*Lucy's POV*

"Ooh! Baby lookit this one!" I said, gesturing for Zacky to come to me. I pointed to the pug in the glass that was looking at me and he smiled.
"I think he likes you." He said. I smiled.
"I've always wanted a pug. Their faces are all smushed up and it's so adorable!" I cooed. Zacky laughed. Today we'd taken a trip to the local flea market. It's a huge building just across town with stores with everything from K-Cups to pets. This place is only open two days so it's super crowded. Zacky and I walked around some more and then got some frozen yogurt.
"You really loved that dog." Zacky said with a smile. I nodded enthusiastically.
"In case you couldn't tell, I'm a dog person." I said happily.
"Let's go get it than." Zacky said.
"Seriously?" I asked. "Won't Matty freak out?"
"Nah, he loves dogs. I'll just text him and promise we'll take care of it and all that stuff." I nodded and couldn't stop smiling. After we got the okay from Matty, we went back to the pet store. The pug was still there and jumped up on the glass when he saw me. I smiled as we walked inside. Zacky approached the store worker.
"Yeah, Hi.My girlfriend and I are interested in adopting that pug in the window." Zacky said, pointing to the window. The store worker smiled and nodded.
"Right this way, I'll take you two to the back so you can fill out the adoption forms." We followed her and I clutched Zacky's hand and smiled. We filled out all the papers and then the lady brought the dog to the back room to see how he'd act around us. He saw me and jumped up on my lap. I giggled and scratched his head. He licked Zacky's face and we both laughed.
"He really seems to like you two. I believe you two will give him a happy home. What are you going to name him?" She asked. I myself hadn't really thought about it, but Zacky seemed to have an idea.
"Let's call him Dave." He said.
"Dave?" I asked.
"Dave, like Dave and Busters. Our first date." He said with a familiar shy smile. I smiled wide and kissed him.
"It's perfect. But can we call him Davy?" I asked. Zacky smiled.
"Of course we can."
We bought lots of things for him in the store from which he came and brought him home. Many collars and leashes and treats and food. This dog was going to be the happiest on the planet.
We brought him inside of Matty's appartment, where Matty, Jimmy, and Bella were seated in the living room. Davy barked loud when he saw Bella. She backed up into Matty's arms, frightened.
"Ugh! Stupid dog." She said.
He wouldn't stop,so Zacky had to put him in our room. We all talked for a bit until Matty and Zacky went into the basement to play Call of Duty. Bella got up to go to the bathroom and Jimmy approached me.
"Ya know," He began. "They say dogs and babies are the best judges of character.."
