Who Are You?

God Damn

.:.:.

Elise slowly opened her eyes, a sense of panic setting in at the unfamiliar room around her. She lightly chucked upon realizing her stupidity.

"I don’t think I’ll get used to this." She thought as her green eyes scanned her new room.

Elise yawned and stretched her muscles before getting up and heading towards the bathroom. She opened her bedroom door to complete silence. Having no idea what time it was, she assumed Leana was still sleeping. Elise quickly walked into the bathroom but quietly shut the door. She immediately went over to the toilet to begin her business; an instant heat radiated across her face as she wiped herself. Memories of last night’s dream came rushing back to her.

God damn, it was so vivid and felt so real. So much so it had given Elise a lovely wet dream. Her next encounter with Matt was going to be awkward.

The water flushed as she finished and washed up, making sure to brush her teeth and pull her hair into a messy bun. Elise peeked her head around the door frame and scanned what she could of the apartment. Although she didn’t see or hear anyone, she still bolted for her room. She was self-conscious being bra-less while wearing only a tank top and pajama pants. Death would visit her with a certificate of ‘Dying from Embarrassment’ if anyone would see her.

Elise sorted through her stack of clothes before settling on yoga pants and a men’s Slipknot shirt. This left her with four other outfits; one pair each of yoga pants, jeans, and black work pants along with a ¾ sleeve bodycon dress. She had a few undershirts, band shirts, and button up shirts with the obvious wardrobe of socks, panties, bras, flipflops and Converse. She decided to visit her Uncle today for info about his uniform dress code before Friday, which was only two days away. She had almost everything she needed for the job as far as pants, dress socks, and a Food Handler’s Card went.

She changed quickly and lightly dusted her face with powder foundation, only mascara around her eyes. Elise grabbed her keys, phone, and purse while slipping her flipflops on and leaving the room.

Everything was still quiet as she walked down the hall way. Elise wondered if anybody was even home until she heard a light snort come from the couch. Her eyes widened a bit as she looked over and saw Matt knocked out on the couch. His shirt was off, a blanket tangled around his legs and pulled somewhat across his chest. Even though Zacky and Gena had cleaned a bit before they left, you couldn’t tell. Beer bottles littered the coffee table along with a lonely bottle of whiskey.

"I hope he didn’t finish that by himself.” Elise worried.

Not wanting to wake him or creepily stare at this man any longer, she snuck over to the front door and closed it gently behind her.

.:.:.

The apartment’s parking area was nearly empty but that was expected. All the business men and women were probably sitting in their offices making more than enough money to pay for their luxury cars. She wondered why they opted for an apartment rather than a house on the beach. Then again, she knew greed ran the world. Elise would be happy making just enough on minimum wage and tips for rent and everyday expenses. She wanted to buy a decent dresser and computer desk along with more clothing but had to budget herself due to rent, phone bill, insurances, and credit cards.

Before leaving Riverside, Elise was somewhat taken care of by her parents but she still had to work and pay for her own expenses. Though she was grateful, she needed to branch out and be a real adult. Elise only hoped she could do it. God knows she was treated like an "at-risk child" where her parents kept her.

She reached her truck and got into the driver’s seat. She turned the ignition and cracked the windows to let the hot air out. Her AC was instantly cranked to the highest it would go. California was California; it could be the end of December sometimes and you’d still have to use the AC. Mother Nature was a finicky being. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of May which meant it was only going to get hotter. Her truck’s temperature read it was 91 degrees out which was terrible for barely 10 o’clock in the morning.

“God, it’s so hot.” Elise whined putting on her sunglasses.

“Why, thank you!” a voice chirped from her left.

She jumped and growled, “Why does everyone like doing that?”

“Honestly? It’s becoming more and more fun.” Matt grinned. “So, how’re you this morning?”

Thanks to the butterflies in her stomach, she couldn’t help but smile.

“I’m well, thank you. I’m actually going to meet with my uncle, err “boss” in a little bit. I’m surprised you’re awake already. How’re you?” she pulled out her phone to avoid his gaze, even if it was hidden from her by his aviators.

Matt stepped back from the window to take a drag of his cigarette. He blew the smoke from his lungs and answered. “I had to pee like a racehorse. My bladder wouldn’t let me stay asleep any longer. As for your question, I’m alright. Just a little dehydrated from all the fucking alcohol I drank last night.” He chuckled while taking another puff.

Elise glanced over towards Matt as he scraped the cigarette butt against his shoe. Flashes of
her dream plagued her mind. Matt’s breath against her ear, his hand on her neck, his dic-

“Eliiiiiise?” Matt was waving his hand in this woman’s face, desperate to get her attention.

“Huh? What? Oh, sorry.” She sighed, scratching her head.

“It’s alright. I was asking if you wanted some company. Y’know, in case you get lost or kidnapped or...something” Matt trailed off while waving his hands around.

Elise didn’t know how to answer. A whole day with Matt was the last thing she expected.

Then again, maybe it would be a nice distraction.

“I think I might like that. Maybe you can show me to the nearest McDonalds. I’m hungry as hell.” She laughed.

“I can do one better.” He answered before walking around and climbing into the truck.

Woo! Go Matt for taking charge! Definitely worth the wait

That's definitely the best way to stop the teasing. I love that Matt was bold enough to cut the bullshit so to speak.
