Eternal Blossom

The Streak

“Matt, with you leaving in the morning for Fiji, it would be a lot easier for me if you just crashed at mine and Brian’s house so I don’t have to get up earlier than necessary. Pack your bag, and lets get going already,” Aiyana informed him as she curled up on his couch with her feet tucked under her.

“And I told you that a vacation for one is a shitty present, Aiyana. Although I appreciate it, I really feel like ya’ll are just trying to get rid of me for a week,” he chuckled with his arms folded over his chest.

“That’s it. That’s exactly it. I want you to leave so that I have full reign of your home. I plan on putting sticky substances on all of the counters, and dying your furry white rug pink. You found me out. Now please, for the love of all that is fucking holy, go pack your damn bag.”

Aiyana watched as Matt turned with a grumble and head for his bedroom where he could pack his bag. She and Brian had done a great job at not telling him that his present would be waiting on him in his hotel room in Fiji, but the anticipation was killing her. She knew that he’d be appreciative once he found out the reason for the trip, but right now the way he was not very thankful for at least the supposed thought was enough to ruffle her feathers.

Within half an hour, Matt was walking back downstairs with his duffle bag slung over his shoulder. Once he was in the room with her, she stood with a wide smile on her face. She was up to something, and he knew it. However, he couldn’t put his finger on what it was.

“Alright, I’m ready to go,” Matt grunted, not stopping on his way to the door.

“Oh good. We order pizza on the way. I challenge you to Call of Duty when we get home,” Aiyana said in a sing song voice as she skipped after him, completely satisfied with herself.

“I’ve had a lot of time to play here lately, Deer. This time I’m kicking your ass,” he told her, a grin finally settling on his lips.

“In your dreams, big guy. When I win, you have to streak around the block in defeat,” Aiyana challenged while she slid into the driver’s seat.

Matt raised an eyebrow at her, his dimples creasing his cheeks as he contemplated her challenge. It wouldn’t be the first time that Matt had gone streaking, albeit, the first time since Jimmy had passed. Buckling his seat belt, the cogs in his head began to turn as for when he won what her punishment would be.

As Aiyana pulled into the garage, Matt looked over at her with a mischievous chuckle, “And when I win, you have to come with me to Fiji. A trip for one is no fun.”

Jeep in park, Aiyana killed the motor and cast a wary eye over at her friend, her brain doing double time as to why on earth she would place such high stakes on a game of Call of Duty. She knew that Matt was going down in a blazing inferno of defeat, but she still had a niggle of doubt in the back of her mind. If he managed to win, how would she back out of stakes like that and not look like a coward or someone with something to hide?

“Talk Brian into it, and you have a deal, Sanders,” she responded with spunk as she entered the living room. If you aren’t positive about something, you might as well fake it, or let your man do the dirty work, she figured.

“Talk Brian into what,” came the smooth voice of her boyfriend from the direction of the couch.

“Into allowing me to steal your girlfriend to Fiji with me when I kick her ass at Call of Duty. She assumes that she will kick mine and thereby make me streak around the block, but she’s very much mistaken in her skills,” Matt answered, dropping his bag beside the couch.

“Actually, you can’t steal her anywhere. The other part of your present is going to be in Fiji waiting on you, and as much humor as I would get out of watching her shut your ass down, I decline. Pick a different mythical prize, bro,” Brian told him with a chuckle.

Matt huffed and sat on the couch as he began to think of another punishment for her inevitable loss, leaving her to answer the door in order to retrieve the pizzas. Brian watched her walk off with a grin, his eyes staying on the curves of her ass.

“If you got me a hooker for my birthday to go to Fiji with me, I’m going to kick your ass, Gates,” Matt spoke up as he began to get the system up and running for their game.

“You’ll be singing our praises once you get there. You two have fun. I’ve got a song stuck in my head I need to get on paper,” Brian stated with a smirk, snagging a box of pizza and a kiss from his girlfriend on his way up the stairs.

“Ran my man off, I see,” Aiyana laughed before setting the remaining pizza on the table.

“Nah, he ran himself off. When you lose, you get to streak,” Matt tossed her a remote once she was curled up, and got their campaign started.

Pizza all but forgotten as they began a battle, Brian’s beautiful melody floated down the stairs to their ears, perfectly wrapping up the comfortable scene of two great friends enjoying one another’s company in a friendly but fierce attempt at annihilation.

