Beast and the Harlot

002.

Two weeks later at the funeral
I was standing in front of my mirror ice blue eyes stared back at me, this wasn’t how I wanted to spend my day, I was supposed to be running around causing trouble for the police with Haylee and the guys giving our parents heart attacks every time a police car came round the corner, but instead I was going to her funeral.
My hair was in a messy bun and I was standing in a knee length black dress and black pumps.
I couldn’t stop staring at myself standing the reflection I was seeing it was just horrible my once shiny hair was dull, my smile as Haylee described full of life smile had deserted me and my once alight eyes were dimmed. So I just stood there staring at myself hating me for everything I did my fists curled and I hit the mirror it broke into three pieces and some shards in my hand then I went to my closet pulled out all my clothes and splayed them all over my room then tipped over my bookcase and then stripped it and chucked the blankets around and pulled my pillows apart I was about to break my computer with a bat when sets of hands wrapped around my waist.
I looked around and saw Gerard, Mikey and Frankie
“Now sugar that’s not the best idea is it?” Gerard asked
I wrapped myself in him and held onto his shirt as the floods that I had held back for the last two weeks let themselves go,
“Come one lets get you going shall we” Mikey stated
I nodded walking downstairs with them into the lounge room where everyone was waiting for me.
“The balloon company called they have left the balloons there, I just wanted to know why balloons Madeline?” Annie asked me
“Haylee always said that if she was to ever to die before me when they were loading her casket in she wanted a dozen black balloons let into the sky, and I promised her I would do it” I answered
She nodded “Okay everyone to the cars” She replied sadly.
Fifteen minutes later we were at the church, I got out and walked in the seats closet to the aisle were pinned with black roses and a photo of Haylee, I sat in my seat I was soon followed by Gerard and the boys, my mum and Annie.
“Death is a horrible thing but when it is taken by oneself then the sadness is heightened by why? We are here for the Funeral of Haylee Rowling friend and daughter, you shall forever be missed.” The priest said.
I got up and walked to the microphone
“How can you see into my eyes like open doors? She once asked me well the answers simple I was her best fucking friend I could read her like an open book but this chapter she held from me, I will never know why she did it just I know it was a battle that she fought and lost.
Haylee babe you’re my best friend part of like breathing now half of me is left you brought me to life and you will always be on my heart like a tattoo.
She was a fighter, a survivor, a misfit, a type of chicka who didn’t take no shit from anybody. She was the type of friend who would help you up and then trip you the fuck back down. We went through out first crushes, first time getting drunk, first times, first piercing’s and tattoos and first time of being arrested. She will always be with us because a person is only truly dead when they are forgotten. You went to a place where I can’t follow but one day I will I love you baby and always and forever.
So Haylee babe, every step I take, every move I make, every breathe I take, every sound I make, every single day, every time I pray I’ll be missing you.” I said
I went and sat back down Gee rubbed my back as more tears slide down my face I saw the principal get up I rolled my eyes halfway through his speech I got up and screamed “You didn’t know her stop fucking lying.” Then ran out of the church I kept running until I got home I knew they didn’t care about her hell they didn’t give two squirts of piss about her they were just protecting themselves.
