" see you guys later" I said to all the guys as we filed out of the studio. it was Friday so we decided to knock off early since we had gotten a lot further than we planned already. I jumped in my car instantly checking my phone for the first time today. " damn..." I sighed, frowning when I saw that Frankie hadn't returned any of my numerous calls or texts since yesterday. I kept staring at my phone like it had possibly been joking with me with I checked it before and it was going to really showed me she called. God I was acting like a freaking chick!

" hey bri" Matt's muffled voice yelled from the other side of my closed car window making me jump in my seat. As soon as my heart settled back in my chest from the scare I unlocked the door as he climbed in.

" Dude my cars got a flat, you mind giving me a lift home?" He asked closing the car door already knowing I wouldn't say no. we pulled off and I was actually glad that happened because now I had a reason to go to his house and see what was up with Frankie without looking like a stalker. I looked to my left and caught a glimpse of a flower shop jerking the wheel to turn into the parking lot before I missed it.

" Awe Brian, I know you love me, you don't have to get me flowers" Matt gushed doing a horrible job at trying to execute a southern belle accent. I just glared at him as I turned off the car and made my way inside while Matt waited outside. I've never been one for the romantic, flowers, mushy gushy stuff but I knew she was more than deserving of it. I pretty much purchased the first vase of flowers I saw just wanting to get out of there, as I felt extremely uncomfortable and out of place.

" since when do you buy flowers? This is definitely a first" Matt questioned me with a dumb founded expression. " oh fuck man please tell me you didn't fuck up again!" He blurted out. " when you piss her off she and Val have a fucking lifetime movie marathon, I can't take another one of those dude!" He rambled in a panicked tone, dread written all over his face. I couldn't help but laugh. But that quickly faded as we got closer to his house and my stomach started to twist up into a pretzel as I was afraid I was about to make a fool out of myself. but its not like we haven't already been through some shit already. We had a fresh start, what could go wrong? She was probably just busy or something I told myself in an attempt to calm my nerves as I pulled in Matt's driveway. We walked in the door and headed in the kitchen to grab a beer assuming the girls were upstairs since it was so quiet.

" what are you guys doing back here so early?" Val asked seeming completely off guard, reminding me of a kid who just got caught doing something wrong. Her face drained of color as she looked at me like she had just seen a ghost. I looked to the right of Val and noticed Frankie sitting at the kitchen table with the same exact look on her face as Val.

" What wrong with you weirdos?" Matt chuckled popping a cookie into his mouth. I noticed that they weren't even paying any attention to Matt at all they had their eyes locked on me the whole time and only me which was extremely unnerving to say the least. Apparently Matt was oblivious to the staring contest that was in progress as he munched away checking his phone like there wasn't something really strange going on here.

" I'm pregnant!" Frankie blurted out before smacking her hand over her mouth as her eyes grew wide in horror at what she just said. Val's mouth dropped open as she turned to stare at Frankie in disbelief. Matt's mouth hung open making the cookie drop from his mouth. I just stood there as my head swirled around and I felt my hand loosen the grasp on the flowers sending the vase crashing to the floor splashing water, glass and tulips everywhere. Despite the hideous noise it made no one moved a muscle. I tried with all my will to speak, hell even to move but I was paralyzed, mentally and physically. I didn't notice that she had moved till I felt her trembling hand on my cheek making me look at her .

" Brian I'm so sorry" she cried hanging her head and dropping her hand back to her side. I don't know how but I came out of my shock and my heart ached as she cried. I never saw this coming at all but I wasn't going to let her down. I made her a promise before and I was going to keep it.

" Don't cry baby, we will get through this" I said pulling her into my arms never wanting to let her go. I had just seemed to have forgotten one small little detail. Zacky. For all I know she could be carrying his baby in her stomach. Either way I was going to stand by her, but I didn't know how he would take this kind of news and I was alittle nervous for her.

" she has an appointment tomorrow to confirm, but she took fifteen home tests already, so...." Val said walking over to warp her arm around Frankie as she continued to tremble in my arms.

" I didn't want to tell you until after I went, but" she choked out in between sobs until I softly grabbed her head laying it back on my chest signaling her to stop and relax.

" well ill go with you, but you have to tell zacky babe" I said , my heart tearing in two at the thought of this child possibly not being mine.

" I know" she sighed. " I know"
