Baby Don't Cry

You're the one and in you I confide.

I woke up on one Friday morning with a big smile on my face. I kept smiling as I showered and ate breakfast and I even smiled when I had to clean up the whole house. Why was I smiling so much? Because it was going to be an amazing day.

That day was my birthday which already made it a very good day. I was turning 26 and, even if I hated getting older, I was happy to celebrate my birthday because it was my day and my day only. Everybody loved birthdays.

What made the day even better was that Brian and I had been together for exactly six months on that day. I knew it wasn't that much but it was really something. I mean, I thought that we were a great couple. Brian had gone through with his divorce with Michelle a few weeks earlier and life was just great. Our relationship was really amazing and I had my head in the clouds.

Brian and the rest of Avenged Sevenfold had been on tour for a month, and they would finally arrive home that day. So not only was it my birthday and we had been dating for six months, but I would also get to see my handsome boyfriend for the first time in weeks. I could barely wait, and that was exactly why there had been a smile on my face for the whole day.

As it was my birthday, I went out to a restaurant to have lunch with my family. Brian wouldn't be home until later that afternoon so I had some time to kill. After the lunch I went shopping and bought something very embarrassing. I bought some very sexy underwear that were totally not my style at all but I thought Brian would like them. I would most definitely feel like an ass once I had them on but I figured that one time wouldn't hurt anybody.

When I got home, there was a surprise for me. A wide smile found its way to my lips when I saw Brian's car in front of the house. I parked my car and got out of it before making my way to the front door with my shopping bags. I got in with my keys and put everything down from my hands. I started wandering to the living room when I heard the sound of the television.

I saw Brian laying over the couch with a beer in his hand. His eyes were tightly focused on the TV screen and for a moment there he didn't even notice me.

”Hey,” I said and watched as his head turned to side. He looked at me and started smiling.

”Hey birthday girl,” he murmured and got up from the couch.

He set the bottle of beer on the sofa table. He started walking to me and when he reached me, it took him no time to pull me into his arms. I buried my face into his warm chest and closed my eyes, enjoying the moment. There was no place I would've rather been than right there in his arms.

When I finally lifted my head up, I only did it so that I could kiss him. We kissed for a long time.

”Happy birthday,” he murmured against my lips. I started smiling widely and giggled.

”I missed you,” I told him, ”You have no idea how happy I am that you're finally here.”

”I wouldn't have missed your birthday,” he said, ”Or our six month anniversary!”

”Aww, babe!” I exclaimed and pulled him into another kiss.

He laughed into my mouth before finally pulling his body away from mine.

”So,” he started as he went back to the couch and sat down, ”I have a little something planned for tonight.”

”You do? Really?” I got really excited. Nobody ever did anything special for me.

”Yes. But it's a surprise.”

”I'm so excited,” I admitted. He laughed and focused on the television again.

When it started to get late and dark outside, Brian started to get really weird. He seemed to be nervous and tense. He told me to go put on something nice and get ready for the night and I did as told. I put on some makeup and put on the sexy but embarrassing underwear I had bought earlier. I pulled on a black dress and then walked downstairs to where Brian was. He took one look at me and then shook his head.

”You're going to freeze to death, babe,” he told me, ”Put something else on.”

”Like what? Are we going outside?” I asked and furrowed my eyebrows, ”I thought this looked nice.”

”We're going outside,” he nodded.

”Can't I just put a coat on, then?”

”Yes, yes, now hurry up,” he said. I snorted and went to look for my coat.

After I had my coat on, Brian grabbed my hand and pulled me out to the backyard. He took off his shoes and told me to do the same. I started to wonder what was going on. It got weirder every second.

I, without understanding why, took off my shoes anyway and followed Brian to the beach. To my surprise he started leading me to our spot.

Once we got there, to our special little spot, he turned to look at me. He was breathing heavily and the cold breeze was moving his hair. I looked up at his face before noticing how beautiful it was outside. The sky was dark and I could only see a few stars. The sound of the ocean was very relaxing and the smell of the salty water felt familiar. It felt like home.

”Sophia, I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday,” he murmured to me. His voice was quiet but extremely soft and relaxed. He didn't seem nervous anymore.

He lifted his hand up and touched my cheek gently with his fingers.

”Did we have to come outside for that?” I whispered with a smile. He laughed.

”No, not for that,” he told me, ”I had something else in my mind.”

”Uh huh?”

”There's something I want to tell you. I really love you, Sophia.”

”I already knew that.”

”No, but I really love you. There's nobody here I would love more than you. I don't ever want to lose you and I hope you feel the same about me. You've completely changed my world. You've proved me that we're meant to be together. I know you've always told me that but now I can really see it. You were meant for me, Sophia,” he told me.

He kept looking right into my eyes the whole time as he spoke. He had told me such beautiful words that I could barely keep the tears inside.

”And there's just something I wanted to ask,” he told me.

I thought I was going to pass out. It was my birthday, our six month anniversary, we were out on the beach on our spot, the sky was dark and there were stars – it was such a romantic moment and now he was going to propose to me, too? Could it get any better?

I watched as he pulled a small, blue box out of his pocket. I had seen the box before but I had never actually seen the ring. I was getting beyond excited and emotional.

”I'd get down on one knee but I don't want my jeans to get all sandy,” he murmured with a laugh.

So instead he stepped a lot closer to me and pulled me into his arms. I watched as he opened the small box and what was inside of it surprised me. It was a very beautiful diamond ring. It looked expensive and knowing Brian it probably was. But what mattered was that it was very, very beautiful.

”Sophia,” he started after clearing his throat, ”Will you do me the honour of being my wife? Will you marry me?”

You made me cry!:(:(:(
I loved the story, right from the first chapter. Sofia and Brian's first time, them separating, Brian marrying Michelle, Jimmy having feelings for Sophia, Sophia falling for Brian, Brian getting a divorce and marrying Sophia, the couple losing their child, and finally separating.

Loved it! But ending was really sad:(

I don't think I will, it's been such a long time since I wrote this and getting back to it seems a bit hard to be honest. Sorry! :-(
