Welcome to the Family, Adrian!
Chapter Five
"Hi," I replied, sitting down on my bed. "Are you excited to meet the Avenged Sevenfold?"
"Yes," Alex replied. "And extremely nervous."
"Yeah, just think how I felt when I saw Synyster Gates at my door, waiting for me to go meet him and eat lunch with him," I got up and started to walk to the door.
"Where are you going?" Alex questioned.
"Uhm, to the bathroom?" I said, confused. "To finish getting ready..."
"Oh... Okay,"
I walked to the bathroom and started to dry my hair, which took about ten minutes. I then started to put on some make up. I barely took anytime to do that because I've done my makeup the same since I was 13.
Once I was done I walked back into my room.
"Well, you look pretty," Alex said.
"Why thank you," I did one of those girly bow things.
"Adrian and Alex! Come down here please!" My dad called from the bottom of the stairs.
"Coming dad!" I yelled. "Let's go!"
We ran down the stairs as fast as we could. Alex reached the bottom before I did, he has always been faster than me.
"Whattya need?" I asked, almost out of breath.
"Just act like you've lived here your whole life," My dad said. "Just, don't answer the door. I'll do that."
"TO THE KITCHEN I GO!" I yelled and marched off to the kitchen. "Where's the food?"
"Oh yeah," My dad said. "The food will be arriving with the band."
"BUT I"M HUNGRY!" I said, both my dad and Alex started laughing. "I love food, and food loves me."
There was a knock at the door but, before My dad could get to it, people started walking in.
"Whoa! Who are you guys??" Matt asked, he was the first to walk in.
"Matt, this is Alex," My dad pointed to Alex. "And this is Adrian, my daughter,"
"HOLY SHIT! YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER?" Jimmy yelled as he bounded into the kitchen. "HII!!"
"Everybody, the reason I got that call while we were just finishing up our tour, was because Adrian's foster mom had called me. She actually lived 15 minutes away." My dad explained.
"Is that why you asked us to come over?" Zacky asked.
"Yep," My dad replied.
"Well, now that this introduction is over," I jumped onto the counter. "Where's the food?"
"Here ya go!" Jimmy took a pan out of Matt's arms and handed it to me. "Brownies!"
"OH MY GOD! THANK YOU, JIMMY!" I yelled and grabbed the pan out of his hands.
"I have a feeling that you guys will get along fine," Matt said as he walked to the counter to put more stuff down.
"Hey, uhh, Adrian," Alex said nervously. "Can I talk to you?"
"Uhh, sure," I replied, my voice muffled by a brownie.
We walked up to my room and Alex closed the door.
"I don't feel comfortable here right now." Alex said flatly.
"What? Why?"
"It's just, everybody is talking to you, and I'm just standing there, being awkward."
"So start talking! I've always been good with meeting new people. Trust me, I feel like I'm going to die inside. I'm so freaking nervous."
"Well, I think I'm just going to leave. Have fun, Adrian."
Alex left my room after that. I heard my dad call out to him but, there was no answer. The front door opened then closed.
"What was that about?" I asked myself as I walked out of my room and down the stairs.
"Why did Alex leave?" My dad asked.
"I honestly don't know," I replied. "He said he wasn't comfortable here."
"Yes," Alex replied. "And extremely nervous."
