On Tour

Not Naked But Famous

"So wait, you're meaning to tell me... Our Johnny Cash cover has more views than any other music videos we've ever done?" Karma asked in disbelief, but she saw exactly what was on the screen.

"Absolutely," Larry's voice sounded through the phone's speaker. He was on loud and the whole band was huddled around the telephone. "What the fuck," Karma let out, since it was the first thing that came to her mind. Seriously, how? How does this internet thing even work?

"That's not all. My inbox is practically drowning in e-mails requesting Karma to collaborate on songs. You guys must have hit a nerve. Even Lady Gaga shared your video to her twitter, and that Justin Bieber kid you guys publicly insulted just a week ago. Yeah, I'm talking to you, Zacky. Calling someone a faggot is NOT NICE. And then I guess it just... Went viral." Larry cleared his throat after saying that.

"AWESOME," Syn let out, "take that, fucking Turbonuts." They all laughed. "I think it's pretty clear who's winning the contest," Larry chuckled, then became serious. "Karma, I talked to your manager Trey, he's sorting through all those e-mails and sending you the offers that seem most interesting. I personally would recommend doing that BoB and David Guetta stuff, that's really hot right now." WHAT? Fucking... they ... they want me?

"Karma goes fucking mainstream," Johnny chuckled, then stuck his tongue out. "Yeah yeah," Karma retorted and showed him the finger. She felt her body heat up at the realization what a chance this would be for her solo career.

She was excited, really. This could be her final possibility to make it really big. One or two great collaborations, a new album in half a year, a movie or some series...

Can I write an album in half a year? Fuck yeah I can. Modern music is so easy to write. All you need are four chords and one of those rappers on the intro, she thought, drifting away as the others around her ate and typed an e-mail to Raken and the Nuts.

Karma found it somewhat childish that they played along Raken's stupid games, but she didn't really mind, either. I can really make it big, it's all I ever dreamed of, she thought as a genuine happiness made itself felt in her entire body.

“Can I talk to you for a sec?" Brian asked, his expression very serious. Karma nodded. He walked her over to a secluded room. BUSINESS ONLY, a sticker told them, but they went in anyway. She heard Brian exhale for a long time behind her. Turning around, she realized he was pressing his back against the door, looking pained in a way.

"What's bugging you?" she asked, then prepared for the worst. He just kind of admitted he likes me more than he should like a day ago. What if this is about that issue again? I don't even know how to handle that....

"I don't know how to say this, K," he started talking at a low volume, then ran his fingers through his longish hair, "Can you guys... like, not fuck so loud? I mean... With all I told you it would be nice if you could, you know. I'm asking for some consideration here." She felt her palms start to sweat. Why do I have that effect on him?

"Also, do you really think you already forgave him for what he did? He could have a kid for fuck's sake," he exclaimed. Things processed very fast. Before she knew, she was pressed against the door by Brian. His smell invaded her mind like a parasite. Do I smell alcohol on your morning breath?

"Why not me, Karma? I'd be so much better to you."
"Let me go! Let me go or I swear I'm gonna scream for help," she whizzed, hating that she had to do this to him. He'd obviously lost his mind.
"Not if I shut you up."

Suddenly, his lips were on hers. Karma stared at his peaceful expression in shock as he started moving his lips against hers. Her hands against his chest, she wondered why they didn't obey to her brain commanding them to push him away. He used his hips to pin her against the door once more, and she could feel how much he wanted it.

What the fuck? What the fucking fuck is happening here? Finally he pulled away, looking at her guiltily. How long did we kiss? WHY did we kiss?
"You've gone too far, asshole," she spat, ready to turn around and leave him in there.
"I know," he whispered.

Her hand was already at her door when she was roughly grabbed by her shoulder and swirled around. "Look, I'm sorry," he offered, "I don't know what overcame me. I swear it won't happen again. Please, let's not tell anyone..." The look on his face was begging.
"Give me some time to think it through," she said with a sigh.

Her phone rang, and she gladly excused herself when she saw it was Trey. "Karma, you're famous," he began without even saying hello. "I made so many arrangements today. If you ask me, I think you need to give me a raise." Ha, stuck-up asshole, Karma thought with a grin.
"I'm not asking you, Trey."

"Alright, we'll get to that later. Anyway pack your stuff, a cab will be waiting in 15 minutes. In an hour, you're on a flight to London where I'll be meeting you shortly. I just landed. You're having a photo shoot for Teen Vogue at 2 and we'll be meeting with a publicity coach at 5. We'll have you back in Madrid before the show starts."

