“Here we are” Callie awoke slowly from the voice and her right leg being shaken gently.

“Home sweet home” Zacky said proudly, Callie looked around; the area was deserted, the land was flat and lush green, tall trees which seldom scattered the landscape stirred faintly in the soft spring breeze, not a single leaf appeared out of place. A lone building which seemed to be made from large grey cobblestones stood amongst the surroundings.

“Well let’s go in” Zacky announced, distracting Callie from her thoughts as he pulled the key from the car ignition and opened his door. Instead of going to her door he made his way to the boot of the vehicle. Callie saw this as her last possible chance to escape; she carefully pulled the gun from the doors storage compartment, giving her best attempt to hide it from Zacky’s view.

After rummaging through the boot and gathering items he wanted Zacky dropped them to the ground with a thump, leaving the boot open he walked round to the passenger side of the car. Callie took a deep gulp as she saw Zacky approach in the vehicles wing mirror, this was her last and only chance, it was all planned out from the moment they left the garage; the second the cuffs were removed she would shoot him, search his body for the car keys and escape, the plan was fool-proof, her mind was cleared of all doubt, this will work.

Zacky opened the door with a sharp tug, almost pulling Callie from her seat, but she managed to keep the weapon restricted from his vision. He pulled a bunch of keys from his jacket pocket, they clanged together as he separated the one he needed.

“Don’t bother screaming or trying to run” Zacky instructed.

“No one will hear you and there is nowhere to go. This area is deserted” Callie looked around again, there were no other buildings, there was nowhere to hide and no one to help. Zacky pulled her arm outside of the car so he had easy access to the handcuffs, it released from her wrist with an almost silent click.

“Move” Zacky demanded pulling her from the car, almost throwing her out, signalling for her to walk to the front door of the property as he returned the cuffs to his jacket pocket. She took a few steps forward then turned to face him, the gun held out with both hands at full arms reach.

“Take me home, please” She pleaded, her voice shaken, keeping the weapon held tightly within the grips of her fingers, eyes fully focused upon her target. Zacky stared back, a confident smile formed across his lips.

“What are you going to do? Shoot me?” he laughed as he took a few steps towards her, Callie took an equal number of steps away, fear causing her hands to shake; she had never thought of shooting someone before, much less hold a gun, this was working out to be more difficult than she originally planned. Her grip was loosening, but still she continued her aim. Zacky glared at the gun then into Callie’s eyes, he could see her fear, his smile widened.

“Go ahead, do it” he taunted, edging closer to the terrified female who had the opportunity to play god with just her fingertips. He continued to walk towards her, demanding for her to shoot him until her back was against the wall of the building. Callie remained with her arms outreached as Zacky approached her, only stopping once the gun was pressed against his chest.

“If you’re not going to do it then put the gun down” Callie took a deep breath and closed her eyes tightly, her whole body shook as she drew in another deep breath then applied pressure to the trigger.
