Something that annoys me about some fans

The ones who are self-righteous about being a fan of A7X.

I have one in particular that annoys me and I won't say who at the risk of a friend of that persons' reading this.

It seems like people that are the shittiest are the ones that get to meet them and other bands. I know I'm no saint but I know that I treat people better than they do. Idk...Waldo from a MN concert is a good example. He was an ass to me backstage at an A7X concert. Made it seem like he was the superior fan and has met them tons of times. Really bragging about it and making me feel like I was inferior to him because of that.

I actually agree with you. A7X are one of my favorite bands ever, and on top of loving their music, I have so much respect for the guys because of the things they do. I'm a US Navy veteran, and knowing that them - or Matt in particular- has always been supportive of the troops. I've read magazine articles about them doing USO shows for troops and saying how they deserve to be respected because of their sacrifices and stuff. So their support for the military people has given me reason to respect them so much.

Their music has also helped me through a lot of issues while I was in the Navy. I've suffered depression for 10+ years now, always turning to music to help me, and A7X are one of those bands. I'd been dying to see them live for years and years, finally getting that chance April of 2011 (unfortunately never getting to see them live with Jimmy, but I love Arin so that's beside the point)

Well the point I'm trying to make here is that it hurts me when people brag about meeting the guys. Call me jealous, I will openly admit to it, but probably the one thing I want more than anything else is to meet at least one of these guys just so I can tell them how much they actually mean to me. I'm confident at this stage in their career that it may never happen though, but of course, the first time I saw them live I tried waiting outside the venue but left two hours after the show (because I was shivering violently from the cold) and missed meeting Matt and Arin (forever regretting). They didn't even show until like 4 am because they were off the next day, but I still regret not waiting.

The fans I can't stand is the ones that don't respect privacy. I mean, yeah they are attractive and great musicians, but they have their own personal lives. Why does people care so much? I mean, knowing some stuff about them is awesome, but constantly leaking stuff and bagering their families is just messed up, in my opinion.

People should just be more respectful.

@syntastically_summer I totally agree with you. There are so many bad and hurting comments about the guys' girlfriends/wifes on the web. It's ridiculous! A real fan is happy and celebrating their happiness, not trying to ruin it.

What annoys me the most though are those fans squealing and fainting when the guys appear on stage or during a signing. Being all hysterical ... I don't know if it's just me. And don't get me wrong, I can understand this reaction when they/their music helped through a lot of bullshit but in my opinion you can show your gratitude in a more civil manner.

I know, right? I don't understand how some girls who are like 15, like them for their looks, and honestly thinks that they have a chance... Really? They all are happily married, leave them alone! Lol

But I do agree about what annoys you. I think the only time I was ever "hysterical" and that was only me tearing up a little bit was when I saw them live and they started playing So Far Away. The words M. Shadows said were just a massive tearjerker!

Well in all honesty, I'm not going to lie I did see the looks first before the music, but I love the music in general. I don't know, but Avenged Sevenfold just does it for me and the lyrics are so moving. Out of all the bands I've listened to in my whole 16 years of life, Avenged Sevenfold is just the one for me. I do have respect for them, how can I not. I do kind of lightly envy the lucky wives from time to time, but I understand that

one- ABSOLUTELY no chance in being with them (DUH! They are twice my age!)

and two- They are all HAPPY! If they are happy with whom they're with then who am I to judge? Clearly that spouse is that one for them, can't change nor deny that. Its meant to be, then its meant to be :)

And I just like to get to know the band and get a more in depth understanding of them like Birthdays, Spouse, Year band got togther, First album, When new album is coming out or whatever, I view it as beyond creepy and just weird if you have to know EVERY SINGLE THING about them! They have lives for their selves in their PERSONAL privacy! Just think: How would you feel if everyone was on your ass and knew where you lived, ate, what time you took a shit, slept, and other stuff. That's just fucking weird.

I REALLY hate when people do roleplay to the extreme, and start negativity and shit. No wonder only Zacky's the only public one! Its just crazy! Even M. Shadows has stated himself that people come up to his house and start shit, and that's just fucking rude.

I've never seen them live, so I don't know if I'll ever get "hysterical". Probably not, I would probably be more enthusiastic that I can actually see them live more than ever, but crying eh- maybe during So Far Away, Victim(Personal song that helped a lot for me) and Fiction. But fainting and shit. No. Just no. They dont want the extra, we dont want the extra pleas keep it to yourself. And people who brag about it are assholes. Just because you've seen them more doesn't mean shit, so you got the money to see them everytime they're near you, well lucky you! That certainly should NOT classify if your a fan or not! A true fan would accept other fans with open arms because they are all brung together by the same one band they all like!