Wait, what? Fucking... Teen Vogue? Is he being serious right now? But Trey didn't give her any time to even respond. Karma's ears tingled. Even through her shitty broken phone she'd heard how fast he'd hit the end call button, a habit he'd picked up over the years.

"I, uh, see you guys tonight. Have a bunch of Karma stuff in London apparently," she said and rushingly walked by the table they were sitting at, still busy. "Bye," the guys mushed their goodbyes, not even looking up from Zacky's phone and the ridiculously childish e-mail they were sending to their concurring, even more ridiculously childish band.

Well, except for Matt. He didn't exactly look pleased at her words. "You alright?" she mouthed, but he just stared at her angrily. Karma tilted her head sideways, motioning for him to come outside with her.

"What's wrong?" she asked, and Matt forced a smile. "Nothing, it's just... I made arrangements for us today while you all were talking to Larry. Should have been a surprise. No big deal, but I was really looking forward to it. And what the fuck did Brian want from you? I don't trust that asshole."

Karma felt a pang of guilt inside her chest as she heard him say that. Actually, two pangs. She was flattered at how hard he was obviously trying, but at the same time feeling guilty about letting that kiss with Brian happen, even if she didn't particularly enjoy it. Right?

"I'm sorry," she whispered, not particularly knowing what for and looked around for any possible witnesses before getting onto her tiptoes and placing a kiss on his soft lips. "Don't be," he said, but his expression told her otherwise.

"What would we be doing today if I'd stayed?"
"I can't tell you yet. Maybe it'll work out some other time." Karma nodded.

They were interrupted by a taxi honking loudly in front of the entrance. "Taxi para Karma Strikes," a young local exclaimed. Shit, and I didn't even pack yet! Karma blew Matt another kiss and rushed upstairs to get her stuff. This was going to be exciting!

Twenty minutes later, she arrived at the local airport. She was surprised to see that Trey had already checked her in and reserved her seat. All she had to do was walk on the plane, which was already ready for boarding when she arrived at the gate, and wait for take off.

Just as she was about to switch off her phone as the onboard instructions told her to, it vibrated.

MATT <3:
Missing you already. Sorry about being jealous of Brian. It's Brian. You know I'm trying.

God, Karma thought as she typed a short reply, I really hope the next couple of days are not going to be like today.

The plane touched ground shortly after it departed. When Karma arrived at the baggage claim hall, she saw Trey already waiting for her. He looked strange with his new hair cut. Usually, his dirt blond hair was even longer than Karma's, and he kept it in a ponytail. But today, it was half long and sleeked back.

Just like all the fuckboys on those TV series, Karma thought. Doesn't suit him at all. Is that suit new?

"We're late, we're late, we're so late," he exclaimed as he took her by the hand and rushed her outside. "TAXI! TAXI!" he screamed. "Wait, my... luggage?" Karma managed to let out between heavy breaths from running all the way outside the building. "I already made arrangements for those. They'll be sent to your hotel for tonight. Now buckle up," Trey commanded before he leaned forward and told the driver some address.

Oh boy, Karma thought, this is gonna be way more stressful than I thought...
She typed a quick text to Matt as they drove. When they arrived at the venue, a sickly thin gum-chewing girl with short, spiked green hair and more piercings in her left ear than the entire band had combined rushed to meet them. "I'm Nia, follow me please."

As they walked, Nia's glassy brown eyes mustered Karma's shape. "Well girl, we'll have a lot to retouch with that shape." Wait, what? The bitch insulting me?

"These are the clothes we sorted out for you," Nia said, pointing towards a hanging rail with lots of bright clothes. In the background there was a white screen and people were busily roaming around. "These," the girl said as she pointed to a pink dress, yellow pants and two blouses, "will definitely not fit you." Or be ever touched by me. They're ugly as fuck.

There it was again, her look. Karma suddenly felt highly uncomfortable in her body although she'd never had any problems concerning her weight. She was a two, sometimes a four. A good, athletic size for a girl.
Right?

I'm so glad you sticked with me until the end, and it makes me even happier to hear you liked the ending even though it was not so happy (or in your case, Lady Revenge, the entire story. God you're a quick reader!!). But that's how I wanted to begin my sequel :)
Much love to you my friends :)
