Eternal Blossom

Silverado

“Quit whining. I wanted a nap, but a ride was promised, so get on the back so I can take you to your beautiful bike, sassy pants,” Aiyana said as she straddled her Harley.

Brian grumbled, and did the math in his head on how fast they would get to his house. After a little over 10 minutes, and they’d be pulling into his garage if she did the speed limit. Sighing resignedly he hopped onto the back of her bike.

He smiled broadly when the beast roared to life between his thighs, and watched her turn on the street lights. Shaking his head at how girly she had made it, she pulled out of the driveway, and took off for his house. Although tempted to take a detour so he’d have to ride with her longer, she actually went straight to his house.

Once at his house, Brian clambered off the back of her bike, looking around to make sure nobody had caught him riding bitch. With a deep sigh of relief, he made his way to his own garage where he pulled out his single seat black Harley with chrome handle bars that came back to him over the tank. She was beautiful, and much less conspicuous than his custom made ‘SYN’ bike that was done by American Choppers.

Aiyana watched him roll out of the garage, and popped her kickstand down before walking over to him and checking out his bike. She’d seen the custom before, but she’d never seen this one. It was a nice bike, and she let him know that before asking where they were heading.

“I thought we’d take a nice ride considering the sun is about to be setting and then when it goes down we find some random hole in the wall type place wherever we end up and eat there,” he replied with a grin.

It was spontaneous and Aiyana instantly loved the idea. She placed a quick kiss on his cheek before redoing her braid tighter as she strolled back to her own beast. Sliding a leg over the leather seat, she stood the bike up and removed the kick stand before starting it easily.

“Let’s gas up and then head where the wind takes us,” she yelled over the roar of the bikes.

Brian nodded his understanding and led the way to the nearest gas station. The bikes were awesome to ride, but there was something to be said about the small amount of gas that they could carry. Fill ups were a constant and necessary evil.

As he slid off his bike, he looked behind himself to see her pulling up at the pump behind him. They filled their bikes, and he walked over to her before they had the chance to leave again.

“Baby, why don’t you lead? I’ve always had a thing for watching you from behind,” he chuckled, dodging her hand as she went to swat his arm.

Aiyana just laughed when she missed him, and slid a leg back over her bike as she spoke,
“Give me a kiss, and I’ll lead you on my favorite ride.”

Brian smiled over at her and wiggled his eyebrows before placing a tender kiss on her lips.
She watched him walk back to his bike and stand it up before she put hers into gear and putted around him, leading him on her favorite short ride by far.

As they made their way towards Silverado, they enjoyed watching the shore disappear behind them as the sun slowly began it’s descent. Brian realized they were heading towards a few different canyons that he hadn’t been to in many years. Smiling to himself, he kept an eye on her, and the way she fully relaxed on her bike.

After a 35 minute ride, Aiyana pulled her bike into a small scenic area right off the road, and dismounted. Waiting for Brian to do the same, she stood and enjoyed the view. The rocky mountains that was sparsly coated in trees always made her smile. She’d seen all kinds of mountains, and these were not her favorites, but they were a part of home to her.

Brian parked beside her and slid off his own Harley before making his way over to her. He made sure to speak as he approached so she didn’t hit him in surprise, and then wrapped his arms around her from behind.

“That’s a nice view. I haven’t been out this way since I was a kid,” he told her quietly.
Aiyana smiled to herself, and leaned her head back against his shoulder, enjoying the moment and the view.

After a few minutes, she turned in his arms and looked up at him questioningly.

“Have you ever eaten at Silverado Café,” she asked, a little excited.

He shook his head no, not taking his eyes off of the view. It’d been a while since he’d taken in the scenery of California and not taken it for granted. Being here with Aiyana, he couldn’t help but realize that very thought until Aiyana ran a hand up and rested it on the side of his neck to gain his attention.

“Well, then, I say we go eat, and maybe one day we can come spend the day up here so we can go look at the waterfalls,” she smiled up at him.

Brian chuckled, and kissed her softly. As he turned away from her, he pinched her bottom and took off for the bikes.

“Lets see how the food is first,” he laughed.

Within a few more minutes they were pulling into the Silverado Café and making their way inside. Luckily, they were able to seat themselves, and he picked a booth for them that was near the back so that he was less likely to be recognized.

Sitting with his back to the other patrons, he pulled her down into the booth beside him, and draped his arm over her shoulders.

“What do you recommend, babe?”

“Their burgers are good, but I think I’m going with a hamburger steak today. Next time, you’ve got to try their juevos rancheros. So good, but they only have them during breakfast,” she responded, not even looking at the menu.

Brian looked at her and nodded, trusting her judgement. He set his menu aside, and ordered a beer for each of them when the waitress showed up before letting Aiyana order both of them dinner since she knew the menu better.

Leaning into his side while they waited for their food, she rest her hand on his thigh with a mild yawn.

“What’s this,” he teased, “tired? You?”

Aiyana laughed, and squeezed his thigh affectionately, “Well, someone wore me out with four rounds today.”

