A Shot In The Dark

**Shilohs’ POV**
Two hours later, Val and I were back on the bus, the guys already relocated to their dressing room. It was an hour until their set started, I had opted to miss out on the opening band, even though Bullet For My Valentine is one of my favorites. I needed to do this right and make sure that I would be accepted by Zacky to atleast talk.

I looked down at the black rose in front of me, “I hope he likes it.” I told Val as I trimmed down the plastic thorns. Those bitches hurt like the real ones and I didn’t want him to poke himself.

“I think he’ll give you crap about it, but it’s a sweet gesture,” Val giggled as she watched me.

I chuckled, “It is pretty lame.” I spritzed it with my perfume and grinned convinced it was perfect. I stood from the table and looked towards my suitcase, “Fuck…what do I wear?”

“You bring a cute short skirt?” Val asked me deviously.

“Yeah, always,” I flashed her my biggest smile which made her laugh. She immediately got up from the table and disappeared into the bunks for a moment.

When she returned she was carrying a shirt that had been cut; it was one of the guys, the neckline had been changed from a collar type to an off the shoulder style. The sides had been cut and tied for a fringed look. “I think you’d look fucking hot in this, and a short skirt, maybe some boots,” She mused.

I laughed and nodded, “Deal. I have my lacey black bra so it works.”

She smacked my ass playfully, “You’re gonna get laid tonight chick.”

I shook my head giggling, “That’s how I got in this mess and Jimmy claimed me tonight. No backsies.”

“Go get changed, we gotta go get in position for your first Avenged show,” Val encouraged me as she pulled out her make up kit and started on her make up.

When the intro to Critical Acclaim came on, they all dispersed out of the fog, coming out to their positions. Syn being put in a spotlight as his guitar solo popped up, followed by the lighting changing to illuminate the others. Then Zacky coming into the light to do their dueling guitars. “Shh, be quiet you might piss somebody off,” Matt sang as he moved across the stage, immediately engaging the crowd.

I felt the growing enthusiasm overrun the pit and hit my nerves. They were amazing live and all of their fans knew it. You could hear the girls screaming, the guys yelling along. Everyone was singing the lyrics, I was a little rusty on their songs, but I knew enough of the words to rock along to the music. Nodding my head in a light headbanging. Not over exerting myself, but definitely enough to go with the hype of the crowd. “See? They’re Amazing!” Val yelled excitedly over the crowd.

I laughed and nodded as Matt continued singing but halfway knelt down, engaging us with his presence. I couldn’t help but smile at him and he gave us a wink behind those shades. All the fans were screaming, wanting his attention. He smirked and continued to the other side of the stage and that’s when I caught Brian’s gaze. He flashed me a warm smile, ‘Ok weird.’ But I returned it as his smile went into a smirk and he sang back up vocals.

About four songs in, they slowed it down going to “Dear God” and that’s when Zacky and Syn switched sides. They had been walking around and I’d tried to catch Zack’s eyes but he avoided mine for the time being. Johnny; however, had flipped Val and I off, but of course everyone behind us thought it was for them and started laughing flipping him off back. I shook my head laughing and clutched the rose in my hands.

When Matt started singing, “We all need, that person who can be true to you, but I left her when I found her. And now I wish I’d stayed,” Zacky was staring directly at me, his heart in his eyes. He was singing along without a mic, but his gaze stayed steadily on mine. He neared the edge of the stage and smiled sadly at me then looked past me towards the crowd.
I felt the rose still in my hand and I longed to hand it to him, but couldn’t bring myself to do so. When they moved onto “Unbound” to pick things back up, I caught Zack’s attention again before he went back to the other side. His fingers brushed mine and his eyes were so beautiful. He smirked knowing there was still an electrical charge between us and took the rose, sticking it sideways in his mouth wiggling his eyebrows.

I laughed and Val wrapped her arms around me guarding my tummy and I laid my arms on hers, she was truly my best friend and would make a great God Mother. That’s when I realized what I wanted to do. I turned to look at her and she raised an eyebrow, “I know what I wanna do.”

“What?” She asked over the music then leaned her ear in to where it was right in front of my mouth.

“I’m keeping the baby, you’re going to be the God Mother,” I yelled to her and she pulled away looking surprised at me, before she grinned widely and started jumping up and down excitedly.

I laughed as we once again caught the attention of the Avenged guys, I hadn’t even noticed that they had began playing Beast and the Harlot. I smirked at Val, “Let’s give them something to oogle!” I yelled at her over the music, but apparently the guys hadn’t heard.

She smirked, “What do you have in mind?”

“Wait til they disperse! Then I’m gonna kiss you!” I chuckled at her, knowing that she would go along with it.

She smirked and looked up at Matt and blew him a kiss to get him to move on. When they got to the guitar solo, I grabbed Val and just as I saw all of them look at us I kissed her passionately. She returned the kiss, our fingers in each others hair. We heard a slight fumble from Syn and Zack and pulled away looking up at the stage. All the guys had the most dumbfounded look on their faces as they tried to compose themselves.

Johnny whistled at us and Matt threw him a dirty look and flipped him off. We laughed knowing that we’d pay for that later but it was too much fun to see them squirm. Oh this was gonna be an interesting night.

**Zacky’s POV**
As we played our show, we kept getting distracted. Don’t get me wrong, it worked and the fans loved our antics, but I kind of felt bad that our attention was disrupted. We did our best to perform to everyone and not show favor to Val and Shi, but kinda difficult.

I met Shiloh’s eyes during Dear God and I felt whole again. I missed that girl something terrible. When we started The Beast and the Harlot, we heard a shrill squeal from the front of the stage, and we all leaned in to figure out what was going on. I saw a mischievous glint in Shiloh’s eyes as she whispered something in Val’s ear, which in turn spread a mischievous look to her.

Val blew a kiss at Matt as a sign for all of us to disperse and so we followed orders, atleast until a guitar solo picked up and Gates and I were supposed to go back to back. It was then that I saw her move out of the corner of my eye and next thing I knew they were making out. Like right there, like in front of everyone. I couldn’t believe my eyes but nodded from Gates to Shi and Val; Matt catching it too. He stood there dumbfounded. Gates missed a couple notes through his solo from ogling the girls and it was then they broke apart.

I felt my dick twitch a bit and bit my lip as we once again went our separate ways on stage. I don’t know what she’s doing here, but all I know is that we’re about to have our entire world get interesting as fuck.
