Don't Fall to Far From Where You Are
Pure Luxe
Walking around the club, Pure Luxe, in my pencil leather skirt and white leather jacket over a black fitted laced bodysuit. I stepped behind the bar to assist the young blonde. I poured a round of shots and spoke softly, “that’ll be seventy-five.”
He placed a card on the counter and I nodded, stepping away with it, placing it on the register in a file. I stepped back, “Cherry, if you need help, ask for it. Don’t overwhelm yourself.”
“Yes, Miss James,” the redhead said and I stepped away slowly.
A gentleman approached me, “hi, I just saw you behind the bar. Do you know who the manager is?”
“Yes, what can I do for you?” I asked concerned with what this man could be concerned about.
“Well, can I see the manager?” he asked looking around, he obviously didn't think I could be the manager.
“You are,” I said softly and smiled.
“Oh,” he stood up straight.
“What were you expecting a bald headed man or something?” I smiled. “Sorry, what can I do for you?”
“You may want to look at one of your stages,” he said and pointing towards stage four. I instantly saw what he was talking about, “thank you sir. I’ll handle it.”
With that I walked away and towards stage four off in the corner. I stood at the foot of the stage, “Candy…” She stopped rolling on the stage and I looked at her, “straighten your act up or take yourself to the back to straighten up.”
She nodded hurried and walked off stage. I turned to the table, “sorry gentleman, I’ll have another one out here for your table in a moment.” I stepped around the stage and towards the back.
Candy was dabbing her bloody nose and I had it. I shook my head, “drugs again Candy?”
“No, no ma’am,” she said shakily.
“I don’t hire junkies!” I snapped at her. I looked around the room, “who else is working here that think it’s okay to come in here doped up?” I shook my head, “someone, stage four!” I looked around the room, no one moved. If no one was going to move, I was going to appoint someone. “Rose, stage four!” She nodded and hurried out.
I sighed and walked out of the back and towards my office. There was a knock on the door and I looked up to see one of the bodyguards here, Nick, “yes?”
“There is a group of men requesting the VIP floor,” he stated.
“How many are there?” I asked and looked at my computer.
“A large group, at least ten?” he said softly.
I nodded, “did you tell them price?”
“They said money was not a problem, ma’am,” he stated.
“Name??” I asked typing into the computer.
“They refused a last name, but they told me to use, Fiction,” he said softly.
I looked up at them at the word, “it’s settled, escort them up.”
“They also requested Miss Jessie James make a stage appearance,” he said softly. I nodded and sighed. “I told them Miss Jessie James doesn’t dance anymore, but they wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
I sighed, of course they wouldn’t. That was the time of men they were, “tell them she will make an appearance…thanks Nick.”
He walked out and I sighed, standing up I looked around the room. Changing my outfit and admiring myself; I smirked, they would get a show, maybe if they were lucky…
