two should try and be together for the baby, it will only be confused,”
“Our baby won’t be confused, they’d only get hurt if we tried to be together and it didn’t work out and we ended up living apart, I moved in with him for a reason Mrs Baker,”
This conversation lasted a good ten minutes before Val needed me to try on my dress, it was the same length, colour and style as the other bridesmaids but mine had more support in the bust and straps instead of being strapless.
I walked out of the dressing room in the pale green dress and white shoes and everyone gasped.
“That’s the bridesmaid dress I want you to wear next week,” Val gushed
“Alright, if you think so,” I shrugged, twisting from side to side while trying to see my feet.
“You’re going to have to come back two days before the wedding for an alteration,” my mom said from beside Mrs Dibenedetto
“Mom, how much bigger am I going to get in a week?” I sighed
“If you’re anything like me, then that baby will grow over night, you’ll be lucky to make it down that aisle comfortably,” She said shaking her head
I turned on my heel and walked back into the dressing room to change back out of the dress.
“Thanks Val, sorry about my mom, I’ll see you tomorrow night,” I said, waving as I climbed out of the car and walked back into the house where I found Zacky cooking dinner
“I left, you were cooking, I return and you’re still cooking,” I laughed, he turned to see me and smiled before shaking his head
“It’s not like I’ve been cooking all day, but my mom told me about the talk they gave you today, so I thought I’d make you my spaghetti bolognaise that you love so much,”
“You’re amazing!” I exclaimed, walking over and hugging him from behind “It’s been a stressful day, I can’t believe my brother’s getting married in a week!”
