"My fellow Americans," President Obama stated over the TV. "It is with great reverence that I tell you this news. In an operation involving a group of the nation's special forces, tonight, I can finally announce the death of Osama Bin Laden."

A small smile grew on my face. We had done it. For the first time in eight years, I felt like the war was going our way. We had made strides before. It had started in early 2002 when the Green Berets had made headway in the battle up north. We had made more headway in 2003 when the Marines had seized Baghdad and carried out more swift seizures. And again in 2005 with the death of Saddam Huessin. Eventually, we had lost the respect and fever of the civilians and it seemed like the war was soon going to be lost soon. And now this. I knew the SEALs had done this, and there was one SEAL I wanted to call and talk to.

Matt. Matt still did funny things to me. We had actually kept a regular correspondence over the last two years. It could sometimes be infrequent, but we did talk. And we now lived very close to each other. I was there for him in the wake of yet another break-up, but I knew we could never do that again. No matter how much we both may have wanted it. There was far too much history, most of it bad.

I left my apartment and headed right for Matt's house. I had no idea if he had been on the mission for UBL or not, but it didn't matter. He was on SEAL Team Six, and he had to know more details than the public did. And I wanted to know, needed to know. So much of me had wished I had been on SEAL Team, but the Marine Force Recon was doing things I'm sure not even the SEALs would imagine doing.

Knocking on his door, I hoped he would answer. And I hope he would be in better spirits than he had been. I knew the death of Jimmy had been hard on him, of course it had been. But the others were starting to do better, even Brian. Brian had come back when Laura had given birth. They had all emerged slowly from their shells, everyone but Matt and Carol.

The door swung open and Matt stood in front of me buck-ass naked. I couldn't help it when my eyes traveled down. His cock was soft, but it was still a glorious sight to see. Even flaccid, the man was fucking huge.

"Um... Matt, pants?"

He looked down and sent me a small smile, a genuine smile. "Sorry, Rae. Come on in."

"You seem a little out of it, Matt. Are you okay?"

He nodded, tugging boxers over his ass and dick. I was sad to see the sight go, but it was good that he covered himself. We had a bad habit of fucking each other when we saw each other naked. He was just too damn attractive.

"I take it you heard the announcement by Obama? Before you ask, I cannot tell you in details," he said, "But yes I was there, and yes it was UBL. I got him back... I got him for Jimmy, Rae."

I smiled at him. "I'm glad, Matt. Are you okay now? Are you back?"

Matt sighed and looked at me. I could see the underlying emotions in his eyes. "I don't know, Rae. I just need you here for me."

Walking over to him, I hugged him. "I always will be." I hated to say that because I did want to move on with my life. I wanted to be married, to live a life beyond the military. And I wanted it all with him, but I just didn't think I could do it.
