I Guess Normalcy Just Isn't Our Style
“So, what should we name him?” I asked Zacky who was sitting on the hospital bed with me holding our tiny green eyed son.
“What about Noah Charles?” Zacky suggested while he played with the baby’s tiny toes.
“Isn’t Noah a very religious name? We’re not religious,”
“I know, I don’t think there’s a rule book to what we can name our son, if you don’t like it-“
“I love it,” I said smiling down at the baby who was looking around the room with wide eyes “Hey Noah, we’ve waited a long time to meet you,”
The door opened and all the guys walked in with Michelle and Val behind them, they were all carrying bags and balloons saying ‘it’s a boy’ and everyone had wide eyes and big smiles on their faces.
“Hey look at that, you guys look like a little family,” Johnny said with a laugh and everyone else chuckled
“We are a little family,” Zacky said without taking his eyes off of Noah
“Hey momma, how you doing?” Michelle asked
“Sore, but it was all worth it,” I chuckled
“Guys, meet Noah Charles…” Zacky trailed off and looked at me “We haven’t decided who’s name he takes,”
“Baker,” I said without hesitation “Look at him, he’s obviously a Baker and you are his dad so why not?”
“Can I hold him?” Jimmy asked holding out his hands, I picked Noah off of the bed and handed him to Jimmy who smiled immediately “Funny, I thought Matt would be the first a7x daddy,” He laughed and Noah laughed too
“Oh my God, that was adorable, do it again,” I said, Jimmy laughed again and Noah copied “Aw my baby!”
3 weeks later~~~
Zacky’s P.O.V
The last 3 weeks have been exhausting, and it’s nowhere near over yet. Noah does have a set of lungs on him and he loves to use them, the guys and girls have been great at helping out and the guys haven’t bothered me too much about not being down at the studio but today we’re going back to work for good, I’m worried about when we finish this album which is self-titled and we’re going on tour that we might not be able to bring Bella and Noah along.
“Bella, are you ready to go?” I called from the living room where I was putting Noah in his car seat as he ate his sock clad toes.
Bella walked into the room looking great, you would have never believed that 3 short weeks ago she had a baby, her hair was now shoulder length and she wasn’t wearing any makeup – I’ll admit I liked her natural look better. She was wearing a loose white V-neck and dark grey skinny jeans with her combat boots and she was on her phone.
“Yeah, I’m just letting Val know that we’re leaving, she’s down at the studio with the guys,” She said as she finished tapping away on her phone and tucked it into her pocket.
I lifted Noah’s seat and headed to the car, Bella followed, locking the door behind her before climbing into the passenger seat. I climbed in beside her and started the car.
“Let’s go make some music baby,” She said leaning over and kissing me on the lips. Oh yeah, we’re kind of a thing now.
We’d gotten Noah home from the hospital and I caved, I told her how I felt, that I loved her and over the past 9 months I’d fallen even more in love with her and thankfully she admitted the exact same thing, so now, she was my girlfriend. I know that you’re supposed to fall in love and then reproduce, but I guess that normalcy just isn’t our style.
