Baby Don't Cry

We have gone through good and bad times.

You know what, that Christmas became the best Christmas I had ever had in my entire life. After peeing on the pregnancy test and waiting patiently for a few minutes, a small little pink plus sign appeared on it which meant that I was, indeed, pregnant. Not to get too excited, though, the test wasn't really that reliable.

But just seeing the plus sign on it made me nearly shit my pants. I was pregnant, holy hell!

I screamed a little and ran out of the toilet. I saw Brian who was standing in the doorway with a smile on his face. There was a look on his face that said, ”Didn't I tell you so?”

”We did it!” I screamed and ran to hug him.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me up, spinning me around a few times before finally putting me down. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him into a big kiss.

”How did you know?” I whispered against his lips before pulling away and taking hold of his face.

”Well I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for my mom. She said that you looked like you were pregnant. Like it was written all over your body and face,” he told me.

”Yeah, but... Have I really gotten chubbier?” I asked and furrowed my eyebrows.

”Well... Do you want me to answer honestly?”

”Well... No,” I shook my head, ”But what's important is that we are going to have a baby!”

”I know. This is incredible,” he said and flashed another wide smile. I pulled him into another big kiss before wrapping him into a very tight hug.

”This is the best day ever,” I murmured against his chest. He laughed and agreed.

For the rest of the day we did nothing but lay on the couch and watch christmas movies on TV and drink hot chocolate. It had been an amazing day and we had both relaxed a lot. Brian hadn't been glued to his phone and I hadn't worried about having a baby all day because, yes, I was finally going to get one and there was nothing better than knowing that.

Well, actually, we did go somewhere that night. We didn't just stay inside. Brian had promised his parents that we would go and visit them later that day so as it started to get dark outside, I changed into more appropriate clothes and brushed my hair and put on some makeup. I put on my new watch, the present I had received from my husband, and noticed that Brian had his own (and very much alike) watch on, too.

”These are really nice, really,” I said and looked at our watches for a moment.

”I know. I wouldn't have bought them if they weren't,” he said with a grin.

I pulled on my coat before we stepped outside. I locked the front door before following Brian to his car. I was about to get in when I noticed that he had a new car. My eyes flew wide open and I took a step back, looking at the beautiful black car in front of my eyes. His old car had been really nice but the new one... The new one looked absolutely beautiful.

”Brian!” I exclaimed finally, ”Did you buy a new car? Why?”

”I needed a bigger one,” he told me, ”Now, get in.” I did as told and sat in.

”Why did you need a bigger one?” I asked and watched as he started driving.

”Well we're going to have a bunch of kids now, aren't we?” he said and flashed a quick smile. I returned the smile and let him focus on driving.

We got to Brian's parents house and rang the doorbell a few times before his mother came to open the door. Her face lit up and she pulled us into a hug.

”Come in,” she said and pushed us in. She led us into the kitchen. On our way there I saw Brian's dad who had fallen asleep on the couch with the television still on.

We sat down around the table and Mrs. Haner offered us drinks.

”Sophia can't drink,” Brian told her.

She looked confused for a moment but then she realized what that meant. A wide smile spread across her face and she let out an excited scream.

”I'm going to be a grandmother!” she exclaimed, ”Congratulations, both of you!”

”Thanks,” I said with a wide smile.

To be honest, I didn't think I could stop smiling for a long time. It was truly the happiest day of my life.

”Are you excited to be a father, Brian?” she asked.

”Yes. Really fucking excited,” he admitted.

I rested my hand on his thigh and squeezed it gently, letting him know that I appreciated his support.

”You're going to have to watch your language when there's a child in the house,” she said. Brian laughed.

”But, seriously, I'm sure that you two will be great parents,” she said.

She went to the fridge and took out a bottle of water and another bottle of beer. She handed the beer to Brian and gave me the water. Then she sat down and looked at the both of us with a smile.

”So, how has your Christmas been?” I asked her. She shrugged.

”We went to see some of our friends and some family,” she said, ”And that's it.”

”Did you get presents?”

”Not many, no,” she shook her head, ”I've become so old that I don't need anything anymore. I already have everything. Well, except for grandchildren but you've taken care of that, now, too. Well? How has your day been?”

”This is the best Christmas I've ever had,” I admitted with a smile.

”Well it was about time, too. You've been wanting a child so badly for so long,” she said.

Brian and I said goodbyes to his mother when it started to get really late. We drove back home and Brian stayed outside to have a cigarette while I went upstairs and changed into my pajamas. I turned on the television in our bedroom and lit some candles. I turned off the lights and got in bed. I buried myself under the blankets and got really comfortable. And then I waited for my husband to join me which didn't happen anytime soon.

I had fallen asleep with the TV on as I'd waited for Brian to come upstairs. I woke up when he finally did, which was about two hours later, and watched as he turned off the television and put out the candles.

”Where were you?” I whispered. He flinched, obviously not knowing I was awake, before he turned to look at me.

”I went to help Jimmy home,” he told me. He started pulling his jeans off.

”Why did he need help?”

”He was pretty drunk. He was at the bar.”

”Is he alright?”

”He's going to be just fine. He was really happy for us, for having a kid, finally,” Brian said. He flashed me a quick smile before disappearing into the bathroom.

I closed my eyes again and drifted back to sleep, only to be woken up by Brian a few minutes later. I felt his arms around me as he snuggled closer to me after joining me in bed. His hands felt cold against my bare skin under my shirt and I shivered. His wet hair brushed against my skin, apparently he had taken a shower.

”I love you.” His soft voice rang in my ear for a long time and a smile found its way to my lips. I felt him press his lips against my cheek and kiss it for a moment.

As we laid there, together and happy, I couldn't help but feel bad about myself. I felt bad because of the way I had acted. I had treated Brian wrong and he most definitely hadn't deserved it. I had thought that I would never get pregnant which had turned me into a proper bitch. It had made me something I definitely wasn't, and I knew I had to apologize for the way I had acted for months. If there was any reason for that, it was that I had been in a very dark place in my life. Never had I ever before felt so low and miserable and honestly, I didn't ever want to go back to that. I believed I deserved to be happy and not miserable.

But now, for the first time in months, I felt like things were okay. I felt like things were finally going my way and I could focus on being happy again. It was Christmas, I had the best husband in the whole wide world and a baby on its way. I didn't think it could get any better than that and that, if anything, was enough for me. I was finally happy with what I had.

You made me cry!:(:(:(
I loved the story, right from the first chapter. Sofia and Brian's first time, them separating, Brian marrying Michelle, Jimmy having feelings for Sophia, Sophia falling for Brian, Brian getting a divorce and marrying Sophia, the couple losing their child, and finally separating.

Loved it! But ending was really sad:(

I don't think I will, it's been such a long time since I wrote this and getting back to it seems a bit hard to be honest. Sorry! :-(