Brian tilted his head back and laughed loudly, not able to help it when she put it so bluntly. Aiyana watched him, smiling like a fool as she watched his eyes close with his mirth, and his already prominent cheekbones jut farther with his big smile.

“So, what do you have planned the rest of the week,” he asked as the waitress brought them their beers in bottles.

Aiyana took a drink as she thought about everything she had to get done before the bar b que at her dad’s that Saturday.

“I need to finish up a digital piece that I’ve been working on, and meet with the buyer for my kinkthology to give him the pieces since the money has been wired into my account already,” she said thoughtfully.

“Wait a minute. You sold them already,” he asked, sounding surprised.

“Yep. As soon as I put them up on my site, a few people contacted me, and one offered me more than I was asking so that he knew he would get them. Apparently, they are going in some type of play room he has. I didn’t need the essay he wrote, but I wasn’t going to turn down the extra ten thousand per canvas,” she responded as if it was nothing.

Brian’s eyebrows rose, and he leaned away from her to look at her face as he asked his next question.

“How much were you asking?”

“Thirty thousand for the lot,” she replied with a shrug.

Brian looked a bit shocked that she'd made sixty thousand from three paintings she'd completed in two weeks, but luckily their food arrived before he could ask anything further. The moment the waitress walked away, he took a drink from his beer, and couldn’t resist the next statement that tumbled from his lips.

“When you go to deliver, I’m going with you. If he wrote you an entire essay and paid you that kind of money, I’d feel better about you going if I was with you just in case he tries to tie you up and lock you in that play room,” he said plainly.

Aiyana had begun to cut up her hamburger steak, but paused when he made the kidnapping comment. Looking at him curiously, she tilted her head a little to the side.

“Brian, you do realize that’s my normal going price for a piece, right? I’m in no way strapped for cash. Him offering to pay that was purely because I’ve made a name for myself,” she responded as if she was trying to rationalize to a moody teenager.

“Woah, babe. I know you’ve made a name for yourself. I’ve seen your work. You’re great, but I would rather you be safe than locked in someone’s play room that isn’t mine,” he told her with a smirk.

Aiyana laughed, and shrugged. He was being kind and was just worried about her well-being, so she’d let him go. There was no harm in him coming along, after all.

“Alright, but now you’ve got me wondering what you mean about your play room. I thought I’d seen all the rooms in your house,” she teased him as she finished cutting up her meal.

Brian shrugged cryptically and began to eat his own food. He had no such play room, but he was going to enjoy teasing her for as long as he could.

Aiyana began to eat, keeping an eye on Brian. She was fairly certain he was full of shit and just messing with her, so she decided to test her theory.

“Well, I guess that means I can come clean about my own play room,” she told him, evidently elated, “when we get back to my place I’ll show you. It’s behind all those canvas in my art room!”

Brian’s eyes shot to her, slight worry residing in them, and he swallowed his bite of burger quickly. She was so excited, he thought. He took a quick drink of beer, and nearly choked on it when she winked at him suggestively.

As soon as he nearly choked, she lost it laughing. There was no way she could continue to hold it together with how flustered he so clearly was at that moment. Brian saw her start laughing and realized she’d been fucking with him. Narrowing his eyes on her, he put down his utensils.

“Oh, you’re going to catch hell for that,” said the guitarist before taking a long drink from his beer.

Aiyana smiled at him and shrugged, not worried in the least by his threat, and continued to eat. When Brian finally picked his own burger up again, he ate for a little while in silence before gesturing at her with a long finger.

“Just for that, I’m sleeping at my own house tonight,” he chuckled.

Aiyana pouted at him adorably and pushed her plate away as soon as she was finished. He smirked and finished the last bite of his burger, not falling for her pouting.

“But Bri, I sleep better when you’re with me,” she groaned.

It was Brian’s turn to shrug and he replied with one brow arched haughtily, “should have thought about that before you dismissed my threat.”

She just laughed and leaned over, placing her head on his shoulder for a moment to tell him quietly, “It’s dark out. We should probably head back anyways. I’ve got some work that I’ve got to get done tomorrow, and you promise Matt you’d come work on a few songs.”

“Alright, but I’m following you back to make sure you get home safe,” he conceded.

Aiyana nodded and stood up, holding her hand out to him as she waited for him to join her. Brian smiled evily and reached past her outstretched hand, snagging the bill that the waitress who had slid up behind Aiyana was holding out.

“Guess I did win the next bill,” he chuckled.

His date groaned, having totally forgotten about their bill war with how late it was getting. She followed him up to the counter where he paid for the meal while she grumbled about how payback was a bitch.

Outside, they walked to the bikes where Brian leaned over and kissed her softly, pulling her into his arms between the motorcycles. Aiyana’s arms instantly wrapped around his neck while she slid her tongue into his mouth, deepening the kiss as she kissed him with abandon.

When they finally parted, Brian smiled, and grabbed her ass in both hands. “I’ll call you
tomorrow.”

Aiyana laughed and kissed him once more before turning away to get onto her own bike.

Notes

A good ride at sunset is always wonderful.
If you ever have the chance, I greatly encourage it.
