Chapter Twenty Five
-Adrian's POV/the next morning-
I woke up the next morning laying on Jimmy. He came and talked to me last night.
-Flashback to last night-
Jimmy walked into my room after talking wth Dad.
"Hey there," he said lightly.
"Hi," I replied, my voice raspy from crying.
"How are you doing?" He sat on my bed next to me.
"I feel really bad,"
"Why?"
"I freaked out on Dad,"
"He understands, he doesn't know what it's like,"
"I just wish I had someone who does understand," I leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Well," he started. "I wasn't always living the high life."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I was in and out of homes for so long. Hell I even lived in a laundromat!"
"I remember watching a video of you guys talking about that."
"Yeah, can I ask you something?"
"Sure,"
"What was your mom like? Well all her good qualities?"
"Well, when she was sober, she was really sweet and kind and caring. She had a really nice boyfriend, Kyle, and them they broke up and moved down here. I really liked Kyle and I miss him,"
"Why'd they break up?"
"I don't know, she never told me."
"Oh,"
"Yeah"
I yawned without warning and got suddenly tired.
"I'm really tired," I said as I laid my head down on is lap.
"Then sleep. I'll be here when you wake up," he stroked my hair which slowly lulled me to sleep.
-end flashback-
"Morning sleepy head," Jimmy said, looking down at me.
"Morning," I replied. "What time is it?"
"I don't know, wanna go raid the kitchen?"
"Yeah!!" I chirped as I got up and made m way to the door.
"I just don't know what to so about this," I heard dad say
"Well, you could just let it play out," I heard Valarie reply. Valarie I here? "Or you could do what we had to do a couple years ago, we had telenovela her to see a counselor,"
"Well see, if it happens again, them I'll take her to a counselor." Dad replied.
"What's going on?" Jimmy whispered, Scaring me.
"They're talking about taking me to a counselor," I looked at him, disbelief all over my face.
"Don't let it get to you, let's get food. I'll talk to Brian later,"
"Okay, let's go," I said and walked down the stairs quietly, Jimmy trailing behind.
