"Matt! Come on! We're gonna be late!" I yelled as I ran up to Matt's room. "Matt!"
"Calm your tits, Dusti," he laughed, walking out of his room.
"Okay, then, lets go!" I grabbed his hand and ran down the stairs.
"Bye mom!" Matt called as we ran past the kitchen.
"Bye, Mrs. Sanders!"
"See ya kids!" She called back.
We got into his cat and set off for school.
"So, Dusti," Matt started.
"So, Matt," I said back, the same tone as him.
"What would you say to going out for dinner tonight?"
"Like a date?"
"Yeah, something like that,"
"Why not?"
"I'll pick you up at 7 then, wear a dress."
"A dress? Really?"
"Yes. We're being fancy tonight."
"Of course,"
The rest of the car ride was quiet, except for music playing in the background. I was looking out the window, watching the passing scenery, deep in thought about what's been going on in my life.
"Here we are m'lady!" Matt said, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, yeah we're here," I said back, unbuckling.
"You alright?" He asked.
"Yeah, I was just thinking about what's been going on lately. I mean, I've known you for what, 2 days? And we already act like we've known each other for years."
"That's good right?"
"Yeah, I've never made friends with anybody this fast."
"Well, you've made 5 friends who will be here for the rest of your life."
"Thanks, Matt. I really appreciate it!" I pulled him into a hug over the center console thing. "Lets go!"
We climbed out of the car and made our way to the group who were sitting by a tree outside of the school.
"Hey guys!" I chirped happily as I sat down.
"You seem happy," Zacky commented.
"Yeah, I've just realized that I've got some amazing friends here." I beamed at them
"You're pretty amazing yourself!" Matt said me me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