An hour later, Aiyana placed her remote on the table before grabbing a slice of pizza. Dancing in her seat as the flavors hit her palate; she just hoped that Matt would let her off the hook. Skinny dipping she had done, but considering that she ran like a duck rather than a Baywatch lifeguard, she hoped that he wouldn’t hold her to the challenge.

“Are you sure you want to run on a full stomach,” Matt chuckled mockingly, heading up the stairs to get Brian so that he could witness the humiliation of the gorgeous brunette.

Aiyana dropped her piece of pizza back into the box, and grumbled before standing up. Her hands hesitated at the hem of her shirt before with a deep breath she accepted defeat. By the time that the guys had made it down stairs, she was in her underwear with an arm over her chest in a vague attempt at modesty.

Brian let a low wolf whistle go as she came into view before his eyes dropped to her underwear. With an arched eyebrow and a large smirk, he shook his head.

“Streaking means no clothes, dear. You know the way around the block. Take a left at the road, second star to the right, and straight on until morning,” Brian told her with a salacious wiggle of his eyebrows.

Matt walked to the door and held it open for her like a gentleman would, sweeping his muscular arm out into the night with a deep chuckle. Brian watched her panties hit the floor before she held her head high and sashayed past them out the front door. Her confidence waned briefly, and she quickly swung her head from side to side to see if anyone was out before darting off down the street on her run of defeat.

Matt and Brian watched her run off, both laughing heartily. Matt leaned against the door frame as she rounded the corner out of view. Brian walked up to their bedroom to grab her robe for her before returning to the porch to wait for her.

“What’s the other half of my present,” Matt asked as nonchalantly as possible, hoping to disarm Brian with the question.

“Aiyana would kill me if I ruined her surprise. She worked hard on making this happen. Nice try though, dude,” Brian chuckled.

“Damnit, Brian, you know I don’t do surprises well. I need a plan and a course of action. Otherwise, I feel like I’m drifting at sea,” Matt groaned, feeling a spike of anxiety stab him in the chest.

“Aiya wouldn’t let you drift, Matt. She’s got it all planned. Just have faith in her,” was the only reply as Brian spotted his girlfriend sprinting across the lawn.

Before either of them could do more than let out a few whistles and whoops of laughter, Aiyana darted into the house gasping for breath. The moment she was inside, Brian wrapped his arms and her robe around her, kissing her temple.

“I don’t think I enjoy letting anyone else see what’s mine,” Brian husked out gruffly in her ear. Although he’d found the situation humorous, he hadn’t believed that she’d go through with it.
Her bravado made him chuckle, but knowing that Matt had been watching her naked form sprint across the lawn caused little spikes of possession and jealousy to course through his veins like a hot virus.

Aiyana tied the robe around her waist tightly and bent over, dragging oxygen into her lungs. She was a woman with joint issues that smoked a lot of pot. Running was definitely out of her wheel house, and her lungs were crying out in anger at her for making her exert themselves. With a nod, she made her way into the kitchen for a glass of water and her usual medications.

“We aren’t in our twenties anymore, Aiyana,” Matt grinned at her, taunting from the doorway.
“I think Brian is saying it’s time for us to grow up and stop acting like kids who streak when we lose a bet.”

“I think you can go fuck yourself, Matt,” Aiyana managed to get out as her breathing regulated itself again. “I’m going to go get a shower and go to bed. You have an early flight, and I think Brian wants to have a talk about my inappropriate behavior.”

Brian laughed and pinched her ass as they made their way up the stairs. He didn’t mind her being brash, but her displaying her amazing curves for the entire block and Matt without an inch of fabric covering her tanned skin was a bit much for his tastes. He planned on reminding her just who the only appropriate viewing audience really was.

“Night guys,” Matt laughed, waving as the couple ascended the stairs. Thinking for a moment as he put up the gaming equipment, he realized that any feelings he might have held before for Aiyana were completely gone. Although he’d been a man and enjoyed the sight, he hadn’t lusted after her or found the instance as any more than a friend doing something hilarious. Nodding to himself at his self-revelation, Matt walked into a guest room and laid down on the bed.

Matt thought back to the reason he wasn't interested in Aiyana at all, and his mind only flashed him pictures of Darcy. With a grin, he dialed her number, waiting on the fiery Scottish lass to pick up on the other end.

Notes

Ever have a chapter you know is going to go one way, but it ends up taking a life of it's own and things go left? Yep. That happened.
