I walked inside to see that everyone was in the living room watching a movie. I was about to sneak up the stairs when Lacey called out to me from Jimmy's lap.

"Hey Coree, how was your date with Syn?" she asked, patting the spot next to them for me to sit.

I sat next to her and Jimmy and said, "It' was really nice Lace. He was a true gentleman and we had a lot of fun."

"Awe, Reena's in love with Brian," Johnny cooed from the recliner chair he was sitting in.

"I don't know about love just yet Johnny boy. But I do really like him," I admitted.

Zacky stayed quiet while Matt said, "We're glad that you're happy Coree. You're definitely a good choice for Synyster."

"Yeah, you two are like stallion ducks and water, you're perfect for each other," Jimmy said with a cheesy smile.

"Ya think so?" I asked.

"Definitely," Matt said with a genuine smile showing off his trade mark dimples.

I smiled at the thought of Brian and I being ‘perfect for each other’. I couldn't help but notice that Zacky had left the room. I got up and went out to the pool and patio area, and sure enough I found Zacky there smoking a cigarette.

"Hey Zacky," I said with a small smile.

"Oh, hi Coreena," Zacky said as he took another drag of his cigarette.

I winced a little at his use of my full first name and asked, "Can I have one?" gesturing towards his pack of cigs.

He nodded his head yes and handed me one along with his lighter. I lit up and took a long needed drag before speaking again.
"So what's eating you up?" I asked.

"What do you mean? Nothing's bothering me," Zacky answered, but I knew he was lying.

"Don't fuck with me Zacky. What's wrong?" I asked, annoyance seeping through my words. I hate when people lie to me.

Zacky sighed and said, "I like you Coree, but you don't like me. You're with Syn, so that means that my chances with you are slim. That's what's wrong."

Whoa. Holy shit I did not see that one coming. I mean, on one hand I really do like Brian, but at the same token, I do kinda have a thing for Zacky. Oh, why do things have to be so damn complicated?

"Zacky, yes it's true that I'm with Syn and that I really like him, but I also have some sort of feelings for you too. Let me give Synyster a chance and if things don't work out between us, then I'll give you a chance, okay?" said before taking a long needed drag of my cigarette.

Zacky smiled at my words and said, "Okay, that's fair. I promise to not try anything either. I wish you and Brian the best, after all, he's my best friend, and I don't want to fuck up our new friendship either."

"Thanks for understanding Zacky," I said while putting out my cigarette. I went inside with Zacky following behind me. We got to the living room to see that no one were to be found.

"Well, I guess we're the only two left," I said as I flopped onto the couch.

"Well, actually, I have to go. I need to let Ichabod out and I need to get some sleep," Zacky said with a yawn.

"Okay, see ya later Zacky," I called out as he headed for the door.

"See you later Ree Ree," Zacky called back as he went out the door.

I sighed and went up the stairs to my room. I changed into some more comfortable clothes and I climbed into my bed and soon drifted off to sleep.

I woke up around 3am to hear tapping on my window and I turned on my lamp and walked over to the window to see what was up. I looked out and saw that Synyster was outside throwing pebbles at my window. I smiled and opened it and he smiled when he saw me.

"What the fuck are you doing Synyster?" I asked in a hushed tone.

"I wanted to see you! I couldn't wait till tomorrow, let me in," he called out in the same tone.

I sighed and signaled for him to go around to the back on the patio so that I could let him in.

I rushed as quietly as possible down the stairs and went to the sliding glass door to let him in. Brian greeted me with a kiss and I returned the favor. I led him up the stairs to my room, thinking to myself this can't be happening.
