This was bullshit. This was fucking, utter bullshit. Who did that bitch think she was? Who did she think she was? Did she know who I was? Did she know who my father was? As soon as Daddy got me out of here, I was going to hurt her. I was going to make that bitch pay for everything she'd done to me.

If it wasn't for her, I would be the most famous bull rider in the world. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have a restraining order or a police record. If it wasn't for her actions, we would still be together and in love. Who the fuck did she think she was?

The police officer walked over to me, sending me a sympathetic look. I glared at him. Did this stupid animal think I needed his sympathy? I was Clay fucking Anderson. I was a god damn gift to this earth, and that officer was nothing more than horse shit on the bottom of my boot.

"Clay," my dad said. He was a big guy, like me. We were basically carbon copies of each other, but I was much younger and much more handsome than he was. "What did you do this time?"

My eyes rolled to my father's. "Nothing. This was Haylee."

My father's eyes lit up. He hated that bitch as much as I did. "Ah, I see. Well, let's get you home. You need to be more careful around Haylee. You know how she can be."

I nodded my head, not really listening to him. Dad thought I should leave Haylee be, let her get away. He didn't understand that I was the one that ended a relationship, not her. I decided when we were through, and I was not through with Haylee Lewis.

Tina's ranch was large, an oasis for cattle and horses. It was really no wonder that she had been such an excellent barrel racer; she had all this land to practice on. It was also no wonder that her husband was such a successful cattlemen. Everyone wanted the cattle from this ranch.

I watched as she talked to Anna and Haylee. Tina was telling them what they were doing wrong, preparing them both for Vegas. My eyes narrowed. Haylee wasn't allowed to go to Vegas; she wasn't even allowed to barrel race. I had tried to make sure of that years ago, so that she could stay with me. But like always, she disobeyed me.

Her horse, Snap, didn't like me. And I didn't like him either. People said that animals were good judges of character, but I thought they were just stupid animals. What the fuck would an animal know about me? Snap had to go, so did Anna and Tina. They all corrupted Haylee. Haylee could have no support. I would make her come back to me.

Anna nodded at whatever Tina told her and grabbed Ranger, heading back to the stables. I guess they were done for the day, and that was what I needed. I could handle Tina and Haylee. Tina would never see me because she would be focused on Haylee. Haylee would never notice me because she would be focused on Snap and the barrels. Now I just had to make sure that Snap was spooked enough to hurt the bitch.

Carefully making my way through the field to the arena, I watched the ground for what I needed. I knew what Snap was afraid of, all horses were. There, right there! I grabbed the rattler by the head, making sure it's teeth pointed away from any part of my body.

When Tina's back was turned, I dropped the snake by the third barrel. Snap would be moving fast, but he would notice the snake. I'm sure it would give him quite the fright and considering he was moving fast, I knew Haylee would be hurt in the process.

Snap turned to the third barrel just as I hid behind a tree. Just as I thought, he reared back, sending the bitch flying through the air. She landed, and I could hear the thud from here. A smile crossed my face. Someone was going to have to take care of her, and I hoped that someone was me.

Notes

Oh boy, a Clay POV. I think I made Clay a little crazy, but it's going to be for a good reason. Enjoy loves!
