Absolutely nothing
I had no time for love, love was toxic, it consumed me, it poisoned me, clouding my vision in a haze of smoke while it burned my life to the ground. I lost sight of who I was and what I cared about when I was in love. And I'd had enough.
Had enough of being kind, of giving and getting nothing in return, of loving someone until it hurt, investing my entire being in another, only for them to rip me to shreds when they left. So I'd sworn an oath of solitary. I refused to ever let myself become a pathetic, lovesick puppy again.

Tall, Dark and Mysterious. A man of few words, unless he's trying to get in someone's pants. Currently battling with Alcholism, his chosen coping method as he struggles to come to terms with the death of his best friend, James Sullivan.
Cole Pierce
Rikki's former best friend. He is the Bassist of Ocean Avenue, a metalcore band that has begun to build quite a large following in the Huntington Beach area. Unfortunately, as their success grew, as did Cole's ego. From a once sweet, sincere young man who Rikki felt she could trust with her life, Cole has become self-absorbed, cocky, and status-obsessed. He took advantage of Rikki's intense emotional attachment to him, and ditched her after they finally slept together. Leaving Rikki terrified to open up to anyone ever again.
Dominic Stone aka "Sparky"
Rayleigh's younger brother. Current Manager of Johnny's. Rikki-Lee's right-hand man and occasional Friend-With-Benefits. Flirtatious, but has a heart of gold. Very laid back and carefree.

Rayleigh "Ray" Stone
Rikki-Lee's best friend since grade school. Dominic's older sister. She loves to party, but during the week, she's devoted to her work as a Journalist. Rayleigh can see Rikki's on the path to nowhere fast, over-indulging in her self-destructive behavior as she tries to forget her past. She tries to be a good influence and encourage Rikki to find some sort of work to really stick her teeth into and regain some balance and direction in her life.
