Crossroads
Summary
Ten years ago, I was young, naive, and desperate for fame and fortune. Lacking the abilities to make those dreams a reality, I took a drive to a Crossroads somewhere out in the Nevada desert, following an old tale I had heard as a child from my father about the late, great Robert Johnson.
I summoned a Demon by the name of Crowley; and I made a deal.
Ten years have passed since that night. I have experienced all the luxuries of being a rock star; I have traveled the world, opened for my Heroes, Women adore me, and thousands of people know my name. - But nothing, nothing can destroy your dreams faster than losing your best friend in the entire world.
So I struck another deal; My life, for the life of James Sullivan, and an extension of my original deal - But it came at a price; For the rest of my Mortal Life, I work for Crowley, dragging rogue demons back to whence they came.
Living's a wicked dream, where things turn out all wrong...
Characters
Asher
Micheal's younger brother. Grew up following in Micheal's footsteps and learned all he knows about Hunting from his older brother. - Despite his protests. As time went on, Micheal allowed Asher to assist him, noticing that he had potential and the drive to get things done. After Micheal's injury, Asher decided to stay home to care for him and is now the Roadhouse bartender. He still goes on hunts occasionally, but very few and far between.
Brian Haner Jr aka Synyster Gates/Eli Hellwin
All Brian ever wanted was to be a successful musician, live the life of a Rock Star and marry the girl of his dreams. When he figures out a way to ensure all he desires can come true, he seizes it on impulse - but there is a price to pay. Ten years later, as his fate draws ever nearer, Jimmy unexpectedly overdoses, so Brian negotiates the conditions of his deal. - But there is no rest for the weary. Now, the dream of being a Rock Star is just a distant memory, as he serves under Crowley. Under the Alias "Eli Hellwin", he hunts for the very thing that took away the love of his life.
Cassie
Former classmate of Brian's, ended up working at Shadows of Salem after they graduated. Brian hasn't heard from her since his visit to the shop ten years ago, and more or less forgot about her until the Missing Persons posters appeared around town. Nobody knows what happened to her, and something seems not quite right about her disappearance.
Castiel
Castiel is a powerful angel of the Lord who was responsible for saving Dean Winchester from Hell. It was his job to help prevent Lilith from breaking the 66 Seals that, once broken, would release Lucifer from his cage in Hell and bring forth the Apocalypse. Once Castiel learned that the angels wished to free Lucifer anyway, he defied his angelic brethren and sided with Sam and Dean, ultimately dying at the hands of Lucifer, but was later resurrected by God. To this day, he remains a powerful friend and ally to the Winchester brothers.
Crowley
Former King of the Crossroads and current King of Hell. Sold his soul in his human life for an extra three inches below the belt. Brian's Boss, he brought Jimmy back from Limbo in exchange for Brian's eternal loyalty and obediance.
John Constantine
"Exorcist, Demonologist and Master of the Dark Arts" - though he'd often comment that "Master" should be replaced with "Petty Dabbler". John is an occult detective from Liverpool, England. Snarky and quick-witted, he's known for doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
Micheal
A Hunter who was forced to retire when his spinal cord was severed by a Demon, damaging his nerves and leaving him paralyzed. Seeing as he can no longer work, he has resorted helping other Hunters from Home, now spending his days researching folklore and providing solutions for other Hunters out on the field. He was first inspired to become a Hunter as a small child, by watching the Winchester brothers battle a Shtriga that was attacking small children in his town (including his younger brother, Asher) leaving them comatose in hospital. Before his injury occurred, he re-built Harvelle's Roadhouse from the ashes, which once again serves as a Haven for Hunters who are passing through.
Michelle Dibenedetto
Brian's Fiance. From the moment Brian laid eyes on her in Eighth Grade, he was completely smitten. He was way too shy to ever speak to her, thinking she was way out of his league, until his sudden status as the Lead Guitarist of Avenged Sevenfold caught the attention of her twin sister, Valary, who introduced the two. Ten years later, not long after Brian finally plucked up the courage to propose, Michelle was killed in a mysterious house fire. After confronting Crowley, Brian learns that because Michelle's death was at the hands of a Demon, Crowley cannot resurrect her as he would with someone who died of natural, human causes. Distraught over her Death, Brian leaves Orange County and his bandmates behind, and sets out to find the Demon who took Michelle's life.
Roxanne "Roxy" Matthews
Skilled Hunter and illegitimate daughter of Pamela Barnes. Prefers to work alone. She was put up for adoption immediately after her birth as Pamela was only sixteen years old and couldn't support her, with the intention of giving her a chance at a better life. But this went down in vain when she was Adopted by a family of Hunters, whom she watched die at the hands of a Werewolf when she was only Sixteen years old. She suffers from survivors guilt and blames her own cowardice for her family's demise. Lives at the Roadhouse with Micheal and Asher, and has an alligence with the Winchester brothers.
Sam and Dean Winchester
The single two most skilled Hunters in America - Likely, the whole world. They lost their mother in a mysterious house fire when they were children, which was later revealed to be a result of a grand scheme conducted by the demon Azazel. The intention: To free Lucifer from Hell and take Sam as his rightful Vessel in the Apocalypse. They've saved the world more times than anyone can count, and have overcome obstacles that would have easily brought other men to their demise. Roxanne is like a Little Sister to them and they would jump in front of a bullet for her without hesistation.
