A couple months later.

We practically had finished my first cd, in fact I had a meeting with the guys manager so he could really help me get on the path I wanted. So I was ecstatic about that, and even though I was so happy on the outside my heart was broken. Brian and I haven’t talked in a few weeks and the last time we slept together, it was just sex. There wasn’t even any kind of passion behind it. I had just become a booty call for when Michelle was out spending his money.

I rolled out of my bed and fell on to the floor, I felt really groggy this morning as I slumped down the stairs and into the kitchen where I met Val, Jimmy, and Leana. Leana and Jimmy met two weeks ago at the bar I work at, Leana and I have been pretty good friends for awhile actually. So I introduced them and they have hit it off ever since.

“Morning guys!” I yawned, as I sat down next to Val stealing some bacon off her plate.
“Morning sunshine!” Jimmy bellowed, causing Leana to chuckle.
“Hey everyone!” I yawned again, causing everyone to chuckle. “what’s going on today?”
“Well” Val paused, thinking of what everyone had planned today, “Zacky and Gena took of for Vegas, Johnny and Lacey are gone visiting family, and Brian and Michelle uh took off early this morning for New York,” she paused again, noting my facial expression, “Matt is upstairs sleeping, he hasn’t felt to well lately, so now the rest of us were just gona chill.” I nodded. I had known Zacky and Gena were leaving, I had known about Johnny and Lacey going somewhere, so why didn’t Brian tell me he was leaving? Was he mad at me? If so, for what I don’t think I’ve done anything to make him not tell me unless…

All my thoughts stopped as I nearly pushed Val out of her seat to get to the kitchen sink so that I could puke. Everyone rushed over to me, Lacey helped hold my hair back, Val was rubbing my back soothingly, Jimmy was standing by with an open bottle of water. I felt like I wouldn’t ever stop and it was scarring me, until one final hurl I was done. Keeping my head in the sink I reached for the paper towel in Val’s hand to wipe my mouth. I finally stood up and turned to Jimmy who handed me the bottle of water with a sad smile on his face.

“Are you feeling ok?” Lacey asked I nodded as I took small sips from my bottle of water. I had no clue where that came from. Trying to dismiss them from worrying

“It might just be the flu, I’ll be fine.” I smiled reassuringly. “So what do we want to do all day?”

“Well,” Jimmy paused, then continued “You’ve got a meeting with Larry today, but after that we should go swimming, wait can you go swimming if your sick?” he questioned.

“I’ll be fine to go swimming, that sounds really nice actually. Wait what time was that meeting?” We all looked at the clock as Val spoke up,

“The meeting was at 9, and it’s 8:30.” My eyes went wide as I took off for my room shouting out,

“Fuuucckk!”

Jimmy and I were on our way, flying down the streets of Huntington to meet up with Larry. I couldn’t believe I was gona be late. This was not how I wanted to make a first impression at all. We got to the small building, and as Jimmy was trying to park I hopped out of the car and ran for the door. I could hear Jimmy shouting at me for jumping out of a “moving” vehicle. I rolled my eyes as I darted for the room Larry told me to meet him in, Jimmy was soon right behind me. As I got to the door I paused to look up at Jimmy,

“What if he doesn’t like it?” I asked my nerves finally catching up to me. Jimmy looked at me with an eye brow raised,

“Aidan…You’re a wonderful person with an amazing talent at writing lyrics and you sing beautifully! Your one kick ass girl and trust me! He’ll love it. So go ahead and open that door and get your ass in there!” Jimmy smiled reassuringly as I pushed open the door. I walked in with Jimmy behind me,

“Ahh Jimmy I see you’ve decided to tag along with your friend today?” A man with short spiky hair, and soft brown eyes welcomed us.
“No I just came to bug you and for moral support for my lil’ Aidan here.” Jimmy cooed pinching my cheeks, I glared at him then turned to the man who I now assumed was the Larry Jacobson I’d be meeting. I had never met him in person but we had talked over the phone.
“So this is Aidan,” He smiled holding out his hand, which I took. “Nice to meet the face behind the voice” I smiled as I replied,

“Nice to meet you too Mr. Jacobson.” this called Jimmy and Larry to laugh,

“Please, Aidan no need to be so formal. Larry is fine with me. Now lets take a listen to that demo.” He smiled as I handed him my demo.

“Well that went really well!” I stated to Jimmy as we headed back to the car, it was a little bit after noon, so hopefully Val would have started making lunch.

“I told you so!” Jimmy said matter of factly. I just rolled my eyes as we sped out of the parking lot and back for home. I thought to myself while Jimmy sang along to the radio, I absent mindedly placed my hand on my stomach in a protective manner as a another car almost pulled out in front of us.

“Holy shit! What an ass!” Jimmy shouted, showing off his road rage. I took a deep breath, I’ve always had a fear of car accidents. Ever since I was in one as a teenager, I would get a small panic attack whenever another car even looked like it was to close to the vehicle I was in. Jimmy looked over to me, and gave me a half smile

“I almost forgot how much those things scare you Adi.”
“I’ll be fine Jim.” I smiled looking at him, still not taking my hand away from my stomach.
“You sure? Your holding on to your stomach, and you’ve been hormonal lately, have you had your period?”
“Jimmy!” I looked at him bewildered, yet in the back of my mind his questions did make me aware something wasn’t right. “Your stupid, don’t ask me that, and your lucky I didn’t just punch you for that. That’s my business,”
“See hormonal.”
“Jimmy knock it off.”
We were silent the rest of the way home.

That night.

Val, Leana, and I were sitting on the couch having a girls night in considering Matt was sick, and everyone was still worried about me because of this morning. Jimmy was currently blowing off some steam after he had called Brian to find out what was wrong with me, since I wouldn’t tall him. All Brian told him was that maybe I did get pregnant from some guy I screwed at work which really hurt, and really pissed Jimmy off. As well as the Val and Leana, I told them not to worry that it was just because of Michelle. I told them as soon as he gets home he would apologize, at least I hoped he would.

“what movie should we watch next?” I asked while holding my ice cream spoon in my mouth. Looking from Leana to Val they both shrugged. “Fine! I’ll get up and pick one out!” they laughed at my over dramatic acting. As I was looking through the stack of movies we had piled out on the floor in front of the TV. I decided I’d finally confess something to them even though I know it will look bad, I just needed some one who didn’t have a dick to talk to about this situation I was in.
“Can I ask you girls something?” I asked not facing them, as I put the new movie on.
“Sure hun, you know you can talk to us about anything.” Val said reassuringly,
“Yeah come on! Whats been going on in that pretty little head of yours!?” Leana smiled up at me.

I sat back down in my spot in between them and picked at the carpet as I let my secret spill into the air.
“I’ve sorta kinda been sleeping with Brian…”
