We arrived at the beach about fifteen minutes after we'd left. All the guys had huge smiles on their faces.
"We've been on tour for what feels like forever, it's so awesome so finally just get to have fun!" Johnny stated. All the guys agreed whole-heatedly.
We found a good spot in the pretty much center of the beach. It was October, so there weren't many people there. It was also eleven in the morning, so we were pretty much alone. We unloaded our things. Setting down blankets and a cooler full of alcohol, and some sodas. We'd also brought a min grill to make food after the sun set. We had various snacks and stuff for making sandwiches when the time came. We gazed at the glistening blue ocean and everyone had a smile. It was almost worth being woken up by Matty before noon.
I slid off my cover up and I could feel stares from the guys.
"Hot damn, Zacky! You better hold on to this one, or I sure will." Brian said, eyeing me up and down with a wink. I rolled my eyes. The guys took off their shirts and ran for the ocean. Zacky scooped me into his arms and ran alongside the guys. I laughed as did everyone else. We were all having an awesome time. Brian and Zacky played catch with my body, and Matty and Johnny were bogie boarding. What felt like minutes but was actually hours went by. By the time we were all getting tired of the water, we got out and sat on the blankets. Zacky wrapped a towel around my shoulders and put his arm around me as I leaned my head onto his chest. His piercing green eyes sent me a smile.
We started a bonfire and all sat around it. We sat around for a few minutes, taking it all in with deep breaths and happy sighs. He'd all had a pretty long day, but the night was just beginning.
"I have an idea!" Jimmy shouted, raising his hand, everyone laughed.
"What's your idea, Jimbo?" Matty asked.
"Let's play spin the bottle!" Jimmy answered. We all looked around. We'd all cracked open a beer, but none of us had come close to finishing.
"Don't worry, I'll provide the bottle." Jimmy said, chugging down the remainder of half his beer. He placed the bottle on the ground and smiled.
"Perfect." He said.
"Alright, who's going first?" Matty asked. Brian eyed him and answered with a smirk,
"I think you should, just because you brought it up." Matty rolled his eyes and spun the bottle. It landed on Johnny,
"Come here hot stuff!" Johnny shouted. He grabbed Matty's face and smashed his lips against Mattys. We all cheered and whooped and laughed. Matty pulled away and wiped his mouth against his arm.
It was then Johnny's turn. He spun the bottle and it landed on Brian. Brian winked at Johnny and said,
"I've always loved you!" And they kissed.
Brian spun it and it landed on me. My eyes widened and my face turned red. Zacky's eyes widened to. I looked at him as if to ask, "Are you okay with this?" He nodded a little as if to respond with, "I guess.." I slowly inched my way towards Brian. It felt really awkward. Even though Zacky hadn't formally asked me, We were pretty much boyfriend and girlfriend. I closed my eyes, trying to make this be over as fast as possible. Brian grabbed my face and smashed our lips together. It was a surprisingly good kiss, but I could feel Zacky's stare. I pulled away after about three seconds and nestled myself back into Zacky. Luckily it was my turn to spin. I prayed to God that it wouldn't land on anyone but Zacky. I spun it and it landed on Brian. Brian said with a smirk,
"I think the world is trying to tell us something." I looked at Zacky, he looked pretty pissed.
"I'm not kissing you again." I said sternly. Brian's smirk disappeared instantly. Zacky looked at me, surprised but happy.
"Why not? Come on, it's just a game." Jimmy protested. I crossed my arms and said,
"No. I like Zacky, I'm not kissing anyone else." Zacky blushed and smiled at me. He kissed my cheek and started stroking my hair.
"Well, you guys aren't officially together, so you should stop your bitching and just kiss him." Johnny said. Zacky lifted up my face and said,
"Lucy, will you be my girlfriend?" I blushed and smiled. I couldn't even speak. I nodded and Zacky said,happiness clear in his voice
"There, now it's official. So stop your bitching and just play without us." Everyone rolled their eyes and continued. I didn't catch much of the remainder of the game, it seemed as though I'd looked up for a split second and the sun had gone down. I got lost in Zacky's piercing green eyes and we whispered sweet things into each other's ears for hours.
"you're beautiful." He'd said. I shook my head and playfully hit his shoulder. "you're beautiful and you know it." I couldn't stop blushing and smiling. He laughed and stroked my cheek. "you're so freaking cute," He whispered, "Why go out with someone like me?" He asked. My jaw dropped.
"Someone like you?" I asked. "Someone like Zacky Baker. Handsome, funny, perfect, adorable, and endless other amazing adjectives? Someone who's kisses intoxicate me every time they happen? Someone who I feel a genuine connection with? Gee, I don't know why I'd ever wanna date someone like you." I said, smiling at him and rolling my eyes. He looked at me, snakebites glistening in the moonlight. He just smiled at me, staring deep into my eyes. He was unable to find the words. When he could, he answered,
"You're amazing. I'm so glad I found you." And snuggled up with me using one of the blanket's we'd brought. We just snuggled in silence for a few minutes, and eventually I dosed off, comfortable in the protection of his arms.
