Chapter Sixty-Six
*Jimmy's POV
“Alright man, two down, two to go. Just make your apology as nice and sincere as the last and I think everything is going to end up being okay.” I said. After coming out of a room filled with forgiveness, I was feeling pretty confident walking into the next room. I walked in first, and just like last time, they were happy to see me, not so much about my guest.
“Why is he here?” Zacky asked immediately. He already sounded angry.
“Now, Zacky, please just listen to what Matty has to say. He wants to make things right.” I explained. Matty nodded and was about to speak, but Zacky cut him off.
“You could've killed her..” He trailed, looking at Lucy.
“Well you did kill my girlfriend, so consider yourself lucky.” Matty replied.
“Lucky?! You shot my best friend and stabbed my girlfriend all in one night and you want me to feel lucky?!” Zacky asked. Oh boy, this may take longer than I thought.
“She was a crazy bitch, Lucy is my fiance!” Zacky argued.
“Well maybe I wanted to make Bella my fiance!” Matty shouted, now holding his head down in sadness. There was a new silence. Matty added, “It was your idea man. Why? What awful, awful thing did I do to you that made you decide to convince everyone that this was a good idea? Is it because of all those times I rejected your ideas for songs? Or because I made Brian lead guitarist? I'm sorry about that man. I was just doing what I thought was best for the band. But that doesn't matter, beause this band isn't going to last much longer if we don't fix things. Oh! If this is about the time freshman year I told everyone you had a crush on Adelle Fitzpatrick, I'm sorry about that. Just, everything bad I've ever done that's made you upset in any way, I'm sorry. Do you think there's a chance we could start off with a clean slate?” Matty asked hopefully. Zacky sighed and replied,
“I'm sorry too man, for everything. I obviously don't think things through all the time. I mean look at me, I'm a complete dumbass.”
“But you're my dumbass.” Lucy quietly commented.
“Lucy...I'm so sorry. When I get angry, my brain shuts off and I do the first thing that comes to mind without even considering it.” Matty aplogized.
“It's okay I guess. At least I'm alive.” Lucy replied weakly. Zacky looked to her and said,
“And I'm so glad you are.” Lucy smiled.
“So whatdya say?” Matty asked, reaching out his hand. “Friends?” He asked hopefully. Zacky shook his head and replied,
“No, we're not friends. We've never been friends.” Matty was shocked.
“What..?” He asked.
“We're brothers, you loser.” Zacky replied, smiling. He embraced Matty. Matty laughed, I've never seen him so happy. Finally, everything is as it should be.
